And they brought in minshew because they never really had a shot at the guys they really wanted.
What the Falcons did is INFURIORATING... THEY RUINED Penix Career, destroyed their cap space, and ruined a QB needy teams season with this bull ish... They also pissed off Their 100 million dollar QB. The NFL needs to raise the salary of rookie top ten QBs selected in the draft to make this crap less common...
Lol ruined Penix career and pissed off Cousins. Those takes are way out there. Penix hasn't even shown he can have a career yet and Cousins is one of the most chill QBs on the planet.
All the raider and Minshew hate is silly. Hes better than any QB the last few seasons Jimmy g etc. period. He’s got fight and attitude and he’s more MOBILE than Carr. Even if they drafted penix or Daniel’s they would need a year. If they grabbed fields it may or may not have worked. Cousins ? With his age/injury. People wanted Wilson and he looks terrible. They shoulda kept CARR for last two seasons while grooming a great draft pick or shoulda gone big trade for an experienced person but nobody was letting a qb go other than Seattle and Minn. Lance? Picket? Zach W? Minshew can be solid. Eagles won SB w Foles. Where he at? 😂
As a Giants fan I'm ok with this year sucking IF it looks like a good QB would fix the issues. Last year they were not a QB away. Yes Mahomes would have done better but they wouldn't compete for anything. I want to see good pockets, open receivers, and hope Danny plays well. If he doesn't, I want to be able to say we're a QB away. I don't hate the off-season. Focus on the line, get yourself a number one target, Theo Johnson might be a player, running back and receiver groups look good. On paper it's a much better situation to throw a rookie into next year if that's the route they decide to go. I think Schoen and Daboll laid out a 4 or 5 year plan when they took on the job and will get a chance to see that through. I don't see them getting fired outside of disaster. Not necessarily record but if they lose the locker room. Last year (I know no one wants to hear it) but it is a good sign that the team played for Daboll down the stretch
When Jones left the game it was 14 - 10 far from a blow out and the 2nd INT came on a great play by the CB but it was the type of aggressive shot play downfield fans have complained Jones didn't throw in 2021 and 2022. I still think Jones will be gone at the end of the season even if he throws for 4000+ and 25+ TDs he will still be gone. Cap hit is too much to keep him around because his injury history makes it a huge risk because you never know when he will take a hit and his career will be over. It also makes extending him to lower those hits just as risky. especially with the inconsistent play. Jones is what he has been since he was drafted and AVG QB a game manager he will only be as good as the players around him. That is why his numbers are so good with Saquon as opposed to without him. I believe Jones has a good season probably the best he has had in his career. Because the O line and WRs are the best he has had but still not enough to keep him. Daboll has just been too good winning more games than he should have. Which is normally a good thing except when you are trying to get in to position to draft a QB.
Its crazy cause even my fantasy draft was crazy..so many moves that didnt make sense from pick 3. Someone took mahomes at pick 3. Then started all the crazy picks but got my top 4 guys thanks to that lol

AoC and Minshew are pretty much the same, AoC is better passer and in the pocket and Minshew has better legs, and the Raiders oline is hurt so pretty sure thats only reason he won start. Regardless not really worried, the offense is stacked.
Minshew is Fitzmagic 2.0 Theres gonna be ups & downs and flashes here & there but hes not the long term solution by any means and they'll most likely be picking up another QB next year
GM. With the raiders is a winning combo. Pittman jr. Over a thousand yards last year. Raiders have a better receiving than the colts did last year. Weakist links for raiders fron line, no protection & secondary.
I think what i find the most mind boggling about Daniel Jones is that we are now entering year 6 and i feel like ive seen almost zero growth from his rookie season. 2019 and 2020 you think "ok, rough but has potential" he had a decent 2022, probably because that was the only year he had a healthy Barkley. But other than that, it's the same mistakes, the same ugly throws and head scratching decisions.
Just like how sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it that truly matters, all pick sixes are not the same. That play was inexcusable. Falling away in your own end zone late and across your body. I just don't know how you fix that 😂
I honestly don’t think there’s anything to talk about now about the Falcons and trying to say they “botched” the draft.. they got their QB for the future who will be on a rookie deal for 3 years when he most likely takes over for Cousins after 2 seasons. Also gives a backup option and a chance for him to develop. Then they went out and traded for Judon, Judon is a much better option on D-line than an unproven rookie who if he got 10 sacks would be an insane season when Judon will probably get 15+ as long as he’s healthy. Also that rookie QB contract a reason why they can sign Judon. Then they got Simmons as well. Atlanta making all the critics look stupid now since they made moves for the future and to win now
I would argue the Falcons regret giving all that money to Cousins once they saw how much they really liked Penix, and now are forced to start Cousins because of said money.
@joseperales2381 I fully agree, only good thing is Cousins contract is basically only 2 years guaranteed then they can get rid of him. Atlanta only gave him all that money cause they panicked from missing at QB before, they tried to get Watson and lost him last second, then they could’ve signed Lamar Jackson but passed on him and after Ritter and Heineki failure they panicked and overpaid Cousins to get a QB. Titans did the same thing with AJ Brown, didn’t wanna pay him so they traded him, then drafted his replacement and was an epic failure and panicked and overpaid for Calvin Ridley when they could’ve just paid AJ Brown. Teams make a massive mistake and then overpay to not make a mistake but overpaying for that player is a mistake..
If i were the raiders i wouldve gotten Trey Lance and id have russell Wilson simply to lose for a whole year and have trey sit for a whole year and have him master an offense setup that youll run next year and honestly they really shouldve done that
@@E2J25 that's the point build thru draft you ain't gonna be good regardless for 2 years no matter what u do so why not acquire draft picks and build a team like most teams do???

We didn’t try hard enough to get up in the draft and it’s ok we got Bowers but we need to try to get a qb next draft.
I was really hoping you guys would grab a handful of Penix but the Falcons got greedy. He would've been a great fit for you all
@@ThePowerOfOneThePowerOfTwo yeah and now they probably finna set penix up for failure cuz they wanted two qbs
@@paytonhurde4092how can you say we didn't try hard enough when you have no clue how hard they did? Sean Payton said he tried hard to move up and the newer younger GMs are crap to deal with.
You at least took a top 5 talent that will entice a QB (Dak?) to sign
@@RB-.- yeah I’m very excited about Brock and I’m still on the fence with dak. Ik with this roster he’ll be great in the regular season but will he get us to a Super Bowl? He definitely makes us a playoff team but we want championships we tired of losing. I’m 21 we’ve been losing my whole life.
Raiders beat chiefs on Xmas day with aoc not even participating, Raiders have a very good D and Menshew is no scrub..
Raiders did get Cooper Bradley and he will be a great addition down the road
Everyone is so sure the raiders wanted one of the rookie qbs. I'm not sold. I think they would have taken JD or Caleb in a second, but i think they were thrilled to get a player like bowers at their pick.
Pittsburgh is a cool idea i feel kevin o connell will want tannehill more
An autumn wind after Taco night.
"Better"
Minshew is notorious for throwing picks.
Raiders for Shadeur Sanders 2025 💪🏽
Lol
Jesus Christ.
For some reason, Rich thinking Ryan Tannehill going to the Steelers would be "wild" cracked me up. Interesting? Sure, but WILD?
I think this will be the year that all 4 NFC East teams make it to the playoffs.
Qb1 throwing 2 int in the preseason... good luck
Don't see any reference of football player, coach, offensive coordinator, QB coach or GM in his resume...

Clllaaajjjeee MAMAOUUUUU‼️
Giants fan here- may be delusional and or wishful thinking but a two future firsts and a few mid rounders New England would have bit for a trade up. Or so I believe. Hope DJ comes through
AoC and Minshew are pretty much the same, AoC is better passer and in the pocket and Minshew has better legs, and the Raiders oline is hurt so pretty sure thats only reason he won start. Regardless not really worried, the offense is stacked.
I’m not saying the raiders are gonna be great or even good, BUT I am excited that I get to have fun again when I watch them play
Aiden playing by game 4 or 5.
Not taking Penix biggest mistake by Joe Schoen cuz I can’t handle another year of Daniel I can’t throw jones lol
They were so married to Danny Dimes 😂😂😂 absolutely embarrassing tbh
It won't be a full year, don't worry.
He clearly wasn't the QB they wanted especially at 6th.
Giants gonna surprise people this year
Minshew is Fitzmagic 2.0
Theres gonna be ups & downs and flashes here & there but hes not the long term solution by any means and they'll most likely be picking up another QB next year
GM. With the raiders is a winning combo. Pittman jr. Over a thousand yards last year. Raiders have a better receiving than the colts did last year. Weakist links for raiders fron line, no protection & secondary.
In Gardner Minshew I trust.
Raiders Dline is elite
Just like how sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it that truly matters, all pick sixes are not the same. That play was inexcusable. Falling away in your own end zone late and across your body. I just don't know how you fix that 😂
Teams that are “dark horses”, Cardinals, Raiders, Buccaneers, & Commanders
National media never gets raider player names right. Shows how much they really know about the Raiders… SMFH
Who cares.
Whining over nothing.
Uncle Rico got this 👨
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 rightttttt……
Bro even as a Raider fan you and I both know AOC got robbed. We done this year
Daniel Jones still sucks coming into year 6. Nothing to look forward to this season.
As a Giants fan and was a fan of the Jones pick
I agree with you
If this means the raiders suck this year to get Ewers, beck or sanders next year so be it. We got one of the absolute steals of the draft in bowers.
RAIDERS for life
Minshew took the Colts to one dropped shoulda caught pass to wildcard round against my fav Texans
It was 7 to 7 when the starters came out...
There is no way anyone high up in the Giants organization is spilling gossip to Rich.
He just taking an educated guess
Minshew can perform he just needs a team to treat him like a #1 QB instead of just some get me by until we find are guy!
At least the giants will have the #1 draft pick next year
Gardner's my boy LFG Raiders!!
He said Tre Turner 😂
I guess if you’re talking about bothe Tre Tucker and DJ Turner as a DBZ fusion pair 😂
I can live with Minshew's mistakes. At least he can extend plays and run for a damn first down.
Rich ❤😂 is back 🎉 couldn’t take no more of the ear man 👂
What to expect from the Giants? How about 2-15?
The draft was disappointing but I think Brock Bowers is going to be very good…
Tre Tucker*
I feel sorry for Malik Nabors. God Bless Bo Nix.
He morphed DJ Tucker and Tre Tucker into Tre Turner
Tre Tucker brother but LFG Raiders!!! Minshew will get the start and we will go from there...
The Giants drafted Jones too early and they didn't want to make that mistake again
Giants should have drafted McCarthy!! Not knowing he's gonna get injured. Better than Jones already!!
If i were the raiders i wouldve gotten Trey Lance and id have russell Wilson simply to lose for a whole year and have trey sit for a whole year and have him master an offense setup that youll run next year and honestly they really shouldve done that
Nah too bums doesn't make your team good
@@E2J25 that's the point build thru draft you ain't gonna be good regardless for 2 years no matter what u do so why not acquire draft picks and build a team like most teams do???
And Lance isn't qualified as being a bust IMO he's still very talented just needs the right voice
@AndrewLytton-w2b no he's definitely a bust already
