The MK2 is honestly really growing on me even just the way it sits an I can’t wait to see it lowered down just a little bit an be a nice little cruiser until you decide to swap it or whatever, thing is a super clean pick up, also the Miley poster is sick 🤙🏼

you can clean the coolant and washer reservoir with peroxide and UV light. look up for retro bright DIY for how to videos. This is commonly done with retro gaming consoles and even Air Jodans clear soles and plastic mesh.
i try to hot water wash my engine bay at least once a year, nothing worse than getting black hands every time i touch something in the engine bay, and especially when it is a diesel. Btw there is a i think Dragon Green mk3 at my local junkyard. that color is super nice looking
Always blip the throttle to turn the battery light off after starting. This turns the alt on. The car will idle forever on battery power and drain the battery.
Grease and grime in an old car like this is a blessing. It preserves all the finished under the hood.

Looks great! I would have gone with a carb and choke cleaner instead of the brake cleaner. Brake cleaner can be bad for rubber and plastics.
