Clearly not a truck or a family hauler, but fold the backseats down and you have some real room to work with! 🙂 I work from home, but I'm on the roads as much as I can, and this car would be the perfect daily driver. (Any flavor of it...) Thanks for posting!
I bought a 2017 obsidian black 2wd IS350 F-Sport in 22 with 55k miles, it came with Avid AV 2.0s and BC Racing coilovers which I didn't discover were on it till about a month later lol. As I was leaving the Toyota dealership I bought it from one of the service techs walked up to me and told me he was the previous owner and hated to sell it but needed a truck. After talking about the car for a bit I knew I made a good choice after a 3 hour journey to pickup the car just based off of pictures and telephone calls with the sales guy. Anyway I absolutely love the car, it rides on rails in the corners and stops on a dime. I come from a time where you had to actually roll up the windows so I actually like the old analog-ish interior. The Mark Levitson stereo is great once you tune the eq (turn the midrange down past half and the treble and bass up to taste on each music source). While not the quickest car on the block it can still elicit smiles in sport mode with manual gear changes. I have no problems getting in an out of the car except after a very hard workout. Yeah it can get cramped on long drives and the way my coilovers are set along with the wheels and tires the ride can beat you up at times. I have my complaints but they don't stop me from enjoying a well put together reliable vehicle. My next sedan will probably be a Blackwing but yes I would certainly buy a new IS especially the 500.
I have to disagree 100% with the ride quality comment. This is not a stiff car at ALL especially if you pass on the bbs wheels. I have the AWD 350 f sport and it is a dream to drive ! The steering is smooth and accurate.
It’s all relative I agree it’s pretty smooth compared to some cars but for example just compared to my Camry XSE V6 it is a much stiffer ride which is good and is how it is intended to be! Thank you so much for your feedback tho and I’m glad you love your car!
Subscribed ! Thank you for the in depth reviews ! I’m looking into a Lexus ! Wasn’t sure what model I wanted, the Is is so nice too!!! but I agree, it is a little too low.
My dream is a new IS350 or 500 in the future. I currently have an 01 IS300 at 293K miles and absolutely still love it. Doing all I can to make it last and maintain it until I have enough saved up to buy a new IS down the road.
Great points all around and I'm currently in the market weighing this vehicle amongst a couple others - one of the biggest drawbacks for me is the lack of power in it's price point and class. While it's nice to have this bulletproof natural V6, the meager 311hp is quite a turnoff to me when you consider how much this vehicle goes for and what other similar vehicles have for power. Not that horsepower is everything, as I absolutely love everything else about this vehicle - but I just wish Lexus had put a more powerful engine that boasted better performance numbers. I feel that with everything going for this vehicle at it's price point, a V6 with somewhere closer to 350hp would get me to the dealership immediately.
Good unbiased review. Love everything except the driving too low. I hate drivers suddenly slowing down and going sideways when they encounter a bump or something. So for this reason, I will pass and go ES for the oldies 😄
Thank you for the feedback 🙏 and yup always so inconvenient for the driver and the other people on the road haha so yeah ES is definitely better for a lot of people!
The MPG is not 24 average. On the highway these cars do well but the city (real city driving not suburb driving) kils the mpg it's like 15 in real city driving. So average will likely be 21-22 for a highway bised driving.
The 24 MPG that I mentioned is just based off of the way that I drive it and it’s the literal exact number that I have on my car. You might have a different experience depending on what your ratio of freeway to city driving you have! I really appreciate your feedback tho it really gives us an insight on how the car performs for different people!
Was debating between is 350 and es 350. I believe the ES 350 beats out the IS by a long shot for a daily. Back seat has more space than most SUV's. Larger trunk, super smooth ride. Most importantly better mpg and takes regular gas. Decent performance from the v6 too. The IS looks nicer but the ES is very clean too (2019+ models.)
The 2gr goes hard 4k rpm and above, and it's a NA set up. It gives you two ways to drive it, normal and save some fuel with keeping rpm down, or rev it out and have fun.
as someone who drives a sedan and perfer a sedan over a suv and is not tall im already planing to buy this car after i finish paying off my current car

great video bro your very detailed on everything. Yeah for me i would go with a Genesis G70 smoother ride and more power with the 3.3TT engine. I know its not a Lexus but its still a great car. more room as well.

@DLCarReviews awesome Welcome. So that's is350 is urs right. Lexus, toyota are way superior then hyundai Genesis with proven Reliably over many years.Gensis are good but Lexus much better far as begin Reliable . You will definitely love the G70 it's super smooth ride iv been in a older one 2015 I think. The older V8 version I still see many of them on the road so something us good 👍.
I like this video. I like the down-to-earth daily driving impressions. This is how this car will be driven 99% of the time! I'll be honest, I would not want three grown men to be in the back of my car. It would be pretty tight! I don't think I've ever had anyone sit in that middle position, and I don't think they'd want to. But, in the outboard seats, anyone under six feet tall should be A-OK.
It’s all relative brother but yeah compared to a lamborghini it’s not very low but compared to an average suv it’s pretty low you know what i mean? But you’re right compared to other cars in its class it’s not too crazy low
@@DLCRMediayes it’s not low at all for it’s class, I think you should compare it to cars in it’s class. These are luxury sport sedans they obviously sit lower then crossovers or SUV’s

It looks like your is 350 f sport doesn't have the upgraded Mark Levinson audio system. If you thought the base audio system sounds good, then your mind would be blown if you heard the Mark Levinson audio package.
I've owned an IS with and without the ML system, and it is miles better than the base system, which isn't bad by any means but not impressive either. You can tell this car doesn't have the ML system by the look of the volume and tuning knobs. They have a matte aluminum finish in the ML-equipped cars rather than a stainless-steel type finish in this car.
I was about to say the same thing, especially suggesting it isn't as good as Sennheiser. Sennheiser is great stuff, but their top line headphone amp tops out around $3,500, whereas the best Mark Levinson amps go well into $50,000 territory. Not quite apples to apples, but an indication of their respective places in the market.
Just purchased a new 2024 is350 F-sport and your right the first thing i noticed was it is hard to get in and out of and im not crazy about how tight the drivers seating is for a 6'2" 230lb guy but the driving performance is excellent!
This is kind of a good point but people buy performance vehicles that aren’t comfortable all the time it all depends on preference. I assure you NBA or NFL players are not particularly comfortable in their tiny Ferraris and Lamborghinis but they get them for the performance
It will all depend on your preferences! Like why you want the car if you want comfort being that size might be a bit tight but if you want performance but still with some practicality and good price then this could still be the car for you!
Hey was wondering if you have apple CarPlay/Android auto in your car and is it a touchscreen? Or trackpad. Thanks, great video, thinking about picking up a CPO.
Very good question honestly but i guess it comes down to how long you plan on keeping the car because i feel like overall the BMW 230 will be more fun but the Lexus IS350 F Sport will last you longer while still being a fun car. What exactly are you looking for rn?

I'm 68 years old and two comments you made, which this is the first review where I've heard them, about the car being hard to get into, and I assume to get out of, also the comment about the ride not being very smooth. I got spoiled with a Lincoln MKS a few years ago and I want something like that in a sporty car. I love the concept of this car and the styling but I want comfort over performance. I don't need Lincoln smooth but comfortable over rough roads and long trips. Recommendations?
You can look into a Lexus GS 350 F Sport. It's a fair bit smoother and larger than the IS, but you will have to find it used since Lexus ceased production in 2020.
This car would absolutely shine if they used the Supra B58 motor and transmission. As it stands, it's just a civic sized Lexus that only offers reliability as the selling point. Performance is trash, transmission is lethargic, sound is abysmal (compared to said B58), and the infotainment system is a second thought. Lexus is riding it's reputation into obsoletion.
Hit the nail on the head, b58 has better mpg too… Was looking at a is350 f sport and almost got it till I learned that the CarPlay on the 2024 model is wired only Now looking at the m340i
@@bigden2755 I did. Don't cape for Lexus homie. Everything they have is forgettable except the LC500 and that's only due to it's design. The engine and transmission in that is equally trash, unless you just have low expectations and no experience with other performance cars.

such a stunning car!! i'm glad you love it!
Nice review! Space-wise, I was able to fit all 4 PS4S replacement tires into the car. Clearly not a truck or a family hauler, but fold the backseats down and you have some real room to work with! 🙂 I work from home, but I'm on the roads as much as I can, and this car would be the perfect daily driver. (Any flavor of it...) Thanks for posting!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I love to see that you love the car so much and it had worked out so well for you!
Clear and straight to the point. Thank you for the review.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Atomic Silver color is the best silver car color ever made in my opinion
I agree, it looks so good!
I agree totally with this lol.. 😂was telling my brother the same thing
appreciate the honesty and down to earth commentary. Still can't decide between this, the g70, and the TLX a-spec!
Thank you i appreciate that! Yeah those are really good choices too can’t go wrong with any of those!
That was an amazing comment thank you for that and i'm glad your car is so amazing to drive!
Nice Review.. I just bought a 2023 IS350 Black with the red guts back in July!! Love my IS .. I named here Sexy Lexy
Haha that is so awesome man I’m glad you love it! Thank you for the feedback!
I daily drive this car. It’s my happy place
That makes me happy to hear brotha! I’m glad you love your car!
Subscribed ! Thank you for the in depth reviews ! I’m looking into a Lexus ! Wasn’t sure what model I wanted, the Is is so nice too!!! but I agree, it is a little too low.
Glad you found this video helpful and thank you so much for subscribing!
My dream is a new IS350 or 500 in the future. I currently have an 01 IS300 at 293K miles and absolutely still love it. Doing all I can to make it last and maintain it until I have enough saved up to buy a new IS down the road.
You can make your dreams come true! I’ll be here waiting to see when you finally accomplish it! 🙏
I agree with this and thank you so much for the feedback!
I own mine in blue 2023. This vehicle is amazing. I will never go back to another vehicle.
Ahh that blue one is so fire 🔥🔥🔥
Nice review man, I almost ended up gettimg the 350 f sport. I ended up just going with a lesser car, the IS 300 but I still love it!
Not a bad choice brotha! Just a little less power but has most of the same good features of the IS350.
Plug and play tunes are your friend. I had a 300 before my 350 and the D3 performance tune unlocked the car from its restrictive factory tune.
@@SO_L-GR what years did you have for both and how similar was the 300 with the tune?
@@DLCRMediaYeah just want people to be aware.
I agree!
Lacks torque on the low end of RPM which makes for a “sluggish” feeling from dead stop but fantastic daily overall.
I agree, i feel like a bit of a tune could help with that maybe but i like it as it is personally because of the power it delivers at the high end
@@DLCRMedia Yeah, I’ve had mine for 3 years now. Some minor cons I could point out here and there but overall love for the car.
@@JJS432I mean you can’t have it all that’s the problem. In that case you should got a German car but I already know what you gonna say lol
@@jaiiBoii91 What was I going to say? 🤷🏽♂️
It’ll be a super good choice!
I own a LC 500 top dog ! This car is good for entry level people that want a reliable car and decked out !
Ahh man that car is amazing i hope you have a ton of fun with it! Thank you for the comment!
Great video man, the only comment I have is I think the steering is stiff only in sport mode, otherwise it’s similar to other cars
Thank you so much! And yeah i agree unless you just did a serious arm workout 😂
Good review man. I’ve always loved the IS350.
Thank you 🙏 it really is a great car
Great video.. Really considering getting one of these because of your video. Thank you!
That’s amazing let me know if you end up getting one! Thank you for the comment!
I had a 2018!Lexus IS 350F Sport & it was really my favorite car of all times. Sadly dhing the Covid Variant Outbreak 22/23 i was forced to sell my face car to be able to cover much needed Veterinary ER bills for the treatment of my furry Cats. Today nothing would make me happier than to be be able to re purchase my favorite Car even if its 1/2 years old. Being during these times without a Car & depending only on public transportation & ride share services is tough. But the love for my furry feline Children is bigger.😔
Sorry to hear that! One day hopefully you can get one again!
great video bro your very detailed on everything. Yeah for me i would go with a Genesis G70 smoother ride and more power with the 3.3TT engine. I know its not a Lexus but its still a great car. more room as well.
I really appreciate that brotha fr 🙏 always like receiving comments like this one. I would definitely like to review one of those soon so I’ll try to get that done soon!
Thank you so much for taking your time to write this! I agree with all of that too haha
love it! thanks for the real review
Thank you i appreciate the feedback fr 🙏
Keeping it real. Great review.
Thank you!
You mentioned the car is low. The ground clearance is 5.5 inches. Is that really low? The Camry is 5.7
It’s all relative brother but yeah compared to a lamborghini it’s not very low but compared to an average suv it’s pretty low you know what i mean? But you’re right compared to other cars in its class it’s not too crazy low
@@DLCRMediayes it’s not low at all for it’s class, I think you should compare it to cars in it’s class. These are luxury sport sedans they obviously sit lower then crossovers or SUV’s
@@svr5516 It's low enough to scrape all the time if you're not careful.
@@TonioD49 yes but that’s any sedan, do you know for a fact if this sits lowers then other sedans ? Personally I don’t think so, I have one and I’m the height makes sense. I don’t find it to be too “low” as a con
Great video. Well done.
Thank you i appreciate that 🙏
It looks like your is 350 f sport doesn't have the upgraded Mark Levinson audio system. If you thought the base audio system sounds good, then your mind would be blown if you heard the Mark Levinson audio package.
I’m gonna have to look into that! Thank you for the feedback
Was looking for this comment ! It’s insane !
How do you know which ones have that?
Superb content, wishing you success sir!
Thank you I seriously appreciate that!
Love Lexus they need to bring back manual transmission
Yeah i agree! Would definitely stand out for the enthusiasts!
Just purchased a new 2024 is350 F-sport and your right the first thing i noticed was it is hard to get in and out of and im not crazy about how tight the drivers seating is for a 6'2" 230lb guy but the driving performance is excellent!
Are u complaining about the seats..if so why buy the car..one should enjoy getting in their car
I’m 6’1 and conflicted about getting it because of the space. How do feel about it now?
Oh yeah for someone of your size it’s definitely gonna be more of a struggle! I’m about 5’7 175 and already struggle haha
This is kind of a good point but people buy performance vehicles that aren’t comfortable all the time it all depends on preference. I assure you NBA or NFL players are not particularly comfortable in their tiny Ferraris and Lamborghinis but they get them for the performance
It will all depend on your preferences! Like why you want the car if you want comfort being that size might be a bit tight but if you want performance but still with some practicality and good price then this could still be the car for you!
that is the best exterior color
Fr man it is so nice!
Still no auto folding mirrors for this vehicle? Was hoping the refresh would’ve remedied that shortcoming.
Yeah i was honestly thinking the same thing! I don’t know why they haven’t added that yet!
This would have added the cost of course. Interestingly though, one can fold side mirrors manually in this IS.
i think it's added for 2025 models
@@gc2916 You are correct. It's official.
Hey was wondering if you have apple CarPlay/Android auto in your car and is it a touchscreen? Or trackpad. Thanks, great video, thinking about picking up a CPO.
Yes i use apple carplay in the car however it is wired! And it is touchscreen! And it also has a trackpad! Thank you so much for the feedback!
Would you recommend 2024 BMW 230 wt Msport package or 2024 Lexus IS350 F Sport Design?
Very good question honestly but i guess it comes down to how long you plan on keeping the car because i feel like overall the BMW 230 will be more fun but the Lexus IS350 F Sport will last you longer while still being a fun car. What exactly are you looking for rn?
@@DLCRMedia That was exactly what I was thinking. I always owned nothing but Japanese cars due to its reputation of reliability. But wanted to try a German car. When I test drove the BMW 230, I was surprised how well the performance was and the B48 engine is fairly quick. When I test drove the IS350, it felt smooth and even though it was a bigger engine (V6), i felt the B48 4 cylinder engine was quicker. I am assuming because of the added turbo. The interior of the 230 felt more expensive compared IS350 since they have not updated the interior for a long time. I guess it all boils down to do i want performance vs quality, However, I did her do that BMW quality has improved. I am looking for both quality and performance.. What do you think?
Go for the BMW.
Yeah the steering is quite stiff for daily drive. You can feel that the steering is connected to you.
Yeah honestly i like it a lot!
I have heard a lot of good things about the Genesis luxury line of cars i would recommend taking a look into those!
You can look into a Lexus GS 350 F Sport. It's a fair bit smoother and larger than the IS, but you will have to find it used since Lexus ceased production in 2020.
Nice review, keep it up
Thank you i appreciate it!
what color is the exterior on this? looks great!
I believe the color is called atomic silver!
Nice review 👍🏾
I appreciate the feedback!
Its a beautiful vehicle....Whats the name of the song playing?
I believe it’s called “yun”, i just found it on the editing software i use!
You had to strain so much getting in! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha yeah it’s not too difficult for me since I’m only 23 but for older gentlemen or women it can get a bit more difficult
How about long trips long 16 hours? does it beat you?
Yes it does i would not recommend it for any trip longer than like 8 hours!
It's hard to climb into that car. Bro... c'monnnn.
It ain’t no suv lol
This car would absolutely shine if they used the Supra B58 motor and transmission. As it stands, it's just a civic sized Lexus that only offers reliability as the selling point. Performance is trash, transmission is lethargic, sound is abysmal (compared to said B58), and the infotainment system is a second thought. Lexus is riding it's reputation into obsoletion.
It could for sure use some refreshing I hope the next generation brings a lot of those changes that you’re describing!
Buy a M340i, then.....
Hit the nail on the head, b58 has better mpg too…
Was looking at a is350 f sport and almost got it till I learned that the CarPlay on the 2024 model is wired only
Now looking at the m340i
@@bigden2755 I did. Don't cape for Lexus homie. Everything they have is forgettable except the LC500 and that's only due to it's design. The engine and transmission in that is equally trash, unless you just have low expectations and no experience with other performance cars.
My IS350 F Sport doesn't come with cooled seats. The stereo is definitely good though. I would not trade it for a BMW or Mercedes, that's for sure.
Ah man depending where you live it really isn't a huge deal but yeah the stereo you can never go wrong with! thanks for the comment!
You must have a F Sport Design, Ventilated seats weren't available on those models, only the F Sports offered Heated and Ventilated Seats, the Design Models only offered Heated Seats.

the CD player just kills me man, hopefully they get rid of it for 2025 since im gonna be looking for a more city friendly car next your to replace my truck
Yeah man it’s a really weird addition but Lexus and Toyota kinda have been infamous for leaving things in for a bit too long
Why does it bother you? If you don't want to use it, just don't. I think it's a great feature, and I'm glad at least one car has it in 2024.
@@MihaelTurina i mean with android auto and apple car play a cd player is essentially useless and that big cd opening in the middle of dash is very annoying to me which i know is a matter of opinion.
