I am 60 years old.... have never had the nerve to cross the wake on edge. I have never had anybody instruct me how to do it. Been afraid I would get hurt and the older I get the longer it takes to recover. This video answers some questions such as being more erect while crossing the wake and trying to keep more weight on the front of the ski. I live in Kentucky but not aware of any ski schools here.
