That last 50/60 miles can seem like an eternity in rough weather 60 miles at 4 to 6 knots or so is a long 10+ hours especially yawing back and forth keeping you from that straight direct course hang on capt!

Sounds like a seasoned sailor. I arrived the next day not that night. Lost only one mile south while heaving to.
