what can i use as a guidance to make sure the bumper doesnt end up like a few inches to the right or to the left when marking the holes on the stock brackets?
What I did was which, I forgot to mention I guess is good at least three guys to help you two will hold the bumper on each end and one will be looking at the bumper in front of it you will be at the bottom under the truck once they say everything looks where it needs to be you will grab a marker or something that you can mark the bracket where it sits and make the square to let you know where the bracket will be sitting at then you have been idea of where to make your hole slotted holes
I don't think it does but if I'm correct you should be good but for sure you would have to change the grill I might be wrong I just don't remember it's been a while since messing with the HD conversions
How are the gaps doing it this way? I got mine on but i did it different, only thing is i had to raise up my grille and the bumper is pushing up on my headlights
Would this Work the same on a 2009 Silverado 2500HD ? I want to change the bumper to a 2011+ I don't like the huge corner pieces. Muc prefer the one piece of the 2011 to 2014
I'm not really sure to be honest it's been a good while since I've done the HD for those models but I really want to say if you buy the brackets and everything for the HD bumper that you want I'm pretty sure it's a straight fit I'm not too sure really wish I could help you out more
Yes it can be done I don't quite remember how but if I'm correct when you take off your original bumper off you will see the bumper bracket that mounts on the frame that is welded on it grab your HD bumper with help a couple of friends and mounted up against it and you will see from there what exactly you would have to cut if anything or were you would have to weld for it to stay on I can't really remember from the top of my head what are used to do if I don't do a lot nowadays like before when it was really hit it and that was probably over 5 years ago or so I hope this helps and if you are in the Houston area I don't mind to show you what to do if you're close by me
No it does not I've been hoping to run into the guy so I can take a picture of it and post it or video of it but I have not ran into him what you can do is try to put the bracket on the end on the inside of the bumper if you have it I have someone pick up the bumper on the end while you screw it down on the inside if you do not have that then what you can do there's a bracket on the frame tip where the bumper mounts on to you will see two boats on each frame of that bracket they should be sized 21 mm loosen that up I have a couple of buddies pick it up to where it needs to be and then screw it down and you should be good
Sorry for the late response it shouldn't but if so try adjusting the brackets that mount on the frame that should help you out have a couple of friends to help you on this one guy loosens the brackets and the other two well list of the bumper ends to where it needs to be and then you tighten up the brackets there should be two nuts on each side should be 21 if that doesn't help that you will need to put the braces on the ends to help you put it where it needs to be

So you just need to buy the 2500 bumper and top bumper pad and the 2500 impact brackets or do you need something else also?
