I am in the wine field. Non-interventionist wine is not highly regarded. It is inconsistent and highly likely to suffer from bacterial spoilage and therefore taste absolutely horrific. Georgian wine is cool, though. Most if it is actually made in the normal, modern way -and can be exceptionally good. All winemaking grapes (vitis vinifera) and all winemaking/brewing yeast (saccharomyces cereviciae) originated from there, on the south-facing slopes of the Caucus Mountains. I have worked with some incredible ancient Georgian grape varieties, they taste like nothing else.
@@sauleeYT I saw that, loved the babushkas!!!!! ❤️❤️ I would drink wine made from ancient Georgian grape varieties with them all day long. The winemaking explanation was exactly the same as that of most home winemakers, but definitely the Georgians are to be credited with the vast majority of the early development of the process!
A few years ago, I was repairing a giant hopper at a cement factory, where they would pour raw material, sort it by size, and load them into trucks to be taken to wherever. The crane we had to get stuff up to didn't go high enough, so I had to collect a ladder from a cherry picker, and climb up the ladder with it. I needed the ladder because the door inside the hopper was considered a health and safety risk, ironically, so we needed it to get in legally. The ledge into the top had no railing, it had bust away. At any rate, I would have to prop the ladder against the opening, climb in, reach over and pull the ladder in with me. When I was finished for the day, we had to clear everything out, and do it again the next day. On the final day of repair, my boss decided to help me clean up, and yanked the ladder hard as he could out of the hopper. It hit me in the chest, I stumbled back, and felt absolutely fucking nothing under my right foot, with no guard behind me, God knows how high up. I bent my left knee, and very slowly rocked forwards with my arms out to my side like a tightrope act. I promised myself, if I ever find myself in the air again like that, I'm going alone. I wouldn't climb that fuckin' crane holding a camera, at any rate.

Hi Mr Bald, the past few weeks I started watching your videos. At first I was hesitant and was not sure If I was going to like them. Im from Norway. That road actually reminded me of many many of hmthe roads we have here :) so yeah Harold is right. The only decent roads are the highways and a lot of the roads in largers cities like Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen, Trondheim etc
I'm a bit late, but yes as a rural West coast Norwegian I can testify that our roads are complete crap. Not only are they full of pot holes, but they're also narrow and curvy around mountain sides. I honestly think we have the worst roads in Europe, something you would probably see in the himalayas. It's always baffled me since we have all the resources we need for asphalt... Driving on these roads in the winter is also a death sentence, lots of people have lost their lives slidding on these narrow roads into fjord and drowned. My uncle slammed into a mountainside in his truck, and my grandmother drowned. Nasty nasty roads.
Yeah same in rural sweden. Potholes everywhere and the roads are curvy as shit. Also the crazy locals force you to almost drive into the ditch so they can speed past you at 70km/h on a narrow ass dirt road.

All winemaking grapes (vitis vinifera) and all winemaking/brewing yeast (saccharomyces cereviciae) originated from there, on the south-facing slopes of the Caucus Mountains. I have worked with some incredible ancient Georgian grape varieties, they taste like nothing else.
Bald has a video with a few babushkas explaining the Georgian wine making process 😀
@@sauleeYT I saw that, loved the babushkas!!!!! ❤️❤️ I would drink wine made from ancient Georgian grape varieties with them all day long.
The winemaking explanation was exactly the same as that of most home winemakers, but definitely the Georgians are to be credited with the vast majority of the early development of the process!
wow thankyou for this info.
I'm glad you're alive to tell the story. What kind of f*ckin boss?...

He didnt try to grab you? To pull you back.

Huge respect for that crane climb! I was getting nervous sitting on my sofa watching you go up.
Mr Bald, Get well soon! We miss seeing your face in all the interesting places you take us. You make me laugh and we all need more of that in our lives.
this channel has made me want to visit eastern europe. When I was a boy, I spent a year in Poland and loves it - UKRAINE NEXT!!
The people running that Georgian restaurant were so friendly!
yes, so lovely people
Overall Georgians are friendly. I can confirm it because I was there last year and will travel next month again.
Hey bald and Harald are back together...good to see Harald after a long time
You haven't watched Harald's channel? It's great! I'm subbed to both
Hi Mr Bald, the past few weeks I started watching your videos. At first I was hesitant and was not sure If I was going to like them. After the video of you and the older ladies drinking wine they made, I changed my mind. The way you treated them and spoke about the history of the area. I really felt like I had just made the trip myself. You bring comedy along with joy and happiness that is much better than most online videos today. I wish you all the best.
It seems to me that the secret of such a number of Ben's subscribers is his sincerity and goodwill. He is very charismatic, congrats!
i love these guys so much when they go on trips. i wish i had friend like this in my life. this really cheers me up! thanks guy, much love from canada!
Omg the 2 legends back together. My dream has literally came true.
Sam S what did Harold actually do?
Sam S What are you even talking about? Harald hasnt ”fucked up”. The only ones who fucked up are the snowflakes that gets offended by a simple joke.
@@MuhammadIamhardBrucelee What the hell are you on about...
When you're so early that Bald hasn't met any *babushkas* yet
I worked on high rises for 8 yr.'s, and wish to tell you, "No I wouldn't climb that rust bucket."
Watching all your videos makes me feel that people everyone around the world are just as accommodating, genuine and nice, it's just that most of the time we are unable to connect due to language barriers.
Bald thought me that as long as you have a mindset of willing to learn of one's culture, everyone can be your friend!
Two legends back together nice one Harold and Mr bald And bankrupt🇬🇧👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Im from Norway. That road actually reminded me of many many of hmthe roads we have here :) so yeah Harold is right. The only decent roads are the highways and a lot of the roads in largers cities like Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen, Trondheim etc
i was visiting Norway multiple times now and I was driving around a lot and not only bigger cities, but the streets were always nice ^^
@Based Log Seriously, I live in NY and the roads are much better than those roads in the video.
Canada too. The cold heaves the ground around,
Yeah same in rural sweden. Potholes everywhere and the roads are curvy as shit. Also the crazy locals force you to almost drive into the ditch so they can speed past you at 70km/h on a narrow ass dirt road.
ohmygod... just watching this spiked my anxiety. Good on you for making it up, i don't think i would have made it back down. :)
“I’m like Hilary and you’re Sherpa Tenzing.... he knows nothing about politics “ ha ha ha just made me spit my tea out 😂

I’m really so happy to see you back with Harald. Been watching both of you for a very long time and I really love watching you two travel together. Thank you!! First time commenting
Probably the most triggering thing I’ve ever seen regarding a fear of heights and watching someone climbing rickety ladders one handed.
I didn't have a fear of heights until I watched this video.
The other video where he and alina climb on that rusted roof scared me more it was very dangerous. This thing was fairly sturdy.
Bald: I’m here with my friend Harold from Germany.
Harold: Gutemorgen!
That sounded really funny for a Norwegian Viking!
I’m so glad Harald is alive, was starting to worry!
Guess Balds girlfriend is funny hook him up with a friend of hers. That’s my guess. 😏

Some of the roads here in Norway are indeed bad, but that Ukrainan road was next-level bad...
They are bad even from the Russian perspective.
@@olivier6840 Yes the main roads are good close to Tromsø, but that`s just there, as soon as you go less then 50 km outside the "capital of the north" the story is much different. Where I live on the border to finnmark the side roads are verry much sovjet style and the main roads are pretty crappy too, my vw golf 4 is not made for this kinda abuse....
pretty much same in the south of norway aswell , main roads good , out on the country side holy hell its a slalom , seems they only repair them every 30 years or so
On a road quality index from 2018. Ukraine is on place 125 from 140. Zimbabwe is ranked place 124 and many other poor african countries are ranked higher aswell. On this index Norway is ranked place 48. which isn't that high considering that Norway is such a wealthy country. On place 1 is Switzerland followed by Singapor and the Netherlands.
You have to understand that Ukraine is the poorest European country by GDP per capita especially since the Euromaidan coup in 2014.
i think they drift tanks on that road holy shit!
Missed you two vlogging together! Welcome back to Ukraine guys! 🇺🇦👊
