    Note: the score is wrong for the point at 12:00 because the players miscounted it as you can see at the end of that game.

    Med's court craft & understanding of shot angles is insane. Evans was on the defensive even on mundane rally balls!

    i wish TV showed behind the player pov more … This is how see how insane they hit.

    • @LiamApilado

      I think we will be seeing more of this angle on the near future from TV broadcasts. It's literally adding another dimension to tennis besides left and right movement, but also height over the net.

    every single time daniil makes the cross backhand coming forward, with pace and angle. Lethal strong point, Players should avoid any drop shot on his backhand side if they are not 100% sure to make the point on it.

    • @LiamApilado
      @LiamApilado  2 года назад +3

      That's exactly what I noticed. Such consistancy and pace he can return dropshots as an offensive ball. With his incredible movent around the court, you need to play dropshots to perfection against Medvedev.

    Evans and Med seem to be good friends. They practiced together and joke around at Indian Wells last year. Medvedev hit many drop shots that Evans got so tired at the end of the practice and complained to Medvedev 😆

    Der Medvedev ist schon wirklich stark, keine Frage, vermutlich hätte er ohne die Publikumsgunst für Nadal das Finale gewonnen. Daran muss er vielleicht noch am meisten arbeiten: Wie er rüberkommt bei den Leuten. Hat das mit dem Sport was zu tun ? Ich hab da eigentlich noch keine wirklich feste Meinung. Bin da offen..... Evens ist momentan einer der konsistent Guten, er bewegt sich wirklich erstklassig, ein würdiger Kontrahent der Nummer 2..... Lob für die tollen Bilder, danke Liam.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Medvevdev uses the crowd thats against him to eenergize him but can also have a negative impact as you say. It's hard to tell if the crowd has more of a negative or positive impact on Medvedev. Either way, these different characters and personalities is what I believe tennis needs to be more entertaining.

    Messi’s shots are so flat and effortlessly powerful. Not that he hits that hard but it barely looks like he hits through the ball yet a lot of winners.

      Yeah they didn't count the score right and swapped sides when Medvedev missed in the net so I didn't know what score I should put.

    Who's got the better backhand: Medvedev or Zverev?

    • @LiamApilado
      @LiamApilado  2 года назад +6

      In my opinion, Medvevdev.
      Zverev has a better backhand technically speaking, but somehow medvedev with his obscure backhand makes alot of balls in and deep in the court.

    • @LiamApilado
      @LiamApilado  2 года назад +4

      Thanks. It may look that way because the video has no motion blur but it isn't sped up at all.
      I shoot with a high shutter speed because of the light but also so you can pause the video and look at their technique without any blurriness.

    who else here to analyse Evans' gameplay ? and not Medvedev's

  • @thiagobadin5331
    @thiagobadin5331 2 года назад +4

    evans didn't use one handed back hand much this set. If the ball came to his back hand he would slice almost 100% of the time. If you keep slicing you just don't win the raly against someone like medvedev. If you don't hit winners you will lose to him 100%. You can notice that almost all evans points were serve&voley or for hand + go to the net. In other words, Medvedev knows that his back hand sucks/evans has no confidence at the shot so he kept throwing the ball at it. If it were a real match that would have been the same strategy. One handed back hands are gorgeous, but a worse shot than the 2H back hand overall imo. 2hbh has just more consistency, have an easier time with low and high balls. All the the 1Hbh has going for it is his cross cort angle and that it is cool.
