It's possible that the proximity unlock feature is not enabled on your remote start/alarm control module. You will need your installer to activate this feature.
Does anyone know if this R5 Model can also be programmed for Auto ARM, not just unlock? Very easy to just walk away and assume it would lock just like it unlocked when walking up.
Yes. I have the R5 and had the same question. The installer assured me it would do both lock/arm and unlock/disarm by proximity. Mine does lock and arm the vehicle after I walk away, about 10 feet or so, and after about 30 seconds.
@@Chbucha thanks for replying! I ended up bringing mine back to the installer who told me they needed to reprogram the brain to turn the auto arm capability on - and they did it. For $150!
Greetings, I own an 1995 Civic Coupe, it runs on a manual transmission, I've checked it's compatibility out via yer official site, it got me "Pro R5" according to my selection of preferred remote's style, The features I'm seeking for are "Arming, Disarming and proximity unlocking along with Car tracking". So, I'm wondering Do I have to grab extra products from "Brains Controllers" to Harnesses for it to actually function or Are they included within it's box? And if you could hook me up with the exact cost of the whole kit, I'd be appreciated. sorely!
Hi Amru, Great questions. Here are some of the products you'll need. 1. Brain/Controller - Probably the FT-CMX-HC. 2. Security Module - DAS-II - This is required for manual-transmissiion 3. PRO R5 remote kit, which will add the proximity unlock function. I don't think you need a bypass module, since your car probably doesn't have transponder. If you do, you'll need a BLADE-AL as well.
@@khangngo7480Yes, it does proximity lock too. However, sometimes during proximity unlock it will disarm the CS unit, but will not physically unlock the doors. This is a known bug with the CS system. Works most of the time though.
Does both proximity lock and unlock. I'm using it this way. However, the proximity unlock doesn't always unlock the doors on my RAM 1500 even though the lights flash and remote acknowledges the unlock. Dealer checked with Compustar and it's a software glitch.

I pressed once and held down the button to access the menu on the remote to turn on proximity unlock and the "Red Lock" symbol keeps flashing and then when I press once to try and change it, it flashes red really fast the chirps 3 times and exits menu. Also is it all remote based programming or is there something that needs to be turned on in the options of my CM7200

No trunk release?
R5 does not support trunk release. You'll have to get one of our 4-button or T13 remotes for that function.

I would not recommend this product for suvs why No Trunk release options if the app dont wrk your out of luck
If you want trunk release, we have many other products.
I have that system, how do I silence it?
If you go into the remote settings (double tap start button), you can scroll to the remote volume. You can also mute your siren from this menu.
