I’m a little bit confused with the measurements, a lot of the amounts said in description don’t match with the amounts used in the video. For example, in the description it says 2tbsp of tomato paste but in the video it’s a lot more than just 2 tbsp. And also it says 1 tsp of each of the herbs but that looks more than just one tsp. I’m going to make this recipe for my bf and I don’t want to mess it up. Please help😅

Yum! Your jollof rice looks delicious sister, normaly I don't like nutmeg in my rice I only use it to season the meat. I do use a couple of cloves maybe 3-5 for in the sauce. I have to make it your way with the parchment ❤

This your jollof recipe is great... now I've been making jollof for fun, it turns out right, and I no longer need to bother about how much water to add...thank you.
I'm still learning how to cook Jollof rice well and this is the first recipe to have worked well for me, thank you. Unfortunately, the bottom was burning too much so I got worried and added water but that just made it sticky 😩 Maybe I didn't use enough oil. But it was still very tasty and looked good 😊
Tip: Once there's no water on top of the rice lower the heat. Jollof burns really quick and you will be tempted to add more water than necessary but don't. Cook it on very low heat, cover with parchment paper and give it time
@@saka543 she added little or no water probably cos she washed the rice many times. Washing rice till the water is crystal clear makes your rice cook faster and makes it very soft/sticky. Either wash it till the water is crystal clear and add little or no water or wash it just once and add more water

How long do you leave the rice with the baking paper for? Left mine for 10 mins but still wasn’t ready…😢

Hi, I've followed your jollof recipe a year ago and I forget how much rice I used. You say in the video to use 1.5 cups of rice but the ingredients lists 1.5kg (= 6.3 cups) . It looks like you used 6 cups of rice in the video as well. I love your recipe and I just want scale it down accurately. What is the correct amount of rice?

Only part i didn‘t fully understand was, why you used the paper at the end ?
Covering it with baking paper will steam the rice which helps cook the rice faster ❤️

I'm still learning how to cook Jollof rice well and this is the first recipe to have worked well for me, thank you. Unfortunately, the bottom was burning too much so I got worried and added water but that just made it sticky 😩 Maybe I didn't use enough oil. But it was still very tasty and looked good 😊
Most people add water. I guess her trick was the tomatoes and parchment paper to build and keep the moisture.
Tip: Once there's no water on top of the rice lower the heat. Jollof burns really quick and you will be tempted to add more water than necessary but don't. Cook it on very low heat, cover with parchment paper and give it time
@@saka543 she added little or no water probably cos she washed the rice many times. Washing rice till the water is crystal clear makes your rice cook faster and makes it very soft/sticky. Either wash it till the water is crystal clear and add little or no water or wash it just once and add more water
