- FULL: Jack surely was robbed off gold medal win in common wealth 109kg weightlifting category. He was judged out from the final lift. What a shame..just listen to the judges call. The commentators commented otherwise of the move. Watch the video up to that moment the judge made that call. Surely he was on his way to gold 🥇.. Jack had no problems from the beginning. That call from the review let him down.

true each judge should represent a different country and have participated before with a good record

a lot of things seem unfair in weightlifting but unfortunately he did unlock his elbows, i was really going for him, my Grandson Jackson was lifting in the same competition for Australia, he stuffed up his Snatch and in the Clean and Jerk lifted more than the gold medalist, he lifted 202KG and went for 211KG which would have given him bronze, got it over his head but couldn't hold it. to make matters worse they dropped the 109kg category from the Olympic games this year.
So the guy that lifts 200kg comes 2nd to the guy that lifts 197kg. Well I’m not ever watching a commonwealth games again. Rip commonwealth

The rule is that your elbows have to be completely locked out in the catch overhead and cannot bend. It's a slight movement, and weightlifting judging is often inconsistent. Half the time this is a good lift, half the time this gets called

There were no movements at the final point. He held it at least for about 3.5 seconds if not more so it should be a legitimate lift.

Wait, what is everyone on about? how was he robbed of a gold when the other guy behind him lifted 201kg? which would’ve beat Jacks 200kg anyways?
It goes on total weight of "snatch" and "clean and jerk", so if the lift of 200kg counted, he would have won by three kilos. Instead only his first lift of 194kg counted, so he lost by three kilos. In the "snatch", the winner lifted 160kg and Jack lifted 164kg.
