asking a 25 Roll against GTR was a bad idea. even from 25 Roll the GTR still has the AWD advantage, 60 is the best Roll for the Vette.

Raced my friends fbo 13 GTR on E85 and I’m fbo manual on 93 that dynoed 650. From a 45 we are neck and neck until I shift then he gets out about 1/4 car. Start of race I jump out by a fender from second. Either that vettes tune is fked up or that GTR is low ballin
Or maybe your gtr friend has a less aggressive tune than this one

@@AutoGlory "not bad" in my books means the other car is keeping up or is close to the rear bumper atleast. The way the vette got gapped is no where near "not bad".

I've found out some people don't like the loud chop lol. A buddy has a ZL1 and C7 Z06 with the same mods; Maggy2650, LT headers, X pipe, Meth injection and CAI and he's getting a custom cam made for 32% more fuel but same sound. As per my buddy, the ZL! dynoed at 845wph and the Z06 dynoed at 810whp.

Z06 isnt running too well. Should have done much better from a 40 roll
He might’ve been in 1st gear lol. Sounded like he was really high in the rpm’s and shifted as soon as they started

Assuming traction isn't an issue, GTR pulls initially, Z pulls him back and starts to creep past...until the Z hit the aero wall from that C7 wing and the GTR starts to creep at the top. 🍿

I’ve been a Mustang guy through and through and I decided to jump ship one time and I bought a C7 Z06 and owned it about eight months ago for a few months. Those cars are extremely disappointing, especially with all the hype they received when they came out. It was weird because you’ll be hard pressed to find a GT 500 or supercharged/turbo coyote car that doesn’t perform well but all over the Internet you see the Corvette getting slapped around left and right. I think what made them kind of shitty is that eight speed automatic and also the weight. The Z06 was known to be a light weight car and when the C7 came out they added a lot of LB’s. There were also a lot of drivability things I hated about the car and fitment issues regarding the fender hitting the door when u open it which is a common problem. Fortunately I sold it and made some money then I turned around and bought a 2020 GT 500 which is the car I should’ve bought all along. That car is head and shoulders above a C7 Z06. Those things are garbage.
Yeh porches and gtr always punch well above their weight, no way that 600+ whp vett making 600+ was going to spank that gtr making 600+ lol

@@jax9074 it’s a 25 and 40 roll bro. My gearing and power under the curve is much better at those speeds. If we did a 60 roll it would of been close

That vette is not 600+. It’s way lighter than the GTR. My guess is it’s 550 whp and 630crank. Or it’s just plain broken hahaha
550 is about what stock a8 ones do on the dyno
@@AutoGlory that’s what I’m saying. Someone could be lying about mods or it’s just not done right. For similar hp cars and 1 being way lighter I’d expect different results. Unless he was spinning like crazy.

A base c7 z06 already makes 650hp from factory, all them mods and he still in 600s? Something not right, or guy lying about some of his mods lmao
I'm sure he's not lying about his mods. People lie by hiding Mods or HP numbers. They don't say they have more than what they have. As for 650 hp... that's the crank hp numbers that GM states. So it probably made around 100 whp or maybe a little less compared to stock
E50 is to much ethanol content for the LT4 platform without a cam. Also it’s a high risk reward when you run a lower or upper pulley. Only so much timing you can add to have the car running solid. This Zo6 is running terrible smh…

C7z “650whp” 3,800lbs with driver max. 620whp gtr with driver and passenger 4k+ lbs during this race. Something is off lol. Someone lying about mods or this vette has a horrible tune.
It’s funny you guys think the 25 roll would be close against a gtr. Even 40 puts the gtr in its powerband. Vette needs 55-60 roll

Regardless of a 40,50,60,90 roll trap speed is trap speed and something off with this vette like I mentioned earlier 🤷♂️ is what it is gtr took the w but if both vehicles making the power they claim then the W would’ve gone to the vette. It’s not like the “650” whp is peaky and the torque number should match the hp number unlike the gtr. Makes even less sense the more you think about it lol oh well it’s on the street where anything can happen
