We create stories as humans story telling is what we do, so when you overlay a story over your trading like "less is more" or such, in one example you suggest trading less see, profitable, but in another month you traded less and lost. Stories for the most part are unhelpful in trading but it's natural. Instead "I had a loss, losses are normal, some months I do trade less and some more, opportunities and good trade executions will occur at any time. Opportunity presents itself at the most unexpected of times." I also do not share my profits openly, I don't like the focus on money, it's meaningless, did I execute my strategy. And I don't have a business surrounding my trading, so nobody would care anyways because I have nothing to sell them lol
90% of traders fail and thats why u gotta understand 90% of the feedbacks are negative and non productive theyre jus here to hate on u because u made it. personally as a trader i wouldnt make my private life known out to public and share my P&L like u did because theres so much hate and people hate to see others win. thats why hats off to u and all the effort u make trying to share on ur yt n podcast. maybe its jus as a chinese ive been always told to keep low when u're doing well and be flashy when u're not. ive seen ur videos for years and i gotta say kuddos to u for working on it and sharing for all these years. and btw i cant find the ramen emoji so here's a smiley for u to brighten up ur day :)
Disagree entirely, there is actually a big lack of transparency, most people are fake traders. They just show a high leverage big position with 600 or a few K profit and then people think it is all real. It is good to see someone be transparent. Who cares anyway what haters think, is not relevant at all and they still make money on views and ads. Imagine a world without haters, and only people that agree to each other, it would be very boring + go downhill fast + zero improvements. And if everyone was a succesful trader, nobody made (much) money. It is a mindfuck anyway because the amount of profit says nothing either without context. If you had 1 million, even with a 0.05% move, you could brag. This is the entire reason most people fail; they want to make day wages or more with accounts of 1-2K dollars and zero experience. Even with experience that is unrealistic obviously. Influencers and brokers jump into that market as they earn on sign-ups, fees, commissions. Social media sucks for traders, we should have the old school Internet again. I'm confident the majority of viewers here are just suckers trying to find some magic tricks, which they won't. Then they watch another 100 videos instead of reading 3 proper books. There is a lot of moneys in social media but to me it is like selling my soul, even i been in IT for over 15 years.
From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

I'm a new trader/investor/hybrid lol!!!!! I must say thank you to your team and yourself for ALL the hard work you'll have put in despite some of the negative comments I've scene here! I started of winning with small scalp trades and toke that confidence and I've taken some losses this week cause as you said I over stayed my welcome because I looked at videos of other traders trading the same stocks and my jaw was dropping looking at what they made compared to me. So I just learnt don't compare we're all different! So keep on your good work and leaving your mark. Always remember money doesn't make your GREAT.......SATISFICATION does!

Shay, I wouldn't let any of these trolls affect your mindset in any way whatsoever.. I know that is probably easier said than done, seeing some of the trash that comes out of peoples mouths and the drama they try to cause, but just know this.. As a veteran trader of about 12 years now, I can honestly say that the knowledge you share to this community is priceless and will work for anyone who applies it over time.. Trading is not for everyone (obviously), and I would say that what you would consider to be your worst year is better than their best 5 years combined.. Most of these haters (wanna-be traders) couldn't trade profitably if their life depended on it and it's more about their jealousy of you than anything else.. I think you are doing an awesome job! I always enjoy watching your content and I know it works because I have used many of these principals for many years myself, profitably.. The very fact that you take your time and share your knowledge speaks volumes, but only to those willing to not only listen, but to also apply it.. Thank you for all that you do! You are appreciated! Wow, respect for being so honest. I didn't make as much as you, about half of what you made, but I just started day trading a year ago. I have very similar winning trade percentage and mostly enter trades where I can keep my losses small. As you,I had a great September until 9/30, having second best month with 35k+ and since then struggling and losing. I made a few hundred today because I started sizing down (I schedule mandatory sessions with my risk manager daily, who is me and is ruthless, can't hide anything from him). I think it's a temporary thing and we need to make some adjustments in choppy waters including unfortunately sizing down and be more selective. I use the smb calculator to calculate expected value and try to go only for B- or better trades now. I used to make money with c trades just fine but no more.
Thank you for your honesty, showing your work. We all feel down when we get a hit on a losing trade, but don't giving up is the best way to success. And I personally suggest to don't put too much of your heart on social media comments, it's a place plenty of cowards throwing their misery to others. I enjoy your trading videos, and hope you keep up.

Hello Shay. I'm from Toronto and I watched many of your videos. I really appreciate your sharing in this particular video. Most of the trading videos on RUclips are just about particular stock or some trading setup. Your video showed me an overview of how should a trader's account, trader's mindset and trader's life look like in a year. It really helps me because I trade on my own and I don't know how other traders' lives are like. My account is a smaller and my percentage gain this year is the biggest since I started trading. I feel that I'm making good progress. I do share some of your experience (losing month, big win, mistakes, trying to revenge, etc). Your video makes me feel that I'm not alone. Let me do a quick calculation here. You have 1.2M subscribers and selling a course for $2,000. If only 1% of your subscribers signed up for your course, you have made $24,000,000 out of that.
It doesn’t work like that really. Don’t act like you know her figures when you can’t possibly know what cost went into development. There are cost to build it that course & years of experience that goes into it. And many, like me (probably you)couldn’t afford it b/c of other obligations, no problem, so I studied Shays free content. First I respect Shay 💯 for putting out a deluge of free educational content that started me in trading… I still remember Shay saying in one video that it takes about 5 years to really learn trading & markets. I thought how can that be, it’s almost 5 years later now for me, and thanks to Shay, & her non paid courses, I can say she was 💯% right. I’m grateful for all she has shared, & don’t understand people who alway want more for free. It takes hard work, and a bigger person to be happy for someone else’s successes. We love your content (including all the bad jokes :) ) Shay and there is no doubt about the authenticity of your work and knowledge that you and your team is providing to the community. As the saying goes "The dogs bark, but the caravan moves on". There will always be people who have negative things to say and we cannot stop them (Maybe block them from the Channel). The only only we can do is to focus on what's in our control i.e. great trading and quality content creation. I was listening to an interview of Russel Peters (the Canadian Comedian) and said the same thing there are always people criticizing him but there are even more people who love coming to his shows so he focuses on them rather than the naysayers.

I like this. I feel the same. I’m just starting. I made 2500 day trading last month but it was exhausting and emotional. I think swing trading is more for me. I don’t care if I will make less. I have too many things to do and I don’t want to leave the trading desk exhausted.

Hi i recently had your program turn up on my feed and have found them very informative and they have helped me to put a lot more time into psychology of why im trading . Im currently slowly moving out of being an only losing trader to boom bust break even , there have been many times i have wanted to quit but my psychology is strenghtening due to your program. Thank you but you need to go back to why you started the channel , remember its for you , your improvement mentally and psychologically . Run a spreadsheet of negative comments versus positive , then do an episode on your findings im sure it will give you a different perspective.

She's not fake, despite her win/lose trade amounts (maybe fake), but she knows what's she's doing.

Hello Shay. I'm from Toronto and I watched many of your videos. I really appreciate your sharing in this particular video. Most of the trading videos on RUclips are just about particular stock or some trading setup. Your video showed me an overview of how should a trader's account, trader's mindset and trader's life look like in a year. It really helps me because I trade on my own and I don't know how other traders' lives are like. My account is a smaller and my percentage gain this year is the biggest since I started trading. I feel that I'm making good progress. I do share some of your experience (losing month, big win, mistakes, trying to revenge, etc). Your video makes me feel that I'm not alone. Big thanks for all the lessons and sharings!!!

Let me do a quick calculation here. You have 1.2M subscribers and selling a course for $2,000. If only 1% of your subscribers signed up for your course, you have made $24,000,000 out of that.
It doesn’t work like that really. Don’t act like you know her figures when you can’t possibly know what cost went into development. There are cost to build it that course & years of experience that goes into it. And many, like me (probably you)couldn’t afford it b/c of other obligations, no problem, so I studied Shays free content. First I respect Shay 💯 for putting out a deluge of free educational content that started me in trading… I still remember Shay saying in one video that it takes about 5 years to really learn trading & markets. I thought how can that be, it’s almost 5 years later now for me, and thanks to Shay, & her non paid courses, I can say she was 💯% right. I’m grateful for all she has shared, & don’t understand people who alway want more for free. It takes hard work, and a bigger person to be happy for someone else’s successes. As the saying goes "The dogs bark, but the caravan moves on". There will always be people who have negative things to say and we cannot stop them (Maybe block them from the Channel). The only only we can do is to focus on what's in our control i.e. great trading and quality content creation.
I was listening to an interview of Russel Peters (the Canadian Comedian) and said the same thing there are always people criticizing him but there are even more people who love coming to his shows so he focuses on them rather than the naysayers.

I like this. I feel the same. I’m just starting. I made 2500 day trading last month but it was exhausting and emotional. I think swing trading is more for me. I don’t care if I will make less. I have too many things to do and I don’t want to leave the trading desk exhausted.

Hi i recently had your program turn up on my feed and have found them very informative and they have helped me to put a lot more time into psychology of why im trading . Im currently slowly moving out of being an only losing trader to boom bust break even , there have been many times i have wanted to quit but my psychology is strenghtening due to your program. Thank you but you need to go back to why you started the channel , remember its for you , your improvement mentally and psychologically . Run a spreadsheet of negative comments versus positive , then do an episode on your findings im sure it will give you a different perspective.
