Thrawn actually did meet Anakin once before; during the final years of the Clone Wars. In fact, Anakin's account of him is something that helped to grease the wheels when Thrawn met Palpatine for the first time and joined the Imperial Navy.

Xiono clearly was P!$$€D about her doing that as he is basically doing what the rank and file in the Empire(like Admiral Konstantine) did....underestimate the prospective enemies. I have NO COMPLAINTS about Eman as Ezra. He has vocal inflections and mannerisms down. Thrawn is CRAZY scary when he's playing chess
