Chicago, Chicago, Chicago!
Chicago
It was Chicago 1945
Cubs lost that year, but Al Capone was found alive
They searched forty days, in the suburbs of the night
But they found him, alive
Alive
Young Joe DiMaggio hit his first home run
People gathered 'round, basking in the sun
Three girls disappeared, on a cold windy night
Never to be found again, never to be found again, so
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
You can't hide the truth, so won't you turn on the light?
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
Never to be found again, never to be found again
Found again, never to be found again
Found again (Found again)
It was so windy, joy had to be in the air (Hee hee)
People gather 'round to see the world's fair
It was so happy, but sad in the truth
So much is goin' on
They didn't know the girls were missing, missing
You can't choose what they say, and nobody can (Hee hee)
Because undercover of the Chicago Tribune, feature the world's fair
They didn't bother, you know it is the truth (Hoo hoo)
Never to be found again, never to be found again, so
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
You can't hide the truth, so won't you turn on the light?
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
Never to be found again, never to be found again
Be found again, never to be found again
Found again (Found again, hoo hoo!)
Never to be found again (Hoo hoo, Found again)
You can't hide anything (Hee hee, found again)
Chicago, we love you! (Hee hee, found again)
You can't find anything (Found again)
Chicago, ooh-ooh, baby (Found again)
Chicago, chicago (Found again)
Chicago, chicago
It was Chicago 1945, Cubs lost that year
But Al Capone was found alive
Searched forty days, in the suburbs of the night
So much was goin' on
They didn't know the girls were missing, missing
Can't choose what they say, nobody can
'Cause undercover of the Chicago Tribune
Feature the world's fair
They didn't bother, though it is the scene (Hoo hoo)
Never to be found again, never to be found again, so (Hoo hoo, hee hee)
(Tell me)
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Tell me)
You can't hide the truth, so won't you turn on the light?
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Tell me)
Turn on the light (You can't hide the truth, oh no)
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Tell me)
You can't hide the truth, but won't you turn on the light?
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
You can't hide the truth, we'll make you turn on the light
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Tell me, ooh-ooh)
Turn on the light (Hoo hoo, hee hee)
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Chicago! You didn't find anything)
Turn on the light
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
You can't hide the truth, we'll make you turn on the light
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
Turn on the light (You didn't find anything, didn't find anything!)
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night?
You can't hide the truth, we'll make you turn on the light
Who solved that mystery late Chicago night? (Hee hee, hee hee)

Beyond amazing! Michael is the genius of geniuses ❤️🙏👑🤟🦋🌻
😊😊😊
Thank you!!!🙏🏻
What's so amazing to me is that Michael and his brothers were so successful at such a young age. They also supported him when he went solo. Don't think for one minute that's not the Jackson 5 singing background on "off the wall and thriller albums" listen!
I think we will have unreleased songs from MJ till 2050, man produced a lotttttttt, im in tears
Prince and Michael had enough unpublished material to release an album a year for 100 years
@@darthcaliginous2066 that's not true... there are not many songs left to release.... but for one posthumous album will be enough. in general, we have about 10 songs, that can be released without big problems... other songs are mostly unfinished or have problems with rights....
@@richard6932 how if for each album Michael himself said he’d make and write over a 100 songs before 30 out of those then 12-15 out of those songs ideas for 1 album, Michael wrote, recorded and beatboxed so many songs, Latoya found a hard drive with over 100 songs on it and its been said Michael had so many drives and tapes of songs, you think from 1980-2009 Michael only has a few songs left unreleased? Wtf are you smoking? The guy was raised on a stage watching the greatest in motown create songs Michael was a song writing Genius, majority of the Bad album was written by Michael Jackson, 9-11 songs. Michael released albums every 3 years but in that interval created and experimented with some of the most genre defying music, some leaked online but not the entire vault.
@@darthcaliginous2066 Writing songs doesn't mean you have recorded a lead or even a scratch take. Most of the stuff that are labeled "demo" in the vault only have choruses recorded.
@@ahleeyahvideos I know, but even Michaels unfinished work is way better than music out today. Michaels engineers and producers are still alive, if they can at least work on what they were working on with MJ they can polish em up. I dont expect finished songs now that hes gone but seeing his creative process is an even greater service to Music as a whole
I've done some research, and it says that Michael Jackson has 500+ more unreleased tracks. Wow Michael was a great singer and songwriter and dancer. Rest in peace (August 29th 1958 - June 25th 2009)
Man this sound sounds perfect, wonder why didn’t see the light of day in the Thriller album
It was recorded right after was the main issue

HOLY SHIT!!!! THIS SONG IS STUPIDLY INCREDIBLE!!!! LIKE HOLY SHIT!!!!!
just discovered this gem today and omg this is such a bop. i'll probably listen to this hundreds of times for the next few days
I just found it too lol
Sven is the king at enhancing music, one of my biggest inspirations for my channel 🙏
Bro, he didn't enhance the song, this is the 2nd mastered version of the song by Sundberg and Porcaro...
@@ThisIsMathu I know that it's the official studio version from the whole leak situation, I'm saying that he slightly enhances the audio; assuming that because of the title.
@@SirListens The audio quality IS enhanced, it sound on-par with the official HQ audio uploads from the official Michael Jackson YT channel, and better than most fan uploads of the song. The main issue with most uploads of Chicago 1945 (Atleast that I remember) is that the vocals sound low-quality. Sven always uploads songs with high-quality audio, both instrumental and vocals , and this is no exception. [btw love your stuff too, nice seeing you here]
@@MoonwalkDelta27 Thank you for agreeing, and thanks for supporting my stuff as well 🙏
He didn't enhance anything lmao this is leaked
This could fit perfectly in Bad. Great stuff. It could've been released as a B-side or something. It's amazing.
This instead of just good friends or speed demon
NO ..... I love Speed Damon very much!
@@hugge8111I also love just good friends
No need to replace the songs that are already on the album. Adding one more would only add up to 12 songs. That's solid. This certainly could've been on "Bad".

If Chicago 1945 was a show, I would definitely watch ❤😊

This feels really Back To The Future-y
It does sound a bit like "The Power Of Love" and "Back In Time" by Huey Lewis and the News
Heartbreaking lyrics.
Thematically it's similar to Al Capone/Smooth Criminal. In another world, the 3 songs would be a suite or something.
Would be fantastic suite
This has nothing to do with those 2 songs tho It would be cool if it was
@@KingLarrY4k34 similar vibe, but dude from above forgot to mention Blue Gangsta. it has the same vibe too
@@richard6932something like that
@@KingLarrY4k34yes it all has to do with missing girl, which can be Annie, looking for Al Capone who was part of the crime
This chorus is so nostalgic. Which is weird cuz it’s unreleased.
I KNOW RIGHT? It sounds so familiar and nostalgic, I’m sure I heard this melody in another song . Michael Jackson was ahead of his times
It's a crying shame that he didn't release more albums during the 80s.
I decided not to listen to unreleased songs but I couldn't stop myself, this song is beyond amazing! 🔥 no words to even describe, thank you so much Sven 🙏 the quality is amazing! One of the best masterpieces Michael ever did , incomparable!!! ❤️🙏🤟👑🦋🌻

@@OFFICIALFUNUSBANDwhat the hell do you mean seek help? Quit with the bullshit
Steve Porcaro said this was worked around 84 during the Victory Tour, so in reality was't in 82
Recorded in 82, reworked in 84, 86 and 98
The vocals were likely recorded a few years before the instruments on this version.
It was recorded in December 1982 supposedly and was expected to be on the Jacksons' Victory Tour album in 1984. Unfortunately it never did.
This is the original Steve Pocaro produced mix finished in 1983 and the only version he will approve for release. The vocals were recorded in December 1982 in nine straight takes.
Either way, this song was first originated in the Thriller Era, then came Al Capone, and finally Smooth Criminal.
Wow I just discovered this song and already love it
loving this song with all my heart
This song is just great! ❤
It would have been an epic release! Nevertheless, I understand he had to cut so many ideas as albums can only contain so many songs. THIS IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!
I could avoid listening to you to think I have life. And one day, you are back, and my life still breathing
ok someone explain how i’m just hearing this song now
this is a masterpiece omg
3:15 takes me to HEAVEN
Unreleased, i think someone recorded it on their phone at the In the studio seminar or it was from Brad Suns stolen laptop
The best king 🩵💫🔥
This song is really great.
The track should be on thr40.
Thanks.
Malheureusement il y a eu des embrouilles entre Porcaro et l'Estate 😢
OMG this is gold!!!!!!
How...When? Steve Porcaro made it sound like it would never see the light of day. God bless you!
this was leaked
This could've easily been on a soundtrack and released as a single the same with AL Capone
Could have been the soundtrack to the untouchables.
It can't be a single because it's a demo of smooth criminal, al capone is not a demo it's a song on it's own that's it's released and Chicago 1945 is not
@@Loverboy15469 It could have been but it was unreleased but it could have been finished and easily been on a soundtrack. They are all 3 different songs
You can tell that the vocals were recorded in the Bad Era
No, it was recorded a week after Thriller.
You are right. It was recorded for the BAD album but it didn't made the cut.
Sounds a little earlier to me. I thought for a while that this was Thriller era with an uncharacteristically aggressive approach, but revisiting it again, it sounds like very, very early Bad era to me. Like Al Capone kinda period. But his voice didn't change a whole lot between those albums, mostly his singing style, so it's hard to pinpoint it for sure.
Nah it sounds more thriller
The vocals and synth are definitely post Thriller. This is for Bad era.
Michael Jackson thrad era
When it's in HQ it sounds more thriller than Bad era
it was worked one for thriller but never made it so reworked for bad album then i heard rumours it may have been worked on during invincible
@@nathanheaton2546 Chicago 1945 was never worked on for Thriller. Chicago 1945 was created a week after Thriller was released in December, 1982. Chicago 1945 was reworked many times to be intended for future albums like (1984) Victory, (1986) Bad, (1995) HIStory, and (2000) for Invincible. Chicago 1945 was supposed to be on Xscape but Steve Porcaro refused a remix and preferred the original version to not be tampered with. This was confirmed by Steve Porcaro himself in a seminar last year, and in June 26, 2014
If you hear closely, doesn't have a lot of difference between bad and thriller era.
Just a little more deeper
The vocal is very Thriller era. The overall track (drums, horns, synthesizers) sounds very much like a production from Bad era.
@@captaindeadass4847this vid is the 82 version

Michael Jackson the one and only God Of Groove
OMG I LOVE THIS SONG THIS IS MAGIC
Chicago Nights is the version of Chicago 1945 from Invincible.
I want to hear it sm
HOW WAS THIS NOT RELEASED????
I will never forgive Michael Jackson for not putting this song on one of his studio albums and also not putting “Blood On The Dance Floor” on an album rather than having it on a compilation….
Fr. Mj had material for at least two albums post invincible with the unreleased material we know at this point
Because it's a demo, it was supposed to be smooth criminal, it ended up being a demo, guess mj didn't like it, he changed it to smooth criminal, the story he's telling in Chicago 1945 is the same as in smooth criminal, just different lyrics and sound, the smooth criminal official music video actually represents and tells the story of Chicago in 1945, so this can't be a released track, bcz it was changed.
yall i dont care this screams bad era, the raspy voice and the beat. Its so late 80s mike
That’s exactly what I was thinking when I was listening to it. I think thriller Mike’s voice was a lot lighter and smoother than this.
I actually heard it was supposed to be on the victory album
!adorei mj love
This is worth downloading
Hope Chicago 1945 eventually gets released on cd
This should have been released. This and Carousel and Someone in the Dark. So much wasted material. Thriller could have been a 20 track album.
Sure, but they decided they'd rather have people begging for more than feeling exhausted by the end.
Invincible definitely could've lost a few tracks. HIStory and Dangerous are kinda the same… too much to digest at one time. 😋
@@crnkmnky dangerous had a good amount tho your right about invincible, history was a double disc album so i think that doesn't count
@@KingLarrY4k34 According to Wikipedia, each side of a vinyl LP can hold 23-25 minutes of audio. Compact Discs can hold 74-80 minutes. So _Thriller_ was actually a full-length album (42 minutes) by 1982 standards. 🤯
_Bad_ was 44 minutes on vinyl, with a bonus song ("Leave Me Alone") on CD. Every album after that was designed to max out the length of a CD at 77 minutes, which means the vinyl edition is always a double album. _HIStory_ fits on _three_ vinyl LPs (77 minutes of new songs).
He was the greatest vivid storyteller in music history

observation, this song is not from 82, it started to be made at the end of 83, after the release of Thriller, and by the sound, this version appears to be the version worked on in the Bad sessions
Nope this is the Thriller - Victory Version
@@larrymcdowdell274 it's definitely not Thriller, because it didn't even exist in that period, it could even be the version from the Victory sessions, but I think it's the version from the Bad sessions
@@MJBR_Official Its Thriller Era I Ment. The Victory version Was The One That Got Leaked

This song wasn’t even made for Thriller it was recorded a few days after Thriller. This was originally made for the Victory album by the Jacksons and Reworked for Bad. You can still hear his Thriller voice from the Victory sessions. Sorry about the confusion.
You're wrong it was actually meant for bad not thriller
Mj voz única
♡.
I do not think it is right to call it "Chicago Nights" as the title stands for INVINCIBLE ERA unreleased song, and Chicago 1945 (this audio) is from THRILLER-BAD ERA...
This one is from the thriller ear , the bad re-recorded version is unleaked/unreleased
@@philcanselmo9436no it's from bad era, because it was meant for smooth criminal, it was originally the smooth criminal track, but mj later changed it, why do you think it's called Chicago 1945, the smooth criminal official music video actually represents Chicago in 1945, it's the same story but different sound
wooow
O "embrião" de Smooth Criminal!😊
Now, WHY wasn't this on either THRILLER or BAD?! This sounds great! This could've been a radio classic, 40 years ago. As always, THANK YOU. Again, why in God's name was this not included on Thriller 40, if it was part of that era? It has an absolute MJ/Toto/Rod Temperton vibe about it
This woulda been fire on like a rocky soundtrack or something
There's a lot of bullshit in the comments, so let's clear a few thing up:
This was recorded (along with Dreams Away) a few weeks after Thriller was released. Although, what you hear on this version is NOT how the song was originally composed or structured. The original was a basic instrumental (bass, drum machine and few keyboard lines), while the version in the video has been worked on by Steve Porcarro (who recorded the original with MJ) has been worked on in recent years.
a lot of people assume this is an '85-86 reworked version due to the drums
Great song 🔥 MJ didn't know how to make bad songs !
😍😍
💪 may your soul continue resting in peace king 👑 of pop
People I’m not surprised at hearing unreleased tracks because just from the dangerous album, he had well over at least 100 tracks and had to break it down to the 14 tracks they was on the album and he also gave away the track joy to teddy riley for the first blackstreet album.
I don't see this as a Thriller track.
And this version definitely wasn't done in 82'.
This is the between 84-86. You can tell by his vocals. So yea Victory/pre Bad era.
