Two guitarists Ali and Görkem are very very talented musicians. In early 2000s rock music was very popular in Turkey and they used to in a band called "Çilekeş" and also now Ali is the frontman of a spaghetti western-psychedelic anatolian funk band called "Lalalar". Check these out you won't regret it.

Check out the band Cilekes. The band fronted by the Gaye su akyol's Bassist-Keyboardist Görkem Karabudak as the lead singer and the guitarist on this video(Ali) as their guitarist. They like the best 2000's rock band of Turkiye. Sadly they're not making music anymore since 2011. Check out "Kendimden Geriye", "Sorma", "Y.O.K","Siyah" and "Pervazda Tatil" also featuring Sebnem Ferah ( like the best female Rock-Metal Singer of Turkiye)

@@manyatikrozenans biliyorum evet, ama altın gün Türkçe müzik yapan bir grup sadece, teknik ekip komple dutch zaten , Merve hariç hepsi Hollanda vatandaşı , bir tane İngiliz vardı gitarist o da gitti . Merve'nin de vatandaşlık alma zamanı gelmiştir diye düşünüyorum zira eşi de Hollandalı diye biliyorum.

OOH! I saw Gaye Su Akyol in a tiny festival in an island in Spain some years ago and fell totally in love with them... great live. Love the turkish psicodelia, Amazing musicians.... Thanks for this great music 😍

@@aceberganabolic Aside from some background oohs and aahs from Laura Lee, they are mainly an instrumental trio, so they'd have no issues. I was mainly thinking this might inspire them for their own ideas.

For all of us who follow and adore this woman, this feels like Christmas coming early this year. Also, EVERYONE should check out Lalalar, the band fronted by her partner and guitarist Ali. They are fkn badass and have lots of bangers lined up. A modern, electronic and exciting twist on anatolian sound. I saw them live in Belgrade, they blew the roof off the venue, I almost broke my neck headbanging.

Been listening since the first album and loved every moment of this.
Even though it's a studio recording, even on a $20 pair of headphones, the recording sounds perfect. I can hear the layers of all the instruments and vocals separately, and it's mixed very well. Kexp should definitely release a separate album with the artists they have included in their releases. and there is nothing to say about the performance of Gaye Su Akyol, the queen of performance. She has been great for years.
always impressed with the KEXP mixes, many times these recordings sound far better than the artists actual album. Lots of respect to the engineer,

People who are following you since the first album are now proudfully in tears. The performance, the style, the band, the sound they are all so powerful. You carry with your voice something related to deep emotions that awaken sort of a core inside, connected to the root of oneself. It is not exclusively about the lyrics as here many people who don't know turkish have the same feeling. This is precious, as voice carries the frequency, the energy that trembles in body, mind and soul, you are like magicians in a way. We love you and thank you keep on your amazing rezonance.

This genre of music in general is awesome, and vast! Gaye Su Akyor is definitely one of the greats in this genre, and I loved the performance here.
