I love how she’s taking it slow and just going through the steps. If she went faster he might of messed up a bit. This is a great video to teach, it’s slow enough to pick up on steps. I will try to teach my husband with this video. Thank you for sharing and great job!
Lovely video! I'm an absolute beginner and I love learning new styles! That video helps a lot!!! We only learn the style coded with "normal" in this comment🙈 So no idea if there are names for the styles. Feel free to judge me for the codes below 👇 😂 0:08 back 1:04 front 1:19 normal 1:38 back, side open 1:42 turning foot up, front 1:57 back 2:40 on spot, front 2:50 normal 3:06 back open 3:10 turn foot up, front 3:20 normal 3:42 turn foot up, front 3:53 back 4:37 front
Damn! Not bad for an American! Like really, I've seen much worse... But some tips from an actual Colombian! 1. Be more loose 2. It's all in the knees man! So always stay with your knees just a little bent and when you make a step bend the foot that is still. 3. Buy better shoes, those are made for adventures not indoor salsa... Buy some slim and skinny shoes! And 4. Spread this amazing dance with everyone you know! I love when other people from other cultures learn about Colombian culture and learn its COLOMBIA not Columbia😕😡 And keep up the nice work!
"be more loose" is just as bad as an advice like "feel the music" or "be more fluid" or "dance better". I know you had good intentions, but just imagine you try to learn a very different type of dance with a very different type of music and someone walks up to you saying "well, not bad for a colombian, but be more loose. Make it look easier. Don't focus so much on what you learnt, just let it flow." well, seriously, instead of saying that, just say nothing. That is my advice for you.
Love Colombian dance and great that we gringos to participate in it. But why are you wearing these shoes ?? Are you a craftsman and have just lunch break or went to the coffee triangle to hike?

Jossnaz I guess your right but whatever just trying to help
You are wrong! I could see he was a little stiff from the moment I saw the video. You have to loosen up to learn how to dance
You are correct. He was a little stiff. Loosening up is the first step of dancing.
COLUMBIA, UGH DISGUSTING. Btw, this video triggered me to go learn dancing when i'm going to Medellin upcoming summer. I LOVE THIS MUSIC
Love Colombian dance and great that we gringos to participate in it. But why are you wearing these shoes ?? Are you a craftsman and have just lunch break or went to the coffee triangle to hike?
Go David! Amazing.
Good job! Loved the foot work!
Awwww man! That's awesome. Nice work, David. I bet you're really REALLY good now, since this lesson 5 came what - coming on 2 years ago?? ;)
He does pretty good
Dave- how long did it take you to learn the Salsa? Looks like fun.
Doing good man, seeing as this is a 4 year old video, I'm sure you're floating like a butterfly on the dance floor now :D
Wasn't this song in Narcos?
Exactly its a classic, I presume
Nice work. You'd probably look much more graceful in proper dancing shoes rather than clunky shoes. ;)
She didn't teach you to dance on the 1? Sometimes you are on it but you drift about and are sometimes on the 3, sometimes the 5.
Beautiful
You'd be a really good sonidera cumbia dancer
Love this song ❤
Aime Venus what’s the name of this song
this dude is US SF......why isn't any one taking care of him???

+Idriss casa el preso by fruko y sus tesos
The teacher is malanga, malanga!!
Rosa M. Garcia what does Malanga mean?
nice
It was good but he was a little stiff but it could have been better
I can’t learn shit… just staring at her dance the whole time haha I’m suppose to be looking at the dude lol
Me gusta
boi he flipped her mad fast wat if he broke her neck
She's gorgeous but doesn't seem as graceful as she could be. I see his room for improvement , and also hers. She's a tad stiff.
They move way to slow. The song is going a lot faster. Their body looks too stiff, loose it up people.
Looking sharp, bro! The chick would be too much a distraction for me. I would be indicted by the “me too” league
A Colombian girl recently rejected me because I didn't dance. Can it get more shallow than that? SMH
Well it’s a strong part of their culture. Every Colombian man dances.
o
It´s as beginers..... very bad..... I thin so that not for vioeos.....
Lol
boi he flipped her mad fast wat if he broke her neck😂😂
Pfffffffff, that's cute that you think that... You should come to Colombia and see real Salsa in real action!
