Hi, with tests on paper strips you may only get alcohol and a few top notes, the mid and base notes prob won't emerge until skin testing, and then it'll change during the day as you wear it. Though it may be why the vanilla you liked best was the one you actually tried on, and could indicate the others will turn out nicer with wear too. This was interesting, I hope you do a follow-up when you've tested them, it's cool how different scents are on different people.
