I recently got a SK64 keyboard with optical reds and they're definitely a lot smoother than outemu reds.
I was going to get a ducky but out of stock everywhere for me in the UK and started looking around, I am used to cherry MX Red's, But I saw this and over half the price of a ducky I tried it, It's best thing for the price can either have 1ms response time wired or bluetooth for sitting back in my chair, The gaterons are very good copies of MX red's I put my old pbt keycaps on too as they are hot swappable best buy this year. Very fast , And with true rgb 50 with VAT it is a steal. I subbed.

I bought the DK61 thinking it was the GK61 because of how similar all the names are then realized what I bought a day before it arrived. Looking at the review looks like I’m not missing anything and I’m actually winning so yay! I guess

@@kinghaus yeah I actually still use it now I haven't really had any problems except the cord stopped working and I had to replace it but other than that I do really like it.

There is also a software for DK61 somewhere on their site where you can customise layers
which is what I am using and you can change rgb down to individual keys

That software only works for the DK61 Pro - the Bluetooth+Wired version is customizable up the wazoo, and is definetly worth the extra cash.

Best Keyboard I’ve owned so far, went from a $200 keyboard to the DK 61. Even at a low price it is a premium feel keyboard, I recommend it to everyone I game with.

i would've purchased the keyboard if i had better switch options. In my past experience, optical browns have very limited travel and feel sorta "fake" compared to normal ones. I recently decided i want to try yellows, but due to optical yellows being lighter than reds, it would be a nightmare for me to type on. I've tried reds too and they're still too light for me

I was wondering if the dk61 had per key lighting. This is because I was planning on getting the cotton candy pudding keycaps for this keyboard and I wanted to add the blue and pink rgb to go along with the keycaps.
The software, least from what I could tell, didn’t have much customization as far as lighting.

I got the keyboard but the room wire is not USB c don’t know what to do because there is no spot where it connects to my computer and I have no idea even what the wire is

Just got the keyboard and it’s amazing other than one thing. If u have a razer bright green theme going for your setup, then I do NOT recommend this keyboard because the green looks ugly af compared to the rest of the bright green. It’s more of a teal than an actual green color

Should just be able to plug the USB C end into the keyboard and the weird old fashioned plug on the other side into a USB port on your computer

Is it possible to use the gk61 software with the dierya keyboard, this is an odd question and it shouldn’t work but I would assume that the dk61 and gk61 use the same pcbs it should theoretically work...right?
Good question. I think they actually use different PCBs. I have the GK61 put away somewhere and haven't compared. But that's a good question, I never thought to try the GK61 software with the dk61
@@Portly aw well that’s a shame it can’t hurt to try it, I asked this because I watched your review and the dk61 is a magnificent board and has a lot of pros in comparison to the gk61 the only con I have being that the lighting isn’t full customizable. So I thought using the gk61 software would be a good work around. That being said I’ll try it when I pick up my board from customs.

Uhm So 1 issue It says that there is no software for the dk61 but only the snowfox version and the dk61e
The DK61 in this video is the DK61E. Apparently it goes by either name, its confusing. I was able to use the software with no problems

Not possible, friend. This is why I don’t like optical boards. Very limited and imo not worth it over 3 and 5 pin switch boards.
You could probably mod the switches by taking the top housing from the cherry switches on the optical switches but I’m fairly certain the stems are too short on the bottom to work with optical switches

I NEED HELP, I am choosing between a sk61 (optical yellows) and a dk61 (silver), the sk is 80 dollars and the dk is 60, is it better to cheap out and get the dk or just send it and get the sk.
The board and switches are gonna be pretty much identical other than aesthetics. The stabilizers are slightly better on the DK61 out of the box, at least on my copy. But they’d still need to be modded for the best sound and feel so either way lol. The main differences are they keycaps and software. Personally I prefer the keycaps and software of the SK61, but some people don’t like the GSA profile keycaps on the SK61 for gaming. Hope that helps. In the end it’s up to you what you prefer
@@Portly so do you think it will be better to get the dk61 because it’s cheaper, I know that in the future I will get pudding keycaps so I think there’s no point in spending 80 dollars just to switch out the best thing about the keyboard the caps

The yellow switch version is usually available on kemove.com or Amazon but I’ve seen they have been selling out. Might have to wait for a restock

Dk61 for sure, it’s Bluetooth is backwards compatible and has a wired option aswell. The rk61 requires you to click a separate function key just to use the arrow keys and question mark. Gk61 has no Bluetooth. Dk61 is a better sk61
They also make the dk63 which is abt the same but wireless and it’s only $60

THE DK61 FOR SURE, it is on a huge sale currently if you have amazon prime, plus I believe the software is better on the dk61 and other benefits are there as well.

I haven't used the Akko 3061 but I imagine it's just like the other Akko boards I've used (3068, 3087) and no. I'd go for the Akko.

I am currently deciding if I should get this keyboard or the sk61. They both seem very similar but I like the design of the sk61 more tbh.
I still prefer the SK61 but if you're after yellow switches, I don't think the SK61 offers then. Could always buy them separately though and swap them in

@@Gaylord69420 personally I think they're too light for my preference. I would constantly accidentally press a key if resting my hand on the keyboard and it was annoying sometimes. But if you can get used to that it also feels really nice when gaming and typing, and is gonna be less strenuous

@@Gaylord69420 I always try to keep my hands elevated when typing and use a wrist rest, however when gaming it's not comfy to float your hands lol. It's less of a problem when gaming though. If you don't already, I do recommend using a wrist rest when using this keyboard

Becouse many youtubers say that the GK61 is one of the best keybords and you say that the DK is a evolution of the GK.
@@claxon2017 I think they're both very similar keyboards. The main advantage in my opinion is the better keycaps. But if you don't care about that then the GK61 is fine. You can always buy new/better keycaps later anyway and GK61 also has more customization via software.
