Hi Joel. Thanks for that - was good and informative to listen to. I have a 1990 prostar 200 (outboard) and it's actually got quite a nice wake but is a handful to drive in the course. Of course, I wouldn't expect it to be as nice as a modern inboard but have you had any experience with people making adjustments to boats like these to get them tracking a little better? E.g. 5 bladed prop (rather than 3), trim tabs on the back. It still has cable steering - so I would expect that hydraulic would probably make quite a difference. Cheers, Trav.
Personally, I feel like it lifts the boat up and makes it harder to keep in the center of the course. I’m driving a 97 ski Nautique, no more than 1/2 tank of gas. We just put 200lbs in the front and it tracks better. We need the Bimini or the steering wheel is too hot to touch!

Why do you say a Bimini is an enemy of good boat driving?
