The Mi 9 SE is the smaller, less powerful version of the Mi 9. While it doesn't pack the same punch as it's bigger brother it's also significantly cheaper and in my opinion much better value. The Mi 9 SE has pretty much every feature you can expect to find in a flagship phone but for half the price.

6-6.3 is a good size on hand not too big not too small, i myself dont have big fingers but 6" is a very good smartphone size

@@RejinVennikkel what holds me back from s10e aside from the price, damn more expensive than 9 SE, is its SOC. here in our region most of Samsung Flagships got Exynos chips, not even Snapdragon so 9 SE is a clear choice for me

It is compact and smaller coz of the slimmer bezels.
It is even smaller than my redmi 5 with a 5.7" screen.
Might even be smaller than 5.5" phones 2-3 years ago.

It has type c to 3,5mm at default package, its not necessary wirelless headphones.

Analogic audio is better than digital audio. While the USB type C can transfer electricity, video, audio and other stuff; the audio jack is only made for transferring audio, and it has been used for a long time, so it's basically more developed.

Well. I have 2 xiaomi fones. Redmi Note 4 and a note 6 pro. Both excellent fones. Great daily performance and great battery life. I reduced animations to 0.15. Now it feels extremely fast. As fast or maybe faster than One plus. What more can one ask for the price range. Maybe gaming performance. But i cant tell, as i dont game on fones. 😄
Watching on ocean blue mi 9 SE, truly is a great phone and I'm probably gonna own this for years 👍🏾
@Sasa M "Better" is IMO subjective. Some people would go for the compact size of SE (albeit less powerful) instead of its more powerful sibling,

Bro just I give shout out for jor honest review you told about everything When it comes to battery life I have mi 9 and mi9se both two phone are not in miui I rooted for aosp. Right now mi9se has 6-7 sot at intensive usage mi9 has 7-8 the same usage as well as mi9se Miui didn't optimized many of the important features

5.8'' is the holy grail screen size , any bigger than that is what a serial killer would want

I would like to buy a new smartphone but I am hesitating between the Pocophone F1 and this one... The pocophone has a better battery and an audio output (these two are very important for me) but this one is smaller and I think has a better photo mode (also two things that are very important for me)... Wich one do you advise me to buy ? I can also wait and maybe Xiaomi will release a new cheap and small smartphone...

May i suggest for you? Better you choose mi 9se. You will know if you compare the camera, boom! Then this phone have super amoled display on full HD+ screen resolution! The battery only 3070mah but, it can hold about 8-9 hours (playing games, youtube and social media). It have Super Slo-mo video! 950fps! I guarantee you to buy this one. Thanks

My old phone was Redmi 4X and my current one is MI 9 SE, they are both amazing in my opinion :))

@2:30 I mostly hold my Mi 9 SE like a tablet. The best thing about the Mi 9 SE is that it ticks all important boxes and you can get it for 250 bucks on Ebay in a like-new condition. :)
Regarding the (lack of) 3.5mm audio jack, you can get USB-c to 3.5mm adapters on Amazon for around £10. I hate that some phones got rid of the port just because it's trendy and Apple did it, but thankfully there's a pretty easy workaround if you don't like wireless. Great review btw!:)

The Mi 9se has similar screen gestures that my iPhone 10 has. The one complaint I have about the Xiaomi Mi 9se, is that scrolling in some apps is laggy compared to ios. It is a vgery nice phone other than that.
Xiaomi models do last long from my experience
Not in mine though. Even their accesories like power banks have failed on me & that too within the warranty period. 🤦♂️

My Samsung note 9 s pen is not working, just bought it last week.
Sometimes it doesn't matter what brand, if unlucky might get a defective products.
That said my pocophone is still super fast after 8 months
My Mi A1 is almost two years old now. I dropped it and the corner of the touchscreen broke within a week, and that is the only problem of any kind I've had with it since I got it. Regularly updated, no root or anything, just pure stock.

They build affordable phone but certainly not durable.

Been looking to get the se But I have 1 question. On average how much screen on time do you get? Like watching RUclips, surfing the web and going on social media e.g Insta and reddit?
I use my phone quote a lot (not as much for video though) and get a day out of it before I have to charge it at night.
I have it, I get 6/7 hours of screen time.

Why so much fuzz about the headphone jack 🙄 … there's an adapter included btw.
I have the phone and it's superb. Only thing is the battery, which could've been slightly larger.
Also VoWiFi and VoLTE are working fine on it.

How's the screen on time?
@@syedarqam9341 The battery lasts for round 1 and a 1/4 days with screen on of 4h (WhatsApp, surfing, music). A friend of mine got screen time of 7h by reading only books. So it depends on the Application..
another bad thing is that it does not have an sd card slot which upsets me very much because I wanted to buy the mi 9
i don't like air-pods, i don't like any phone more that 6 inches, i don't like pop up cameras, i don't like 500$ being called mid-range but i love this phone, i can forgive absence of headphone jack, super amoled will compensate , i don't care about super charger because i charge when i sleep anyway and i cant get over the fact that my 7 inch tablet is almost the size of most flagships of 2019 which i can't afford but still watch reviews anyway and i like this review but i don't like that Dan didn't like this comment

honestly. Its completely up to you. If you prefer ios, then choose the 7 plus. If you like android, then get the mi 9 se. Keep in mind the xiaomi mi 9 se will last longer, becuase you are able to get custom android roms when xiaomi discontinues it.
Honestly, the iPhone 7 plus doesn't even compare to this phone spec wise. The Mi 9se is better in every way.

Iphones turned crapy after 6+ ones IMHO. My Iphone7 got motherboard crash after few months use.
Cons : No headphone jack, no notification led, bumpy camera lenses, MIUI, ADS...
Pros : compact design, dark mode display, price...
trust me you won't notice any ads. because you hardly ever use a mi app. And even there they're not standing out much. And there won't be any ads if you don't use wlan but your flat

@@corentinguillo5577 no! ao is the right vowel combination to make 小(Xiao) sound you could express it as shao, the I is silent 米 the pinyin is mi but would be better expressed by the English word (me). So you could just read the pinyin xiaomi but none of you geniuses seem to be able to wrap your head around that even... Let me guess you also pronounce Huawei (Wa way)!?! Do you need a lesson on that too? Just look up pinyin for beginners on RUclips you can learn just like everyone else.

I have this phone, and I will never go back to a Flaship. I think 1200 for a new Samsung or Apple, I'd have to be nuts when for $430 you can get a smartphone with the best cameras, cpu/gpu, and good battery life, wireless charging. Edit: I hvae the Mi 9 Transparent 8/256 setup.
