Beautiful. Thanks!

nice work
For those who copy the raw data, just know you will have to clean up the raw data. This is good practice. That way when you import into Tableau it will work correctly.
Please, how do I copy the raw file into a useable sheet?
how to do this?
yea dude fucking found out and the end of the process that there were nulls and some guys' name in movie type
@@temitayoakins3961 copy and paste the raw file into an excel file. From there you have to clean it up with delimiters. You got change the parameters of each column after that. If you don't do this, it won't work with tableau.

Thank youu sanjeev k!
When I'm dragging 'Date Added' in columns section, it is not grouped as year, it shows individual dates. What to do?r
Hi, please convert the field to date first
Cool
16:35 can you explain this part? how did you get single type like movie in the "type" box? im getting multiples values inside the "type" box
Hello! For the filter you select 'select single value' instead of multiple values, you need to customize your filter :)
Thanks a lot for the video.
I am facing problem in first sheet. When you add Date Added to column Year functon comes on its own.How does that happen?? Please explain
The thing is that we need to first change the data type to date and select Year :)
all good, voice is too low.
what does country mean? is it the country of origin of the movie, director, or casts? because there is a lot of country in other tv shows and movies
Hi great video and thanks for this amazing walkthrough and sharing.
And man I have a question, when I import the file to tableu, in types appear Movies, TV shows and William Wyler, how I can eliminate that name? can you help me pls???
Thank you! Actually, you can check the column of the types and remove the third name from the dataset that you copied from GitHub, you need to do some data cleaning in this case :)
Hi! Thankyou very much for this tutorial, I have learnt a lot :). I do have one question about the dashboard.
I create dashboard and add action whereby when i click on different region, it will show the corresponding ratings, distribution, top 10 genres and total movies & tv shows by years according to the region i select.
However the 'top 10 genres' chart would only show 7 genres when i click on united states region, 4 genres for Australia, 9 genres for India, and same issue for other regions. May I know what could be the reason for this?
the setting for dashboard -> action -> 'Edit filter Action' is run action on select, clearing the selection will show all values.
source sheets : Total movies and Tv shows by country
target sheets : the 5 corresponding sheets ( ratings, top 10 genres, etc)
Hello @Bunny31, thank you for the comment, the reason for this is that for the countries selected, this is the only information available in the dataset, it is not an issue regarding the dashboard or the filters!
@@DataScienceRoadMap but if i do change the filter to show the top 15 instead of 10 (at the top 10 genre worksheet) it actually shows more! so I'm pretty confused.
Australia from 4 genre become 6 genres
US from 7 become 9
India from 9 become 14
@@SwanBaby31 aah ok so you have added the country filter in the top 10 genre worksheet? Well since we want top N ... You should right click on the country filter that you have added and click on add to context, normally it should work
@@DataScienceRoadMap I added the country filter with setting "select from list", i have right click on the country filter and click on added to context. but nothing changed :(
@@SwanBaby31 I created the filter using the action and I found the issue! You see, when you create your action filter, you give it a name, in my case I name it "filter 1". Once you will apply it on the worksheets and among those you have the worksheet of the top 10 genre, you go to that worksheet, you will find in the filters a new filter called Action(Country) and you add it to the context
How di you clean the data? There are so many blank cells in the sheet. Or you created the dashboard without cleaning excel data?
Actually yes I used the file directly since it was ready and there are some missing data but it is the only information available and it is enough to create the dashboard :)
how to take only year in date added
This gave me inspiration to create my first data Viz. Thank you!! Any chance you have a tableau public acc? Would love to give it a follow :)
Thanks, no I don't have a Tableau public acc
Please explain how to download that raw file in our desktop... it's difficult for beginners..
Link to download the dataset(Steps to download the file: when you click on download, you can see the raw data, you can select all, copy and paste than into a CSV file or text file within your local working directory.) : github.com/DataScienceRoadMapDSRM/Tableau-Dashboards-info/blob/main/netflix_titles.csv
How should we decide which values we should take to make the dash board
If you follow from the beginning to the end, most fields will be used
Hi, thanks for this. quick one pls. The Added date from yours excluded the dates completely and just the years were projected on the visualization. I am not achieving that in mine. Kindly explain how I can change that. Thanks
Hi, once you select your date, you can choose 'year' if yo want only years, and 'exact date' if you want the date displayed as it is, normally this will work :)
@@DataScienceRoadMap Thanks 😘
@@DataScienceRoadMaphow to do that kindly reply cuz this is my first visualisation 🙂
Amazing video!! How do you put a good summary of this project to put it in your resume??
Thanks a lot Miguel! Yes, you can write end to end data analysis project using tableau : Netflix case study - The aim of this project is to build a tableau dashboard from scratch using Netflix movies and tv shows dataset. A map, bar charts, area chart, bubble chart, text sheets with filters are used to provide a detailed analysis for the end user :)
Thanks!!!
hi i saw your Kaggle for this dashboard do you have videos on how you did data cleaning for this data set.
Hello, I actually used the dataset directly for the analysis using Tableau but if you want to learn the steps for data cleaning, data visualization and exploratory data analysis, I will publish a new video this week about a kaggle dataset using Python for an end-to-end data science project!
@@DataScienceRoadMap superb thanks
@@samikshawasrani1607 Hi, Can you share the dashboard directly in tableau? Thanks
@Teja You can simply right click on the "Date added" column and change the data type to DATE & TIME in tableau itself.
@@jusswow Hi, how about for show id
In the map sheet, total movies &tv shows, the count is not visible when I move the mouse cursor. What is the reason behind it? Pls help.
Hello, I did not understand the issue, did you create an action filter?
You really made it very east
hi, i have a problem, when I try to drag CNTD to label he do something (I don't know what) but it's all confuse the CNTD doesn't appear to me twice in the marks it's the not the same as in the video, how can I fix this?
Hi Lorenzo, date_added data type should be converted to date, then select YEAR(date_added), normally it should work :)
@@DataScienceRoadMap it does not automatically convert, what to do?
Thanks for your amazing project, sir. Awesome!
But the "Total movies & TV shows by country" sheet may not consistent with your dataset,
ex. China's number should be 120, rather 50 shown in your video.
I get the number 120 not only in Excel but also python, but I don't know how to
show this number in Tableau...Could you help me with this problem?
Thanks again, sir! Wish you the best of luck!
If you add an action filter for example in the dashboard, you should select 'add that filter in context ' for the corresponding worksheet so that it will be applied correctly
Could you please tell me how can I create a portforlio using these kind of dashbords ? What services/sites should I use to make a Data Analyst/Science portfolio?
