Dave Davies did discover distortion. He got a record from the 1950s called "Rumble" by Link Ray, and as he listened to Link Ray play guitar, Dave "discovered" Link Ray's distortion.

Hi from the UK, I’m loving these stories btw. Please could you produce one about the Robert Johnson story. It would be great if you could, many thanks. Peace and love.

I’m working on a chapter for my upcoming book that features Robert Johnson heavily! I’ll be releasing a video on him in January so stay tuned! ✌🏻❤️

@ Cool! I shall keep an eye out for it. I’m currently trying to find a Gibson L1 Robert Johnson guitar, but not having much luck so far! 🎸

"Hello I love you" is closer to "All day and all of the night" than to "You really got me".

Thanks. The kinks are long time favorite ever since I decided to listen to all the greats from the inception of rock in order. The Kinks do not get near enough credit. Their influence is obvious when you listen to all of rock in order.

The Kinks practically invented Punk Rock and Heavy Metal.
