With all the holiday excitement, I mistakenly released last week’s video in the wrong order. So those who noticed you are not wrong. My bad 😮

eh, counting is hard :)
I really like Matt's style of instructing! ✈💙
Kim, it’s so nice to see the confidence building and you “flying” the airplane… not replaying mechanical steps and movements!!!
Why is it I am hungry for pie now!! dammmm
Lookin good Kim , the pie too! Your looking much more confident. Keep it up.
Thanks for sharing the experience, I think kim did well with the windy conditions
NICE flying Kim! OOOOOh that lemon Marange pie looks soooo good!
Kim thanks for the ride along. You're doing a great job. Pie looked awful good. Enjoy.
In my experience, for short field takeoffs it’s brakes, 10% flaps, full power (smoothly applied), right rudder, left or right aileron. Then fuel flow, temperatures, gear up and check for rate of climb then when established in the climb, flaps incrementally up.
Portsmouth. Pie. Been there a few times back in the day with my FIL. I miss those days.
Excellent landing ❤You are destined to be a great pilot
She’s not learning radio coms. There are a bunch of videos where she’s doing radio calls very well from the right seat. But now she’s learning to do them as PIC in the left seat. She’s got more to think about and process now. 😊
Practice makes perfect - that's all it takes.
Go Kim go! You’re doing excellent. I’ve had F/O’s for the airlines that stumbled on the radio.
Hey SIC...it won't be long now until you are PIC !!! love watching your progress..you'll be great! Moose
She should be writing down a CRAFT procedure to prepare her for instrument training. Kim, you’re doing great. Trying to remember everything needed for flight following, should resemble a IMC flight.
Way to go, Kim! You're so close you can smell that licence.
Or is it the pie?
Good morning from Minnesota!! Great episode!
You are doing great. Capt Ben
Do a grass field landing that would be fun. Hey that's my pie.
😊 You will do fine flying by yourself.
I been flying for a dozen years...just got CFI done...I still like to write down things at times when I got that level of info...or at one of the most buy class D airports I fly out of that has 3 runways KPDK
Way to go Kim
Writing down definitely helps for the more complex calls. The other thing is to rehearse the call prior to pressing the button.
I’d suggest listening to the Opposing Bases podcast, two controllers talk ATC and aviation. One thing they stress is how to request Flight Following (the order of items helps ATC key it in easily).
Yeah, but she’s been flying right seat and doing radios with Kris for a while. It’s the whole, ‘now you’re doing it while YOU’RE flying’ thing!
Multitasking while learning is very demanding on the brain and nearly impossible but sequence tasks and it becomes easier to manage. A great display of a patient and encouraging instructor. Thank you for providing the opportunity to watch the learning process as you continue to combine all your skills.
When selecting an airport. Does the airport have clean bathrooms? Does the airport have a good restaurant? If Yes, Look at Services, runway length, Alternate airport, weather, and so on.
CRAFT works for both IFR and VFR.
I review CIGAR (Controls, Instuments, Gas, Altitude, Radios/Run up) before every flight and write down my CRAFT (Controlled To/Destination, Route, Altitude, Frequency, Transponder) before every flight following request and instrument flight before contacting Departure or Center when expecting any help or instructions.
Out of order out of sequence 😢 but it’s still good and appreciated 😊
Remember, pitch is speed and power is altitude.
Wrap up the training and get your check ride done you earned your ticket.
When are we going to see a release with her flying as co-pilot with you. You accidentally leaked she had completed her training as part of an interview last year.
To really be flying as a copilot she would need her twin engine certification, at least.
$100 pie.....mmmmmm!!!!
Please try KTSO. Best pies in ohio
I this doesn't come off too harsh. Watching Kim learn to fly and struggle the way she does reminds me a lot of the TNFlygirl vides. I sure hope Kim doesn't meet the same results....There is nothing wrong with SIC girl.
I fly for food.
It’s a primary objective in my book😎🍕🌮
Did you two break-up? Why haven't we seen any recent videos lately?
You may be overthinking things a little…
I'm startng to get a little miffed here. Are you playing to the you tube count, the likes or training,? At this point, you know how to fly, you should now know how to navigate and you've been flying with husband pilot for x time so even just in communication, this....I will say again the instructor is not challenging enough or letting you fail and helping you out. Clearly you know how to fly, but are you PIC? I don't see it as you video.
This is what I predict. You'll play this out, get you PPL, and you and your husband will make vids under baronpilot and make $$$, but you, you'll sit right seat all the day long. I busted my ass to get PPL, I paid cash, every damn flight, till I got my PPL...I can't fallow this anymore...god knows you don't care, but this stopped being real. fyi, I got rmy PPL in less real time, it did take 63 hrs.
That’s great! Too bad you’re still an asshole… 🤦♂️
Need to be focused… uhmmm… more work is needed
Comes with time. And those skills don’t come naturally to all pilots. Some have to work at it harder.
I used to really enjoy the videos but I just don't like these student videos, I just don't get excited over it, and with the content having completely changed I'm unfortunately going to unsubscribe.
@leeward971 Baron Pilot Channel is just that, a channel for aviation content. The channel is a mix of content rather than just one dimensional content. We still post Baron videos as well as the occasional Jet video. But we understand the channel isn’t for everyone. Thanks for watching.
These videos are honestly released once or twice a month. Otherwise it’s regular Baron Pilot content.
You know, it’s an odd thing. If a channel I subscribe to posts some content I’m not interested in… I don’t watch those videos! Maybe it’s just me… 🤔
Who said I sit and watch all the videos? 🤔
I watched a few but they were boring so I didn't watch anymore. @@troyjollimore4100
Kim’s getting much more confident. I noticed that she calculates a lot, like pattern altitude vs. have a good visual feel for what it should be. Great progress!
She is quite awesome letting people watch her learn. I don't think I could have allowed that when I was trained.
Kim. Come on up to MRT. Get some great pizza and homemade root beer….
Kim Kim, you're doing a good job.
You're right in to the radar corrections are the fly you're doing great. Happy New Year to you your boyfriend and a guy's instructor wish you're happy to know what you're for me. You're doing good work. I know you can do. I'll talk to you about you go out if you do anybody can do that❤
Someone knows what they are doing!!! Fantastic!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
What are Matt’s career goals? Military? Airlines? Private or corporate jets?
If it was Military he could have joined and started down that path already. It’s a fast track to the airlines if you can put up with being in the military for a decade or so.
He’s got into working corporate jet but he misses teaching a lot!
Experience takes the stress out :) novelty is stressful
No pie review at the end? That's why I watched the entire video!
Great job for both pilot and instructor, another great video (minus the lack of pie review)!
Keep up the great progress Kim. Thanks for letting us be the fly on the wall watching your training. Kudos to Matt too. Great instructor.😎
Your doing a great job Kim hang on in there all the best cheers
