I am doing the Lion King Jr. for a new theater in my town. They were originally in California but they moved to my state. This is their first production here and I got adult Simba. While, sadly, they didn't have Endless Night in the script, and I don't have a solo song,I am fine with it. We are doing 4 performances in 2 and a half weeks now. I am watching this for suggestions for how to act as Simba, and I didn't expect how good this would be. I have watched this many times for my own entertainment. I am glad this exists!
I have auditions in a few weeks for the lion king jr!!!! I really want Timon, Shenzie, Or young Nala! Also, the kid who played pumbaa had me laughing so hard. His comedic timing was literally perfect. 💛💛💛
My favorite character is Mufasa because he teaches his son Simba a lesson about the great Circle of Life and the Great Kings of the Past, along with encouraging him to remember who he is. And another thing, Scar is my least favorite character because he expresses rudeness to Zazu, shows disrespect to the great Circle of Life, consciously betrays Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, the hyena clan and his older brother Mufasa and tells his young nephew Simba and the Pridelanders a lie about the death of Simba and Mufasa.
At 18:10, Mufasa was being commanding because he furiously said, "Silence!" to those slobbering mangy stupid poachers. Just like me, I furiously say, "Silence!" to my pet dogs at my mother and my stepfather's house every day of the week.
The girl who played Rafiki deserves to be on Broadway. She was absolutely FANTASTIC!!
