    • @Denise_2262
      @Denise_2262 8 дней назад

      That's the plan for all our cities. I cried the last time i saw Denver in 23. I hasnt aeen it in 10 yeqrs . I live in North Alabama. Very red state but republicans are too worried about abortion and how they could ban it further even tho this is wildly unpopular and has cost them elections already that they can not do anything about illegal immigration or the debt or anything at all that would help slow our decline. All they can think about is what is up a woman's uterus and how long it has been there and this gets massive funding for them. Don't get me wrong, I think abortion is tragic. But my area is seeing women get denied appointments until 2nd trimester in case she miscarried and the state blames the doctor. Doctors are leaving so there aren't enough OB doctors. I have a friend that miscarried in the hospital bathroom because nobody would see her. So now, the small city beside Huntsville has flipped the republican incumbent seat to a lady democrat for abortion and IVF. I tried to tell our senators and governor we could just do a ballot initiative in our state and the republicans could keep their jobs and the voters could decide and we won't have to live under democrat policies because of abortion like Kamsas. But no, that won't happen. So even in my deep red state abortion is changing the politics and we have had a mass influx 😅of people from California and New York. So it might take time but even deep red areas will be changing because California and New York have people fleeing so they can destroy new cities and states. Sad but this is happening all over and all the illegals will vote for whomever gives them the most handouts. It isn't sustainable and will destroy everything. Can't be fixed without a serious change. That won't happen but I do hope I die before the worst od it happens.

    Its so angering knowing that the people we elect know that were going to go bankrupt and refuse to do anything about it. As much as it will hurt, we need to cut all entitlement programs down to the bare minimum, people used to be embarrassed to use foodstamps, now people are proud of handouts from the goverment, no more paying fat people to sit at home instead of work.

      @Denise_2262 8 дней назад

      Yes we have to cut spending. We have been taxed to death and look how they have spent it. We need quality candidates for offices and that means everyone gets the same amount od money to run. Stop lobbying and bribing politicians and term limits. Get these old people out that ha e run the government since the 80s. It is time to go. They ha e ruined us and sold us out and they hate us anyway. I don't think any od them care what they have done to us and that means what they have done to their own children and grandchildren. They have to go. We are constantly choosing between people nobody wants to really vote for. Nobody does any gatekeepung for the far lefts and the far rights with super bad ideas. AMERICA us in the middle. We just want normalcy and opportunity and education for our kids and to be able to afford food for our families. Flooding us with illegals is going to destroy us. Working people shouldn't have to pay taxes foe this plus all the people we already have that never work. We need to get serious and our politicians aren't doung it. They like what is happening so long as they stay in power. Bringing in the world's poorest and most illiterate people that hate us plus millions of single men without vetting them from countries that despise us and want laws like the medieval ages to live off our taxes a d destroy everything our fathers and forefathers built all while screaming it isn't enough and we are all racists is just horrible. Republicans have done nothing to stop any of this because all they care about is abortion. That is so unpopular with most od the population and will never ever be popular with most of America so it is definitely the reason we are even considering we could lose in November. Trump was even pro choice but he had to take that money from all the zealots that can't think about anything else. As if that is even close to our biggest problems and no religion is not going to make a comeback and religious people don't get to ha e a monopoly on morality. I am not religious but I am a moral person and I believe in justice and basically living in a society of respect. Our government stealing from us while giving nothing is disgusting but all we can do is complain on the inernet and hope foe the best. We will never get congress to pass laws that limits their powers, limits their ability to stay forever and basically do the right thing. They won't and we are powerless to make them. I would love to see every single one voted out. We couldn't do any worse.

    • @Denise_2262

      I replied to you but it doesn't show up so I will say I agree with you. We have to cut spending and all people running should get the same amount to run on. End lobbying which is bribes and people paying no taxes and dependent on the government shouldn't vote. Help from the government should be temporary a d absolutely nobody that isn't a citizen should be voting. We need people leading that aren't bought by other countries or companies and aren't compromised in any way so that they do the best they can for the American people. It is amazing that this isn't the wag it is already but politicians only care about furthering their careers and have ruined our country. Think for a minute
    You have a yearly bill that you know is coming. Cost $1000
    At the end of the year, you don't have $1000 ($900) and have to borrow $100.
    The following year, you haven't changed your spending at all. You have paid the $100 loan, and you are also short again, but because of the loan for the previous year, you are now $150 short. Do this same thing year after year. You would be bankrupt.
    You have to be smart about money. You can't spend more than you make. You can't borrow money perpetually.

    We messed up when we took Jesus out of the schools. In kindergarten I remember praying 1st, then repeating the Pledge of Allegiance. We learned at school, not only home; how to care for our American Flag. Never let it touch the ground. How it fold it, show it respect. 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸
    The reason we don't let it touch the ground is because our forefathers didn't. If our kids don't understand why WE have respect; they'll never understand.

    Ben, while I agree with the basic premise that US is going morally and financially bankrupt, I disagree with your assessment of an antagonistic relationship between the 2 causes: guilt and shame. Rather I see them as complementary. Guilt must presume the personal internalization of a moral code via convictions, while shame is the external consequence of collective adherence to an ethic legal system. The ultimate aim of any society should be achieving the personal internalization of these convictions without the use of coercive means. However, the 2 work synergistically. As parents we desire our kids to adhere to a set of moral standards but in order to achieve this goal the family will exercise external pressure (facing the consequences) on that kid up until mature enough to self-correct. When that happens, we hope they made the transition and become responsible citizens that abide by the Law. But it has to be said that absent a solid religious moral environment the incentives to conform to such norms lacks both the foundation for and the personal motivation to live by these.
