I would always choose the iPhone. I’m not sure why your iPhone 15 was scoring lower in Geekbench than mine, but mine usually gets 6700-6800 so it’s exactly on par with Samsung S24. Gaming tests show that gaming is still better on the iPhone - even iPhone 13 Pro is similar if not better than S24 Ultra Also when you consider that the iPhone 15 was meant to go against the S23 line, it destroys that phone. Much more powerful.
Just switched from an iPhone 14 Pro to the S24 Ultra. Man Samsung is such a practical phone. Apple selling 60 hz phones in 2024 is just unacceptable. Thanks for the video!
S24 with qualcom is great. To bad the rest of the world get exynos. Apple i behind with the normal 15 and 15 plus. Old chipset half the ram slow storrage slower ram. But its still smooth. With the pro models its a different story. Iphone wins with pro models samsung wins with midranges

Just to point out animation difference between iOS & Android, Samsung OneUI has improved a lot, but still not as polish & consistent as iOS. You can try to launch the camera on both, take a photo, view the photo, then swipe down to go back to camera. Now you will see Samsung (and most Android) animation looks choppy. (I just compare this at the store today) Some animation delay or slight stutter/lag: Android issue (UI animation not seemlessly smooth) 4:16 - Twitter Profile animation Samsung issue (occurs when opening app from memory): 8:34 - delay GeekBench 9:04 - Twitter 9:12 - delay Weather, Clock
Just to point out the facts about animation. iPhones also have so many disadvantages in spec, pricing, features, power-user, working, etc. I used Android since 2.2 till 13, installed custom roms for updates and smoothness, still love Android, but also own other iOS devices, so I know the difference.

this speed tests would be more interesting with the interal heat displayed in split screen. S24 vapor chamber is 1.5X bigger than the previous already huge one in the S23. Samsung have been improving all the vapor chambers in the Galaxy line up. And the Plus has only a marginally smaller batter and display than the S24 Ultra. This heat dissipation greatly improves performance and battery longevity because heat is the enemy of both. The fact that the first batch iPhone 15 Plus phones were overheating from a simple software glitch tells me Apple is behind Samsung in heat management. the combination of a giant battery, a stellar vapor chamber and 7 years of software support until the year 2031 (insane) is a tough to beat trifecta.
This is I've been waiting for. I help me to decide. The problem is the S24 plus here in the Philippines is the availability of that phone is EXYNOS, Not SNAPDRAGON. 😞 S24 ULTRA SNAPDRAGON but that was too expensive. 😭
This year the difference between the exynos or the snapdragon variants is not really big, compared to the s22 line-up and the others before that. I can say that if you re taking the s24 plus with exynos you're not really losing anything, especially that the battery on s24 plus is absolutely awsome.

It depends on the user, if you travel alot and where there is no cell coverage, you can use Apple's sattelite feature to connect to a sattelite in an emergency situation.
it is not about the 60Hz or 120Hz, the animations are just choppy on samsung, I have S23 Ultra and its animations suck... my 14Pro is extremely smooth. iPhones focus a lot on fluid animations. and it shows. samsung just needs to fix the animations and it can beat apple.
One ui 6.1 has different animations than one ui 6.0. Also, you're able to control your animation scales. I have the s23+ and s24+ and it's different, but the s23 is still smooth.

the exynos is pretty much on par(it's a tiny bit better in gpu performance) but a bit behind in battery life it's pretty much the same performance i wouldn't worry about it

why are you testing the speed of a calculator and other small apps that will be pre loaded into memory of devices. you need to test non native apps only
Even if you compare the S24+ with an iPhone 15 Pro Max, the S24+ is still the better phone... The S24 Ultra has no competition at all... And Geekbench 6 is a Apple application.. Geekbench always exaggerates the CPU scores of the Apple chips..
I have been using samsung from a long time..i dont know why but after a year their phones starts lagging on everything. I am using Samsung S22 plus right now since 2022 and it just gets stuck when needed the most kind of situation. I cant say much about iphone never used it but this is very bad of Samsung..just high price phones should last longer.
Samsung got rid of background blur that was present in One UI 6.0 when using gesture nagivation 6.1 on gesture nagivation now does not have any background blur for the app opening/closing animation where as iOS had it and still has it and still will. I dont know why Samsung got rid of that. Blur gives depth effect, without blur the animations dont look as premium. The wallpaper zooming out animation duration is increased heavily in 6.1 and it now almost matches iOS in that sector but they removed the background blur in that process. (Note: the background blur is present when using buttons navigation but the wallpaper zooming out animaton is too short in that mode, its so short that it feels non existent) Samsung, balance things out man. Refine the animations, polish it. Lets see what first software update on S24 series does ! (They still havent pushed first software update, the phone is basically on a software which it was launched on and Samsung is known to improve their device via software updates so yea lets wait and see)
Even if S24+ is faster and more smooth i prefer iOS and the user experience and apps better aesthetically designed to work with iPhones... i had both android and iphone... (iPhone 4, Samsung S7, Oppo Reno Z)... But at the end comes down to P E R S O N A L preference.
Uhm no. The s24+ has more ram, more storage, and QHD. That, along with 7 years of updates, makes it actually worth the upgrade. Not even including AI, the s23+ to 24+ is the only noticeable upgrade between the two series.

Screen on iPhone really look a lot better than samsung this year. This year samsung seems lower their cost of the screen. My problem with s24 plus this year is screen look wash out and a lot of glare
why don't you compare apps that require more power, calculator and weather app can't show pure performance, try few apps that pushes hardware to limits, like comparing fps in popular games on ultra settings, or 4k video render. these speed test is not legit anymore, calculator speed doesn't bother 95% of people who buy these powerful devices.

And I think that's especially true this year since the 24 plus battery now increased. @sergiucodina196 The battery life on my s24+ is insane. I've gotten 14 hrs total and 8 1/2 hrs SOT with heavy usage and max settings before. You can easily cruise through the day with this thing.

For 4 to 5 years not sure if Samsung perform the same as new. I am using S22 plus since 2022 and now I have need to change as it lags in day to day work for me. I am a normal user never use phone for games. Just my office apps and google map. It get really slow and hangs after 2 years.

The S24+ screen looks bluish. iPhone 15+ with 2GB more of RAM and 120Hz would have been almost perfect.

Even if S24+ is faster and more smooth i prefer iOS and the user experience and apps better aesthetically designed to work with iPhones... i had both android and iphone... (iPhone 4, Samsung S7, Oppo Reno Z)... But at the end comes down to P E R S O N A L preference.

Uhm no. The s24+ has more ram, more storage, and QHD. That, along with 7 years of updates, makes it actually worth the upgrade. Not even including AI, the s23+ to 24+ is the only noticeable upgrade between the two series.

iPhone 15 plus has a chip that more than an year old yet it’s still competitive, the only thing he needs is about one gig of ram more and 120 hrz

Screen on iPhone really look a lot better than samsung this year. This year samsung seems lower their cost of the screen. My problem with s24 plus this year is screen look wash out and a lot of glare
why don't you compare apps that require more power, calculator and weather app can't show pure performance, try few apps that pushes hardware to limits, like comparing fps in popular games on ultra settings, or 4k video render. these speed test is not legit anymore, calculator speed doesn't bother 95% of people who buy these powerful devices.

And I think that's especially true this year since the 24 plus battery now increased. Yeah, I know now it's a 2k display but I don't really think it's going to impact it very much, because the battery is bigger

@sergiucodina196 The battery life on my s24+ is insane. I've gotten 14 hrs total and 8 1/2 hrs SOT with heavy usage and max settings before. You can easily cruise through the day with this thing.

For 4 to 5 years not sure if Samsung perform the same as new. I am using S22 plus since 2022 and now I have need to change as it lags in day to day work for me. I am a normal user never use phone for games. Just my office apps and google map. It get really slow and hangs after 2 years.
