What great tips - I’ve had my trimmer for over a year and never heard of the foil /wax paper tip. I didn’t know about the secret compartment either. I’m on vacation and now I can’t wait to get home and turn it over - LOL 😮. Thanks Connie. You’re my hero!
Well, dang! I was so disappointed when I came home from vacation and discovered my 1-year old trimmer doesn’t have the cool storage tray or removable slot!! So sad 😢. Oh well - I still got lots of good tips on sharpening and cleaning from your video. Thank you for this one Connie!
I bought a paper trimmer in a sale, and didn't realise that it was being discontinued. The blade is getting a bit tired now, so I shall try these tips to try and give it more working time. Sadly, I can't afford to buy a new one; I'd really like one like your's, with the scoring blade - I'm rubbish when it comes to score and fold! Thanks, Connie. Best wishes, Chris 😃
I almost hate to admit this but I have this trimmer and have NEVER used it. I think I will now get it out and start using my Stampin' Trimmer! Thanks for the education! Very helpful. And yes, I've had it for a couple to a few years in the box in my stamping closet. Sad.................
You have inspired me to go give my trimmer a tune up. She has been on time out because of bad behavior. And, oh my gosh - what a great tip for a "glimmer blade". That tip alone was worth the whole video!!!!
excellent. thorough. couple of things i knew about but you covered all the bases with excellence and thoroughness. thanks sooooooooo much. and OH. your voice? i am in love with your voice !!! just sayin'. and yes, your tips are SO varied and almost always greatly needed and useful !!!
This should be required viewing for all crafters. Wow! Packed with great tips which I didn't even know about. I can't wait to tune my trimmer up, now! Thanks, Connie!
Hi Connie, thanks for the tune up tips. I’m a SU Demonstrator as well and love watching your videos! You’re so upbeat and friendly! Have a wonderful day!
Thanks Connie for all your tips and tricks uploads. I am a demonstrator from Germany, kind of new to the field and learned a lot from your advanced experience. To use the not so smooth one with glimmer paper is a great tip. So far I used my "dullish" ones for cutting the adhesive sheets (or cardstock with adhesive sheet already sticked on) but now I will reserve one for glimmer, too :-) Lot's of cheer from near Berlin, Sabine
Oh Connie, thanks for so many tips. I do clean my trimmer track but now I'm thinking maybe I don't need to replace my blades as often as I do. Love your sharpening tip and for using a slightly dulling blade for glimmer, thank you. My trimmer will sometimes stick but I know what to do about it. Thank you so much you wonderful lady. Take good care.
Thanks for the tips, especially regarding the track & keeping the older blade for glimmer paper. I just bought a new track but I’ll be sure to clean it next time. 😃
This was a fabulous tip! I was getting so frustrated with rough edges! Love the idea of using old blade for glimmer only! Wow! Thank you so much , Connie! Love your 2 minute tips!
AMAZING tutorial! I have had trouble with my trimmer soo often!! And I usually just change the blade😳 and that's expensive! So gonna try these TIPS! Thanks Connie!😊😊
Such a great video--I've watched it twice so far. And I never thought to have a separate blade for glitter/textured paper. Often I would flip it over, but still sometimes it was a bit ragged. Sure appreciate the time and energy you devote to your many fans!
Thank you Connie for these great tips.❣️And...thanks your husband again for the fantastic tip « how to open ink pad. » It save my creativity!❣️🤗🤗Lyne xxx😘
Great tips especially for the glimmer paper. I just purchased the trimmer even though it is retiring because it appeared to be the best I have seen after reading reviews on several other brand names Son I need to make it last for a long time. Thank you so much.
@@simplysimplestamping I requested that I be emailed when they come in but sometimes I get the message after the item is sold out again so I will check every day now. Thank you.
Always good to remember your trimmer ! I like to clean mine sometimes, it really does make a difference. So thanks for sharing Connie, and reminding me I should do it !
Thanks! My blade has been dull for a while, but I couldn't figure out how to get it out. I looked for other videos but didn't find any. I appreciate your taking the time to share this information.
Thanks Connie for the tips. I didn't know about the wax paper. My blade gets so dull after a couple of times, I just put a new one on every couple of months. They say these are suppose to last a long time before changing them. These are can be very expensive as they are close to $9 for a pack of two. Now I know how I can keep them alive longer so to speak. Tfs
Wonderful tips, Connie! Thank you!! Recently, a friend Demo living at the coast, told me about an issue with living in high humidity environments, and that was one of reasons she was getting slightly "furry" edges. I live in a very dry climate, but recently have used a steamer in my room, and interestingly, even with a new blade (and clean trimmer) I am experiencing exactly that! I keep a little sanding block handy and that does helps. I would be interested to know if any others have noticed this at all, so hope some will respond, either way. Thanks again. Your tips are always great!
Oh Connie, thank you for this tip. I had just put a new blade on my trimmer and it still didn't cut smoothly, now I know why. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Mary, yes this video is an older one and focuses on the older paper trimmer.
