Menerbes. About 45 minutes east of Avignon. We actually just stayed there again a few weeks ago. It’s truly the best!

@@adeliziadventures In 2010 I flew Ryanair to Marseille and then local rail to Cavaillon. I was on the trail of "A Year in Provence". I had read all of Peter Mayle's books on Provence and decided to see for myself. I wasn't disappointed. His passing in 2018 came as a shock to me. I did however take something from this sad event. "Get out there and see it while you still can." This doesn't just apply to Provence.

What time of year was your stay?

We’ve been there twice now. The first time was mid-late May and more recently was early June. Advantage is it’s not too hot and it’s not as crowded. Disadvantage is chance of light rain and your too early for sunflowers and lavender fields.
