I saw this before even getting a notification haha. I just got home from my baby's GRADE 8 GRADUATION! He got the Drama award. SO PROUD!

I love you bouquet flower painting! And the cat first looked like your cartoon style and you turned it into a realistic looking cat. I love your more sketchy nonperfect style because it takes your eye on a journey through your art piece.

When I was in school as a kid/teen, I used to draw full art pieces in the margins of my homework and class notes. One of my teachers told me if I stopped doing that, I'd be a perfect 4.0 student. So I decided to start adding colour out of pettiness...lol. I had a 3.0+ grade point average, I was fine with my GPA, it was above average so yeah...lol. But seriously, me drawing in the margins of my notes and homework made it a bit easier to remember some of the information I was supposed to learn, so I always did that. Even in college I kept up with it. One college instructor, he would draw responses to my comics I drew in his class for my homework...lol.
I love the cat. He's so cute. I love the blue tone under him.
I love painting frogs. I am currently working on a series of frogs doing human things-golf, meditation, cooking, etc. have a bunch of ideas for frogs in famous works of art (the scream, mona Lisa, etc). You do such cute stuff ❤

I’m a catperson for pets, but my all time favorite animal is the elephant. I think they are humans in animal form. Such incredible creatures.

I have a garden too ❤ and I have been painting radishes and carrots for an upcoming art festival.

Lovely paintings, especially the bouquet and the cat painting. (My 21 year old cat passed away yesterday so anything cat themed is a bit emotional for me.) I love the idea of merging different interests. Right now my paintings are influenced by my love of old films and anything vintage.
I can't just pick one favorite animal, but dogs and cats are the top of the list. I also love elephants for their empathy, intelligence and adorableness.

The cat painting is deffinitly my favorite! It's soo cool! I think especially because I have a white cat. And I love when art styles are combined. (I really dislike living in Europe now, because I would deffinitpy want a print of that one 🥺)
My favorite animal is the sloth. There are so many fun little facts about them. Also my family used to call me a sloth because they thought I was that lazy 😂
I always find it so surprising you do the background last, it feels so overly complicated. But I do like how you sometimes leave the edges open so the underlayer shines through. ❤

OOOOH! I am making a whole series with the concept of your first painting. For 2022's inktober (I never posted the ink sketches because I love the challenge but don't support the creator) I did every piece as a sketch with a few of my coloured pens. I loved the pieces so much I decided to turn a bunch of them into paintings. I then decided to put the subject of the painting in the foreground and silhouettes or bokkeh or just blurry versions of the subject's favorite thing. I then built up a new foreground with toilet paper mache, and used paint, or cut out watercolour pieces to give the piece a 3d effect effectively moving the subject to the mid-ground, and having a new foreground.
The latest is covered in massive hydrangea flower bunches!
What did the inktober creator do?
@@arugni he plagarized another creator's book. The way he did so can be considered racist and although I am on the side that agrees, I don't want to fight over it. I don't remember the other creator's full name off the top of my head (I don't remember either of their names at the moment, but if you look up "Alphonso ink tutorial" you'll likely find him. His stuff is great and so much of his stuff was copied nearly word for word and definitely lesson for lesson in inktober dude's book... Jake... something I think. My memory sucks haha.

My favourite animal is a giraffe, has been since I was little, I love your giraffe painting so much, wish I could buy the original, might just have to try painting my own giraffe or making (my regular medium is anything within the realms of textiles)

My animal I think I would pick would be a dolphin and then I thought when you said animals and places they don't normally go to I thought how cool would a dolphin look in a field of flowers ....very cool.... You have given good tips on how to approach different I just love your channel well and you it wouldn't be the same without you 😊

Thanks Dear love your inspiration is what I feel to painting and not worrying about the out come or comparing is so the best and enjoy the process. I have been painting since I was very young and every time I paint I learn something ,and have surprising outcomes. that most time had no idea what or how it would come out. I love to be able to paint and feel free to try new things and different mediums being self taught is how I learned and keep learning by trying things and just paint because I love to paint and it feels amazing for my soul. love your work 💖
I have had "Peaches" by The Presidents of the United States of America stuck in my head for two weeks, and it is staying right where it is for the time being. 😊 I like the peaches painting!
When I see a blank canvas I get so excited I start thinking about so many possibilities and so many things comes to my head that I get overwhelmed but that's because I have adhd and but breathing help 😃

You could make bouquets inspired by different styles, like gothic, boho, Victorian etc
Very helpful tips and inspiration! My “made-up” art is often the most interesting! It’s abstract, (representational and non-representational,) sometimes close to the real thing, sometimes a collection of designs that please me. Thanks Mira!

My favorite animal is a cat or a dolphin! I am so scared to try to paint an animal because I am not so good at using reference pictures and sketching. But I will try one day when I am brave!
First! I’m excited!
You probably already know this, but I’ll say it just in case, the fluorescent colors used are unlikely to be lightfast so you need to remind buyers of this if you sell the original. Because those pink/orange sides will likely disappear if hung in direct sunlight. They need to be hung in the shade or possibly be given a UV resistant top coat.
This vid was super helpful, having just gone back to my art and not being the most confident of people :) That last painting, now thats my comfort zone right there, self confessed crazy cat lady right here :)
A slight question, how easy is it to mix paint types, i usually use watercolor's, but can i add gouache or acrylics to the same painting without making a huge mess?
