"Out in the West Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl." First heard it when I was 14. Love it to this very day. So many great songs before there were computers.
I've never been to El Paso, but 12 years ago, down in the So-Cal town of Lakeside, I fell in love with a Mexican girl. (It may be unrequited, but she knows I still do).
Did both of those.. look back a little in the videos 😊 so many things to see😮 stopped by Luckenbach,TX as well😊 .. if you have ever heard the Johnny Cash song " everywhere " that's my bucket list 😊😊
@lifewithlennie So cool. Thanks for sharing.I posted this to my Mum and Dad, and after all these years of playing this song,we now know it actually exists. History right here folks.👍🏽
Wrong, the badlands of New Mexico are where you first pointed and said was Mexico...That mountain called El Cristo Rey is New Mexico...The mountains you pointed at and said were the badlands of New Mexico are actually the Franklin Mountains of El Paso on the Westside facing you and the Eastside on the other side.
Thank you very much. geography was never my best subject! more than I like to admit I turn driver side after the GPS tells me to take a right 🥴. if / when I get back in the area I will make a update with your information. I have a token for a free beer there so I will definitely drive a little out of the way 😁. again thanks for the info, it is appreciated 👍

Iconic song! And now, knowing that while the story is made up, the place is real 😊 these are the things that make travel so magical ✨️
I always liked the song, but it never occurred to me that there was an actual Rosa's Cantina. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Sounds like a love song to me 😊😊
@@lifewithlennie I told her about the line I wrote---and she liked it, but I'm still "friend-zoned."
Cool stop!!
we just heard about it on the road😯
That's cool but now you need to head up to Winslow Az and stand on that corner , and don't forget about the four corners .
