I like RPGs too, but I have to be in the right mood to start one. I keep telling myself I'm gonna complete the first Final Fantasy, and then I keep falling out of it by the time I get to the cave with the earth crystal in it.
I think I've seen Hill Climb Racing over the holiday. My brother-in-law was playing a game on his smart phone that could only be described as hill climb racing. I prefer strategy and rpg but do like a good puzzler.
I've been having fun with a few arcade-type games myself lately. Discovered a couple gems in Hill Climb Racing and Tiny Wings. Have you ever played Super Crate Box? It's free!
Lol, yeah I always got screwed at the Marsh Cave. Plus, I hated having to fighting Ogres in order to get the Silver Sword to pass it. You should watch a speed run on Speed Demos Archive. The player just cruises through it although it was multiple segments, I believe. Speed runs make games look like they're for toddlers. My favorite is Morrowwind in five minutes.
Yeah, I'm the stubborn grinding type, except I absolutely hate grinding. I've fallen asleep grinding before, lol. I've seen that Morrowind speedrun, it's uncanny. I will eventually watch the Final Fantasy speedrun, but I've always wanted to beat the game myself first.

I used to play this one for hours. Too bad the new NES Classic doesn't have this game, bummer.
