    Maybe you should update the Starcraft photos. I have purchased a 2023 one and couldn't find the fiber cut or bad finishing. The rivets are the same as the photos display, but the finishing seems to be away more polished and well done than what this photo is showing for sure. The cocking is also something I couldn't see as your photo shows.

    It's a little thing. But that's what we're talking about; my new Chaparral SSI has an arm rest at the helm. We have 20 hours on it, and it's a great boat for the money. Still not cheap though. Having a great time with it.

    Very well detailed sir, and my concern is that the builders should polished up the issues you raise before putting them in the market,. I'm from Papua New Guinea and i am really interested in the product and my concern is our conditions here in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea, I think they will be a problem with our coastal sea pressure.thank you and God bless...

    Captain Matt, really liked your thorough review. I took delivery of a new Monterey 224FS in July 2021 and am very happy with it so far. By the way, Campion has named its Muskoka models after one of Canada’s premier boating and recreation areas. Muskoka is located about two hours north of Toronto and has four larger lakes (Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph and Lake of Bays) plus hundreds of smaller lakes as well as access to Georgian Bay (Lake Huron) on its western edge. It’s pronounced “Muh-SKOKE-ah”. You should plan to visit sometime!

    Spot on on Sea Ray and Formula! Had a Sea Ray you could tell a difference , Formula just a different weight class - better materials, built like a tank, nothing rattles even in rough water / waves, thicker gelcoat and feels much more solid. Sea Ray - cheaper materials, some shortcuts and not as solid in rough waters (they use to many screws everywhere that would come off from time to time). I own a 310 formula and it's an awesome and exciting performing and luxury boat!

    Chaparral 21 SSI owner, and overall we r happy with it. $65,500 OTD which is not bad all in. A few little issues so far, cover on tower has a few little small holes, and some sloppy sealant below where the extended swim platform joins. The Chaparral's come with the trailer with their " One price for all" Also, they do use "Seadek" flooring.

      Same. I got a 2022 at 2021 pricing so I made out like a bandit when I got mine. 50,500 out the door with basically every option except seagrass floor instead of sea deck and I didn’t upgrade the trailer wheels. The underneath of the swim platform is a hot mess and my extended platform bracket isn’t flush with the back of the boat and has a 1/4in gap on one side

    Very nice review and thank you. Here are my actual technical hands on review of four of the 21 foot boats. Regal, Chaparral, Four Winns, and Sea Ray SPX 210 at an in water boat show which were all around the same price. So on the water and dealer input here is what I found when I went to trade in my Four Winns 235 Sundowner, which by the way lasted 30 years with no issues. The Regal has that cut or carve out in its hull which may be ok on their cruisers but creates a terrible choppy ride in their bow riders. The Chap is known as Choppy as it too does not ride as well as the Sea Ray SPX which of the 3 rode the smoothest. There definitely is a noticeable difference. I did not drive the Four Winns however I did not like it or the Regal or Chap layout or fit and finish compared to the SPX 210. I recall the Four Winns and Chap are 8 foot 4 inch beams while the Sea Ray is 8 foot 6 inches and like none of the other boats that wide beam goes all the way to the windshield. So the boat cockpit is bigger an the bow seating is a lot bigger than the other 3 due to it's round front vs a V set up. By the way it's hull is made the exact same way as the upgraded SLX according to the magazine Boating. So when you walk through the boats and sit in them you immediately see how the layouts lead you back to the Sea Ray. I also read the fine print and found the 5 Year Sea Ray warranty to be better. I was bound and determined I was going to buy another Four Winns however the SPX was heads above in all aspects especially with it's very long stretched 8 foot 6 inch beam which is probably why it rides better. Hope your review and this will help inform new buyers. Like buying a car they all drive different with features and that is why you test drive before you buy and so for the price of these boats you need to do the same and see how they ride and handle for you. So in the end all 4 boats are very good and it all comes down to what fits you. For me that long 8.6 beam made all the difference because as we know inches in a boat make a huge difference. Lastly all
    21 foot boats are not measured the same. The SPX gives you more than 21 feet while not all of the others may so take your tape measure and you will see for yourself.

    We bought a Glastron GT 205 2022 model, since discontinued, glad we got one of the last ones as the replacement GX 215 is significantly more expensive and only six inches longer. We could not be happier. Looked at models from other makers, most could not match the utility of the Glastron in a 20' model. Bows in most boats of that size are cramped. Glastron seating is efficient. Quality is just fine. If you want to pay 1/3 more or more than that to move up, great. It is a lot like choosing to buy a Land Rover over a Subaru. If you have the money great but I doubt anybody is having more fun riding in a Regal or Cobalt than a Glastron.

    • @bradengelmann6608
      @bradengelmann6608 Год назад

      I would also add that it would be nice to have Captain Matt inspect Glastrons in person. Don't they sell more boats than anyone? I don't remember but it would seem worth making a road trip to a Glastron dealer or find a show with them present.

      @@chadhenricksen1111 Awesome! To be clear I mean no offense to anyone who has a premium brand model. The fit and finish is definitely fancier in many cases, the upholstery fancier, the materials of higher quality generally speaking. At the same time, the quality of our boat is more than sufficient. We went to boat shows for years and had a Stingray before our new Glastron. Our Stingray was underpowered from day one but our family was first time buyers so we didn't know better. It was also small but for a 1988 boat, that was a common size then. We are thrilled with the Glastron. Again I hope Captain Matt gets out to find Glastrons and does a deep dive so we can see more in future videos because I think they make a great boat. Actually how awesome would it be if Captain Matt did a video on all current manufacturers?

      I'm sure they hand-lay some of their fiberglass; almost everyone does at some point in their lamination schedule. however, I don't know Robalo's specific schedule. With that said, pound on the hull of a similar size Grady and then on a Robalo and you'll hear the Grady is more solid for sure
