This is the second game in the South Tigris trilogy. We didn't love Wayfarers of the South Tigris, but we hoped this would be better!

This, to me, was reminiscent of Trismegistus in terms of how you make it all work, but a much more accessible version. Definitely on the heavier side of the Garphill universe, but still fun. The more I have played it, the better I have gotten and the more the design shows as being pretty smart. There is definitely something to be said for employing translators that you know others will use. Finding ways to score points can feel challenging at first, but it sort of settled in for me. Definitely curious to see if he tries to expand this one as it doesn't feel like it needs MORE layered onto it. I really want to focus more on some of the other tracks, as well as trying to recruit to rooms that require less gold to retire.

I like the compact look of the small west kingdoms boxes, but they're an absolute nightmare to re-pack and that's without an expansion. Much prefer the large box with insert in practical terms

The insert makes a lot more sense if you throw out all the baggies. The rounded inserts along the sides are for each of the player color components. You likely have them all thrown into a bag.

Wayfarers insert is really good and help setup, once you understand how the #$#% it's meant to be used, once you found out (theres a video on the bgg) its really good maybe with a couple of extra holes ( maybe a mini expansion) but it works,
Maybe (and only maybe) this insert works that way they should make a video or an apendix on the manual of how to use the insert -_-

Everytime Johannes says "weight" I understand "WAIT: for whom is it for?", and I only realise it now! I need to rewatch all the previous reviews. There's a new underline meaning I lost xD
