- Trying out a new update in HOI4 Kaiserreich and it's pretty good. The mod added an expanded focus tree for the warlord state of Shanxi in China and I got a very good game out of it.

I did a game as Shanxi when the update dropped, and it was a lot of fun having to kill the Qing, then Fengtian, then Japan, then the rest of China one after another
Oh nice I did the same. Sadly mine didn’t go quite as well and I ended up surrounded on a mountain line by the capital with Fengtians to my east and Guangzhou to the west😂

around the same time as this run was done, a few months ago, I had a game as left Kuomintang
took me many tries but in the end I won the war of 8 provinces
took over the southern warlords
beat up Qing
beat up Manchuria
and even beat up Japan
took me many hours but it was worth it
I believe it's the hardest country to unite china as (out of the ones that can actually core china)
but shanxi is definitely up there
China is probably the most fun part of Kaiserreich (second only to french commune, since they can start the second welkrieg in 1936)

I don’t know what it is about watching college play this game over other people but he really makes me want to try the game out, not that I ever will of course. Also really like that Mexico finally is the great power it was always meant to be.
I’ll never forgive the team at Kaiserreich for removing the ability to restore the Mongol Empire but at least Kaiserredux you can do it.
