If you look closely at the number at 3:21, you notice the set number is IMU 172. IMU 172 was the train that went through the toilet block at Cleveland station.
@brayeen1234 A lot of trains from the northside terminate at Roma St in the am peak, while peak hour trains from the south side terminate at Bowen Hills.
After seeing train services in all Australian cities, i still believe Sydney has the best services and announcements. I've noticed all announcements on this video are made by staff advising of destinations. Melbourne is similar. Sydney has automated and very frequent announcement made by the system. Really convenient. i don't think Sydney's train service gets enough credit.
man i miss time period, thanks yt for recommending me this
Trains in brisbane looked a lot different back then
It's amazing to see what the trains we currently ride on today looked like back in the day!
Best era for the electric trains

Yeah me too! It sounds glorious! Nostalgia at its peak for sure.
Wonderful compilation of high quality videos.
Ahhhh thank you for the nostalgia!
@Xtrapolis5 - A unit is three coaches, remember. Two 3-car units make up a 6-car train.
JBofBrisbane yes 3 plus 3 is 6 cars in one unit train
Back when they had that awesome IMU 100/120 livery aswell as SMU 220 livery, shame QR don't do it anymore.
Why don’t they? Also why were City Trains removed?
Gus' Transport Videos not bus ekka station is getting a new makeover for cross river rail
Thanks for such a wonderful video :0

Hold on that has a similar chopper motor compared to the Millenium trains in Sydney
Coffs Aviation HD zZ
A far cry from my younger days riding Brisbane suburban trains in the 1960s.
IMU’s were in Brisbane in 2009?
Clearly yes.
Is it a coincidence that the train at the beginning and the train at the end are the same type of unit?
llouw11 Well, sort of, since they are both very rare (there are only fourteen 3 car sets)
Yeah, that would be my guess too. However, in early peak, some IMU's run from Corinda to the Airport via South Brisbane.
SantaFe5811 airtrain express from Corinda station but what platform

AntonioAzz actually we have auto Announcements too just not at the centre stations.
I don’t remember imu 160s desto board changing between Brisbane and airport.
Probably. Although it had the words Bowen Hills on it
Back in the days when they actually ran the SMU200 and 220's. These days it seems EMU's have taken over again. Every train I ever catch is an EMU
Can’t believe the emus are being scrapped
How far can you go from here with train ?
Gympie.
Longreach, Charleville, Sydney or Cairns.
The first train I think is from the gold coast.
Nathan. The new smu and imu mk 3
Ah yes, the old trains…
Like the sound at 1:22
would'nt there b some trains going up 2 ipswich
trainzdude11 yes or not
No Ferny grove trains
No ICE sets
Yoshi Kid120 yes ice set after the Roma st train depart for empty to ekka loop
You SHould of filmed that ice in the background
Really? So you think Brisbane has a better system than Sydney ? You are sorely mistaken my friend
AntonioAzz they are the same imo
@antonio clearly perth and brisbane have the best systems, melbournes system and sydneys system can go to hell
