I spent exactly one week on the Faroe Islands working together with the local tourism board to show you an interesting mix of the best things to do in the faroe islands from outdoor adventures, iconic panoramas and food experiences to one of the largest festivals in the country named „G! Festival“.
Beside checking out the local attractions I got the chance to truly live like a local - I stayed with a local family for a few days, got invited by farmers for dinner and went hiking with one of the most famous outdoor adventurers.
Together with travel blogger Amanda Williams I rented a car and went on a road trip to the most popular instagram hot spots, got to do sea kayaking and said hi to Puffins on Mykines island. Visiting the annual G! festival was the perfect finish to a memorable trip…topping it off with a helicopter flight. What a ride!
This trip was executed within 7 days - following I list all the places I visited & Things to do in the Faroe Islands:
- Traelanipa (hiking with Reika Adventures)
- Torshavn
- Gasadalur & Mulafossur
- Hoyvik (sea kayaking with NEX)
- Mykines (Puffins & Lighthouse hike)
- Tjornuvik
- Gjógv
- Vidareidi & Cape Enniberg
- Gota
- G! Festival
- Helicopter flight with Atlantic Airways

Do you plan a trip to the Faroe Islands? Here I gathered all information based on my trip: www.back-packer.org/things-to-do-faroe-islands-itinerary/
How can I travel to Faroe Islands
I'm here from Dubai
BackPacker Steve it’s a paradise.
i live in the faroe islands.
@@leraestores1701 Take a JET Plane to haul you down and safely land on their mini convertible air port. Just kidding!
Paradise and nice place so peaceful i want to go there im from Philippines
I love Faroe Islands. So beautiful
I always see this beautiful place whenever I watch movie like vikings, etc.
Amazing People and a Fantastic Island. God bless everyone richly.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Simply _spectacular_ group of islands - inhabited by honest, hardworking & very friendly people!
AND BLOOD THIRSTY, TOO!
@@lindanorris2455 Sure, we should all eat grass, it doesn't have (red) blood! 😆
@@sharkamov there's a difference between hunting for necessity and hunting for the fun of it. Karma will get you some day. ;)
Holy.... Steve, these islands are absolutely stunning! I may not visit them in the next year, but now it's absolutely on my list. The landscape is just unreal. It's different. It's not alpine like Patagonia and the European Alps. The unique blend of green and cliffs next to the sea are mesmerizing. Even as much as you've seen of the world, this must have been a real treat!
It is totally like that - a very unique place with an incredible landscape...and the people are so welcoming and friendly (at least in my experience) which is even more surprising if you see the weather conditions they have to deal with every day. I want to go back soon as there are so many cool places I haven't seen / hiked to yet ;)
Go in the summer and take part in a mass slaughter! ruclips.net/video/ep2-_ofP19Q/видео.html
Hello Raúl!! Yes, the Faroe Islands are magnificent and a place to go soon!! But, I'm afraid you're completely wrong: Patagonia, in Argentina, my country, it's not at all "Alpine"!!!!! It's "Andean" and it has a unique landscaspe, a mixture of mountains over 6.000 m, glaciars (including the only one that advances, 80 m high), petrified woods, lakes and fast-flowing rivers, falls, deserted steppes, volcanos, dinosaur fossils, salt flats, and deep green valleys, the Valdivian Jungle, flamingoes, whales, orcas, dolphins, walruses, penguins, maras, guanacos, pumas, more than 232 species of birds, plus sheep as cute as those from the Faroes, etc, etc!!! Perhaps you have never been in our beloved and definitively not Alpine-like Patagonia? If not, I'm inviting you to visit my land whenever you want. Love from the South, Lil
nice video. I myself live in The Faroe Islands. And i believe i don't see it as beautiful as you see it. But still it's truly a paradise made of lava
Faroe Islands is a beautiful and mystic country.

Faroe Islands looks beautiful awesome and incredible. I would love to go there oneday.
Looks gorgeous
I have to say that it was a pleasure to watch this video. The equipment, cameras, drones, background music was all done so professionally making it very enjoyable. I watch a lot of RUclips and 99.8% of uploaded videos are absolute garbage. Amateur would be an understatement. Yours is a delight.
+Chris McMahon thank you, very flattering!
So beautiful islands... Maybe someday I'll be lucky to see them.
Enjoy this very much but some of the musical background I could do without.

got to love Visit Faroe Islands
Stunning
Such a great video about at amazing place!!!! Thanks for all the information!
That's it??? How could you have left out the annual killing of the whales--you know, where they drag them into the shallows and fill the water with that pretty red color? Surely, there must have been room/time to show that lovely spectacle. I heard it is a real tourist attraction. I hear the best way to go, is first see the slaughter, then go straight to a rock concert--gets you in the mood. Years and years later, you can show the photos and all those tranquil memories--what a serene place.
Very nice. Truly enjoyed but will probably never go there ... from the USA
what a nice island amazing natures
It looks so Beautiful! I hope to have the opportunity to visit some day. ☺
Simply awesome. Love to be there some day!

Thank you for sharing the video.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing and welcome back some day :)
Beautiful
Hey, that's the Airbnb were staying at this coming June.
Thank you❤❤
Amazing 👏
Wow breath taking landscape, it's really nice on film but in person.
What's the summer heatwave temperatures get to about 45 dgr F ?
I dont know what the celcius conversion would be?
You talk about hiking, and boats, and concerts with hottubs, and helicopter rides, mt climbing.
What no paragliding, hang gliding?
I could see someone powered hang gliding over the terrain, I dont think you would get a good lift for doing that without a motor on the glider.
So jumping off a cliff with a hang glider might not be a good idea.
I've only done it once, and if you have no lift you fall like a rock unless you can get the kite to catch some air.
Heaven on Earth 🌏 my dream place
GREAT VIDEO ENJOYED
attracting place which i like the best.
Great, Man.
I saw the "Includes paid promotion" and thought, -let me guess, Visit Faroe Islands?
"So I was invited by visit Faroe Islands."
*spits my drink* -I KNEW IT!
Yes I got invited by Visit Faroe Islands but was totally free to set up my own itinerary and had a rental car to explore on my own. Visit Faroe Islands invited me for the G Festival but I wanted to see also the nature and as much of the islands as possible so we extended my stay and got to work with local guides.
I'm always transparent about my cooperations and only work with Partners who accept my terms and align with my travel style and audience. My videos are totally free to watch for everyone - video productions like this wouldn't be possible in the long run without external support.
It was Amazed !
uh thats something special👌🏻😍
Sometimes I'm in need of those special places - and I'm even more happy if you guys like it, too!
I fell in love with those landscapes❤ (good video quality)

I would not be wandering drunk at night looking for my friends with that mountain cliff 😱😱😱
Mø is danish so only a little international that one ;)
Absolutely amazing! Btw, what’s the name of the song that starts from the beginning? Thx
really it’s a beautiful Island. Please if you have time visit my island Sri Lanka too. It’s locat in Indian Ocean. Just visit my heaven 🙏
Reminds me a lot of Iceland. From the ice-carved mountains to the boozy music festival. Really want to go there someday soon.
WOW! Amazing video! You remind me of my unforgettable trip to Faroe Islands in June! But so pity I don't have enough time to go to Vidareidi. I hope next time I could make it there! Is it a must to hire a guide to hiking to Enniberg? And how long it takes to up and down? Is it possible to climb to the mid pard of the mountain by myself if I just wanna have a higher view of Vidareidi? That would be a lot of help. Thx Steve!:)
Hey Frank - you can do it without a guide but as I was there during a foggy time I really appreciated the help (it would have been difficult to navigate as you could barely see..but it was clear on the way back) but also the info I got. The hike up to the mountain before crossing over to Enniberg is easily doable as the path is clearly visible.
BackPacker Steve Thx for reply Steve! How long does it take to hike up and down? And if I hire a guide how much does it cost usually?:)
You should factor in about 4-5h for getting up to Enniberg, enjoying it and getting back down...but it all depends on weather and your fitness level.
Regarding guides you are looking at more or less 160€ per day, depending on the activity - e.g. if you are a party of 4 this splits into about 40€ p.P.
Thx for your useful information Steve! Plan to try climbing in late February, hope it won't be too tough:)
Frank Bai just have to say good luck if you want to climb anywhere here in February, already many tourists having problems in the mountains in summertime:) anyway wish you a good trip if you come here:)
Can't wait 3 wks
I live in Spain do i need visa to visit the FI
