This Lakewood has been through it all. Extreme temperature changes, humidity, rain, neglect. It's in very rough shape with rust and whatnot, the grilles perished because of the UV from the sun. It came to me with broken grilles and a missing cord. I was about ready to throw it out after about 6 or 7 years of non-use, but I hate throwing out anything that still might work or has working parts that might be good in some other project. I decided one last time to see if it still worked, and it did. Then I realized it would have a good home in the garage, and there it stays, hanging off 2 drywall screws.
I have NEVER oiled this fan in the 10+ years I've owned it, and I highly doubt the original owner(s) ever did either. As evidenced in this video, it doesn't even appear it needs any oil to this day. That, ladies and gentlemen, is the mark of QUALITY.
These old Lakewoods FAENS are like a Timex; It takes a licking but keeps on ticking.
A current gen Lasko 3733, if found in the same as found condition probably could work, but not for 10 years.
I'll bet this FAEN will be around for many years to come. Just like anything else, they used to know how to make stuff good, but then Corporate American Greed took over.
lol @ the old CPAP hoses
You never know when they can come in handy. They work great on my bathroom faucet to convey water into a bucket.
@@jaykay18 I keep some around as well :D
Not the Jergins!
Oh yes, and those fan twerps need all the Jergens they can get. Otherwise they'll need the Ultra Healing version!
O yeah, It's time, the FAANNNNN
Settle down, Beavis!
It's a hilarious video.
Thank you!
@@jaykay18 you're welcome
