Modders already did it on PC. Star Wars Battlefront 3 Legacy. Consumers are dumb. Begging shitty woke companies to milk their man tits for a 20 year old game. All they did was turn on the servers temporarily to milk them. Literally no new features but you praise Sony and Woke Lucasarts for reselling you the same game that still exists on private servers.
If they do that it will be amazing.

My friend has this on his PS2 and I had the Demo Disc from the bonus features, played for hours during sleepovers. Now I can play this with online connection and experience the way it was meant to be played!! See you at the command post!!

All i want is for them to put first person mode from the first game and put it in the 2nd. Vary disappointing that 2 was worse in that category.
05:35 If it doesn't have online Galactic Conquest on Playstation 4 and 5 you can use the Share Play function and you can play the game online as if you were playing local co-op. Helpful trick incase true online isn't an option.

As someone who has become a father in the last decade not only am I super stoked but my 10 year old son is super stoked about this. Nothing makes me prouder as a dad than knowing that I get to relive part of my childhood with him.
I played the Xbox version with My now 8 year old son on a modded Xbox 4 years ago during lockdown in my country he loved it can't wait to play this version with him again. The original still holds up

If it is compatible with mods, I can almost guarantee that it will be exclusive to the Steam version. Everyone getting their hopes up for mods on console is going to be disappointed

PC uses Steams workshop for mods and other third party sources.

Now that battlefront is coming back, a bunch of SW Battlefront RUclipsrs have already come out of hiatus. This is definitely gonna get Disney's attention and have EA make battlefront 3, hopefully.

Dear younger crowd, you may find this game doesn’t have battle royal or super modern features. But, give it a chance. There is a reason why these games are so revered by the old guard. They are classics and amazing games. I really hope you play and can enjoy them as much as we did. We didn’t have the option of playing 100 different games. I had maybe 10 at my disposal and I just played this over and over and over again. I can’t wait to play online and get mad that I am not as good against ai as I am against real players. No, that isn’t sarcasm. I legit can’t wait. Happy star wars to all and to all a star wars night.

I understand the question of "will there be DLC in the future?" But for those who haven't played before and will be playing for the first time in a few weeks, you'll see how much is PACKED IN already. Not to mention that there are two games. It's a throwback to when you payed for a game and... Well.... you got the full game and didn't have to wait for later DLC to get your money's worth

You can via local co-op. It's always been compatible with split screen multiplayer. It's online that it isn't
If it’s not possible worst case, people on PC could do steam remote play or modders could figure out a way

@@leorojas6390 don't know why my first response was deleted but just to let you know. Mod io is similar to bethesda net in consoles for fallout 4 and skyrim, it's an in-game mod browser. Also, performance is no longer an issue for this very old game. OG xbox and ps4 can handle gta 5 and red dead redemption smoothly, pretty sure this game would be like a swiss cheese

This was a game that I bonded with my little brothers as they would watch me play and eventually play the game later on themselves. Almost 10 years gap between me and them and I look forward to playing online with them.

It's great for consoles but for people who play on PC with mods its just not worth it I feel. It is cool they are bringing multiplayer though.

The download is like 60 gigs, which is not the size of the original games. Its likely we are getting better textures too

@@cosmicusstardust3300 if you look at the trailer and pause at certain points, they definitely uprise the textures extremely or something at least because they’re really clear than usual, especially the floor textures there’s no way they could look that clear on a PS2 and not catch it on fire😂
It's because of the textures. Lack of optimization doesn't take 45gigs, high rez textures do.
I remember renting SW Battlefront for PS2 from Blockbuster.. I didn’t own a PlayStation 2 back then, but I brought it over to a friend’s house and we enjoyed that weekend very much! I can’t wait to have the SW community jump in together, new and old!

9:48 Battlefront 3 would be a job for EA Dice and unfortunately they are extremely busy saving Battlefield. As much as I'd love to see BF3, it's not gonna happen in the next few years.
I hope it’s not a requirement to have an internet connection to play. Playing against bots is how I played with my brothers growing up so that would be cool to do again. I hope there’s crossplay as well. I’m on Xbox but one brother plays on ps5 and the other on pc. A physical edition would also be pretty nice considering there’s the heritage pack for switch so it’s definitely possible

The offline features confirmed is campaing and galactic conquest, there has been no mention of instant action but i see no reason why it wouldnt be included, this is not a full remaster, just a port meaning it should include all original features.

Those Battlefront II bonus maps are some of my favorite maps from Battlefront 1! I wish they would also include Bespin Platforms. I really like that one in BF1

OH MY GOD, I totally missed the Battlefront 3 mod port! YIKES! This is going to be a LOT better than the simulations!
And if they decide to add DLC and new content - I'd pay for it to support the idea of a new Battlefront 3 - that would be great!
This is great for console players but it feels like a scam for PC. Even if we ignore that this is being made with stolen mods (Kit Fisto’s model is clearly from an outdated version of a PC mod and not the actual model from the Xbox DLC, which the updated version of the mod has now lol). But there’s nothing in this that isn’t already available as mods.
Please give us cross-plat!!! I tried playing the original games today, but with only 300 players online only one server in my region had players so i could only play one game mode with no hero's. funny that Classic battlefront has only 300 less players than the newer BF2 game

I literally just bought both games on the Xbox store a few weeks ago for 4.99 apiece. Both run FANTASTIC and look tremendous on the XSX, both come with all the DLC, as this collection does, and both have almost non-existent load times. I just can’t imagine there’s going to be much difference (apart from online play, which I don’t do) between the 2 games I got for 5 dollars each, vs this new bundle they’re selling for 35 dollars…

So the servers will open only for the Collection and will not be reachable from the original via backward compatibility?
@@Dr.Octavius it will only be through the collection to play online, there is one expectation that I forgot and that is the OG pc battlefront 2 does have servers up but for whatever reason when I try to join one it just kicks me out instantly.
Two things here. One, Hero Assault is coming to all ground maps. Also, it is getting remastered. So all textures are getting bumped up to 4K and it will run natively at 60fps. I own the same versions as you since they were originally free games with gold when they released. I'll definitely be picking this up for just the upgrades alone. If you prefer to play the older release for nostalgia though, go on ahead. One thing that I hate about the existing release is the dlc is riddled with bugs. I'm hoping they actually fixed that here
I would like for them to have atleast updated it with ps3 graphics, that way it would have a more modernized look without driving weaker systems crazy like the switch

I played it on PS2. Currently the online is actually fun on PC but the servers are laggy af & some are cheating.
Just be glad it has servers again. When game spy died in 2014 nobody was expecting to ever see official servers for the game ever again
Only thing I didn't to do as a kid with these games Is play online? I could play the single player and I could play sweat screen but not online.
PlayStation just added Star Wars Dark forces Remastered on PS5 it’s so good and new trophies is well
28 years old and I'm so stoked to play this online with my best friend. We used to play galactic conquest all day as kids! It will be a damn shame if we can't do it online but at least we will have the other modes online :D

I played this so much as a kid and even still now, but always against AI and I've never played multiplayer. I wonder what Galactic Conquest would be like if you actually need strategy in what you buy! That sounds fun haha 😂

I'm curious on how multiplayer will work. I've never seen it on the og Xbox and only tired a little on pc which I know is different. I wonder if it's like MCC were you choose your game and game types then get thrown into a lobby with those parameters, or if everything is just random. Also will we be able to party up with friends? I really hope a physical version comes out, I mean I'm getting it on digital but it would be cool to have it physical just in case. Also I really hope they can get cross play on this. I think they denied it, but I think it will help the game tremendously
These and battlefront 3 have been asked for, for years! Finally they opened their eyes and realized that there is a market for these titles. My biggest hope is that they see a boom in players and start to throw the BF3 idea back into the mix. I mean hell, wasn't it almost finished?? Just polish it up and release it and watch how many copies you sell, hard copies and virtual. It's not a hard thing to do. Just get aspyr to back it up like they did here and boom, that company earns a profit, they gain even more customers, and the fans are happy.
I was wondering that about the PSP titles too! It would be cool to see them on the PS Store/ PS Plus. Granted that I have been replaying them on the PS Vita through backwards compatability on that handheld system, I would like to be able to just play them on my PS4. I also am like you where I did not play online during the height of the originals. I would just play split screen with my friends. I had the PS2 version and they had the Xbox version. I really hope they do cross play between all the systems that way I can play with my friend again. I bought the PC version on GOG a few years back just so I could play online and see how it was.
My biggest question is if there is going to be a party system or a way to invite and play with friends. It worries me since this feature is not mentioned anywhere
It probabbly wont happen, but what would make this epic tier is finding a way to port renegade and elite squadrons maps etc into the game as dlc. Im happy as it is nut one can hope.
I really hope galactic conquest will be able to be played online. My buddy and I used to play that mode all of the time and now that we moved away from eachother it would be great to see if we could play together again in this game

I just want the ability to play classic BF's rendition of every Star Wars character. Legends and canon.
Not only am i excited for this, but i hope this shines a lot, and i mean a lot of light on the Battlefront franchise as a whole. Hopefully, this encourages a developer to make a proper Battlefront 3.
I'm more excited about the idea of "retro DLC"; imagine this complementing other classic games like SSX 3 and LotR Return of the King if they were to be remastered.
I hope it is so popular they make a 3rd just like the classic ones i like the new ones dont get me wrong but something about a simple but fun game where i don't gotta worry about battle points can just hop on pick a spawn and blast till I die
