Crimes and Misdemeanors is one of the great movies of the 80s. I was 22 when it came out and I feel like it taught me what the world is really like. It saved me decades of fantasy thinking.
I want to thank you for uploading this video. It's been a rough stretch for me lately and watching these two men talk about a subject that they both so obviously love and are passionate about has made me smile for the first time in days. It really is a pleasure to see people doing something they love to do, if only more people were that fortunate the world would be a much better place.
hey, man. I think a lot of us have had a rough stretch lately. I had a trio of losses to the family. this culture is, seemingly, a wreck. but I hope things are a bit better for you. there are for me. we'll all get there, man. someday.
Really loved watch this show back when it was on. I remember seeing The Fabulous Baker Boys in 89' , really such a great film. Also really enjoyed seeing the tribute to the late great Betty Davis. Just watched "Now Voyager" this past week. She was truly a wonderfully talented actress.
A very solid week in movies. Crimes and Misdemeanors is when Woody Allen peaked as a filmaker. He made a couple of good ones later, but never again a great one. It would be interesting what the public would think of him if his better films were more contemporary. Nice that they gave Burt Reynolds a good review. Burt Reynold's acting wasn't really the problem it was the films he was in. This one was definitely watcheable, surprised they gave it a thumbs up though.
I love Burt Reynolds. Ever since I saw Deliverance and he saves the guys in the woods with his bow and arrow. Every time i see him its like the hero has arrived. I like his swagger
Bette Davis was very good or excellent in every movie I ever saw her in, even if the movie wasn't. She was a real star in the acting sense of the word.
My reviews The Fabulous Baker Boys (two enthusiastic thumbs up; one of 89s best) 👍👍 Breaking In (two thumbs up)👍 Crimes and Misdemeanors (two enthusiastic thumbs up; one of 89s best)👍👍 Look Who's Talking (two thumbs up) 👍
except for Husbands & Wives, Shadows & Fog, Deconstructing Harry, Match Point, Midnight in Paris. I think Crimes & Misdemeanors was better than those, but they are all good.
Crimes and Misdemeanors may be Woody Allen's best movie. However, the scene with his sister describing a man who did something awful during sex was gratuitous and unnecessary, not to mention sexist.
My reviews: out of 5 1 " The Fabulous Baker Boys " 3 out of 5 👍 2 " Breaking In " 3 out of 5 👍 3 " Crimes and Misdemeanors " 3 out of 5 👍 4 " Look Who's Talking " 3 out of 5 👍

"The Little Foxes" was one of her finest movies / performances. Mrs. Davis' legacy will be forever remembered.
I'm glad they both like & agree all 4 films because that means these are worth seeing. 👍👍

Great quality upload, thank you!!
When your kids ask “Where to baby come from” ? put on “Looking who talk”
C+M caused a stir with the dialogue
Look Who's Talking was a good movie!
Michelle Pfeiffer was drop dead gorgeous in The Fabulous Baker Boys.
One of the most beautiful females to ever walk the earth.
It was a great movie too. I watch it every year.
Great stuff on Bette Davis. I was born in 85 and didn’t know much about her or her career other than all about Eve

5:42 @#$&ing Siskel! Beau got to be in Rocketman...
...with Harland Williams!
I like Look Who's Talking. It's a cute movie.
The funniest moments in the film were where Kirstie Alley imagines what it would be like to marry the different schmucks she is dating.
Bette Davis one movie comes to mind moving target with boegie.
The Great Thumb meridian!
10:30, Mia Farrow describes George W. Bush.
Crimes & Misdemeanors was the last good movie Woody Allen made.
The last good movie he starred in. His last good thing in general was 'Midnight In Paris'
@@linkbiff1054 Not that great of a film.
@@linkbiff1054 it was ok

@@adamgordon6435 All those had problems. Not terrible, but like I said the last good film he made was Crimes, per his standards.
