This story was also on Nevermind The Buzzcocks Xmas special this year. Noddy was actually of his tits on drugs but obviously he couldn’t say that on WILTY as it is pre watershed.
As an American, I don't understand the "big ears" comment. I recall James Acaster making the same sort of comment to Noddy in one of his stories (the Spice Girls story, I think). Would someone explain what this means to me, please?
There is multiple cartoon children Tv shows based around a kid called Noddy and his adventures with his friends (including Big ears which is the most recognisable). There are also books too for children. If you look up “Make Way for Noddy” that was one of the TV series and the one I grew up with however it isn’t the original series.
Noddy and Big Ears are from a series of children's books written by Enid Blyton between 1949 and 1963. They live in Toyland and there are other characters, but those two are the principle ones and the best known.
He told that story so flawlessly that even though it sounds quite ridiculous it absolutely comes off as true.
Don't you mean "ee aw ee aw" 🤣
This is just great - both Noddy's story and everyone's comments and reactions
A national treasure ❤

How much stuff does one have to do that you have to get out the car to check if it is a real donkey! Brilliant!
Fantastic! I used to listen to early Slade (late 60s) on my way to high school each day. LOL Noddy's changed quite a bit except the Birmingham accent.
Wait... this Noddy is the same Noddy from Slade?! My mind is blown!
he’s not Brummie, he’s a Yam-Yam!
Noddy 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@@Jason-Clark235 Ahhh... thank you so much. Also, from another comment - this Noddy has nothing to do with the children's character.
@@duncandargie1980 thank you so much! Mystery solved!
