Tinfoil Phonograph with less surface noise

- I used a polished paper clip for a stylus and a very thin mica diaphragm covered with a thinner clear adhesive plastic. It's not quite as distinct as I'd like, but there's less surface noise.

I laughed so much XD
" Mary had a little lamb ! "
Tomas Edison do that to
Mary had a little lamb, she was starving...
That were the words of Edison when he tried that for first time😁
Jesus is the only way. We have all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins that may seem small in our eyes are big in God's and are worthy of Hell, such as lying lusting and stealing. But if we repent and trust only in Jesus, he is faithful and will save us from Hell and give us eternal life in Heaven. Trust in Jesus!
John 3:16
Romans 6:23❤😊❤
The first ever recorded voice that has been preserved dates from 1860 and vas done by french Edouard-Leon Scott de Martinville.
20 years before Edison.
As I remember, the record was made by phonautograph. Then were no way to play back these records mechanically.

Wow I love it. The past to the future, great job and thank you for sharing.
That is really cool. I always wondered what the tinfoil sounded like

Absolutely nothing to do with tinfoil @@christianweatherbroadcasti3491
I have real tinfoil, but I basically use heavy duty Reynolds because the Realton foil is a little thicker and doesn't work with my phonograph the way it is set up right now.
It sounds great. A large speaker horn put into the small one would sound even better. BTW My Godfather's name is Wolff (form NY and with 2 FFs. Cool name :-)
One of the smaller phonographs I've seen, still pretty cool
Yes, I have used other materials for the diaphragm and Needle. I need to get back to it and try some other things. I also do use three in one oil on the foil. Thank you for your comment.
incredible, thank you!
Thats classic!! Thanks for posting!
That is awesome.
The ultra vintage brand new ultra Lo-fi.
Excellent work - lets get Mary Had a Little Lamb back into the top 40.
You'll hear it on the "Late night cylinder show" :)
Fascinating!
best mic ever made
That's great good work!
Thank you. It's so simple it could have been invented a thousand years ago. That's what's so fascinating to me.
what did you use to hold the needle in place?
I tried wrapping a foil sheet around a record, and placing it under the stylus i don't have a recording needle, just a reproducer. Will this work?
wow . btw that yelling to imprint the voice is so funny - would scare many around !
Amazing!
I don't have plans, Kristina. The biggest challenge is the threaded cylinder, threaded to the same exact grooves per inch as the treaded bolt. Mine is made out of PVC pipe. I made the rest of the phonograph out of wood, though the uprights are laminated with nuts in the middle for the bolt. The sound box has a thin mica diaphragm. You can test various materials. I belt the paperclip and sanded the end point. I put a small rubber tube between the diaphragm and the paperclip needle.
Wow😮 amazing it was working💖
Well, that’s very cool!❤
I know Edison used thus rhyme to record his voice for the first time, but if I see another video of a phonograph demonstrator using the same inane piece I think I'll have a nervoius breakdown. FFS!
Awesome ❤
Awesome.
0:14 I can't be the only one that hears Abe Simpson
Cool Friend!
enjoyable!
Now I want to shout like Larry Middleman onto tinfoil!!!
I've never seen a video yet that records something that is not mary had a little lamb, there's literally infinite amount of things you can say on it :/
@ a Lego man they're just repeating what Thomas Edison spoke into his first phonograph.
Amazingg
great job Michael that's really cool. your so talented I really enjoy seeing all the gifts and talents that Yeshua has given you.
en aluminio ?
Super Eigenbau, die Wiedergabe ist besser als auf meiem Parlograph. Siehe auf meinem Kanal. Auf welches Medium zeichnest Du auf?
Nice
right on
Yo I can hear it it’s impressve
I meant bent, not belt
good
does it matter, if you use tin foil or aluminium foil?
Sorry for the long delay. I use heavy duty aluminum foil
Bagus skali
The original recordings when new were much clearer
meet my microphone
Jesus XD
Well at least *someone* cares about Hi Fi in these days of mp3 sh*t..... ;o)
The sound is very low
Probably because he didn't use a horn
wow, i watched another man did this and he even read the same texts lol
Yoni sent me
Heavy duty aluminum foil works. Tin foil is hard to find.
turn the knob in the opposite direction and see what happens
you forgot to say ‘Haa.. Haa.. Haa’😆
Anyone else think he sounds like Abe Simpson?
My thoughts exactly
Not going to lie, you sounded like Grandpa from the simpsons.
Mary lamb coping edision.
Use a bigger horn for playback.

You dont have to say the same thing that edison said you could say something different 😂
شي يصلح يكون كامرا خفية ...هههههههه
😂 what why must saying that
Wax has better quality.
Very close is the return of Jesus Christ the only Savior
And this is eternal life: that they may know the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3 So those who gladly received his word were baptized; and on that day nearly three thousand souls were added. Acts 2:41 Look, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time will come.
Mark 13:33
He sounded like he was sick for 10 seconds
