For the hotspot on the forehead, if you really wanted certain light set ups and it’s still a hotspot, it may just be an easy fix with a skin gel. Promatte mattifying gel. Or if its just an oily part of the skin try a skin wipe for oily skin, but the best bet is probably the mattifying gel, I saw it in meet the gaffer episode 198

Other than that maybe use a small flag on the side of the hotspot to act as negative fill to 1)kill the hotspot and 2)get a little more depth so its a win win

@@snickernick3651 That what I actually wanted to do after reviewing that footage. I do not own flags/nets yet :D, but I have some chiffon rags I can put on the 2x2 (or 6x6) to cover the part of it which is responsible for the hotspot :D

I have to check it out and also skin wipes (I think @PDMokry recommended some).
Although I prefer the modifier approach, so the flag/neg approach. I'm not a makeup guy 😅😅😅

@@JoATTech it’s not considered make up really. The oil wipes are just a wipe to take out oil aha. And the matte gel is just a gel . Treat yourself like a client that you’re trying to make look your best on camera

Are you doing any color correction or exposure correction in post? Just want to understand if you had to do any post

Zero exposure correction to show how the exposure looks like straight from the camera for each setup (ND strength and light power).
For the colors, since it's shot in SLOG3 I just used Color Space Transform in Davinci Resolve to convert SLOG3 to REC709. That's it. No other color corrections. Also to showcase how this looks like straight from the camera.
Or course you can use your favourite conversion LUT or conversion software (like Dehancer or FilmConvert), but the look will be different.
