what a cry when you see a home that was once occupied by a family and how things can change and how you see the items that are left behind that tell a story almost like a timeline of their life. Yes I know things happen and life happens I'm glad to see that people can pick up even though it may hurt and rebuild even if its not where they where they still rebuild. Thanks JP
So sad to see, family photo's like that. The TV's probably still worked back in the early 90s. They still had analog and T.V. antennas. I had one like that that I used 2001ish as long as I had an antenna I could get local channels. lol. Old school! 😎 lived it!
Neat house! On the old TV sets, anything with a built-in UHF dial is 1964 or newer. The big set that was tipped over in the beginning with the little set on the floor next to it really brought back childhood memories. Back in the early days of color TV the circuits were full of tubes and very trouble prone. When the big color console TV broke down people would often put the little black and white TV on top until the big one got fixed. Used to see this all the time when I was a kid, forgot about it until just now!
Another great video J - nice house beyond renovation because the flood water caused the wood to rot 🙁 That TV was beautiful and unharmed by the flood - I am surprised the owners didn’t take it out I like the way you do your videos- you are a great videographer 😁 Thank you for sharing this interesting video 😁🏡💕
found another of your videos. This looks like a fun one. Oh you can see where the water was at. and it is still standing. Says something about engineering from the past. Oh the pocket door was great, usually they are taken out. They must have really canned all their food with that many jars in that room. Those holes in the wall in that pink room looks like someone was looking for something. Maybe a treasure? but I know it was pipes they were more than likely after. that is a shame that it was destroyed by flooding. great find and thanks for showing it to us.
Well yuck on the big bug but sad about house, really sad all those photos were left behind, just sad, but was interesting to see those old TVs. As always thx for sharing
Watched it again and enjoyed it again : ) . The " tiffany blue " is a HOT decorating color this year ...old is new again. Now, to find another abandoned video to watch again LOL.
There's lots of other great explorers out there with great content. I suggest checking out "the proper people". I'm a big fan of their videos. But they typically don't respond to their comments.
Love the old solid wood doors especially the pocket door. Could have done without the close up of the cave cricket though lol not a fan of creepy crawlers.
I really enjoy your explores. You have a kind gentle voice gives empathy to abandoned buildings that once were loved homes or important to someone . I appreciate the inquisitive nature you have even going the extra mile at times risking the attics or cellars. I hope you stay safe I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Thankyou from beverley Stone in the UK
Lime Ridge/Central is only 10-15 minutes from my house. Lime Ridge was named for all the limestone they found in the area, according to my dad. He also said that some company in Wilkes Barre used the limestone in various construction projects. My gram once told me that there was a fort built here in the 1700's, but she didn't know the name of it. I Googled it, and both their stories are pretty accurate. Fort Jenkins was built in 1778 and the limestone was used in brick house construction. The limestone was also used in smelting. Fantastic to see all these places that are so close to home.
Excellent find Jay, no matter who actually found it! It's a shame it was flooded. Please do us a favor and ask your friend to put some clothes on. It may be hot there, and I'm talking about the weather and not her body, but there's no need to be an exhabitionist. I know I'm old and oldfashioned, but that's just a bit over the top! I'm sure the home was a beautiful at one time. I had a Zenith console TV not really that long ago. They are beautiful pieces of furniture! Lots of TVs there! I enjoyed your video, with that one exception! Sorry Jay.
That leaning chimney was probably built that way.chimneys were built to attic height first then house usually built around it. Any offsets would be in attic ive seen 3 ft offsets in these old houses and it kept chimney from whistling in high winds. Ive done plumbing and remodel work in houses like this quite a bit over the years its very interesting. Im from corry pa.
That's a very cool, mid-century wooden table at about 2:50. Maybe Danish modern, or at least so inspired. I like your videos. Some "explorers" post videos of abandoned places but they're more infuriating than fun. The people rush past and rifle through things, and generally don't seem to have a shred of respect for and even less knowledge about history and people. I watched one last night by a punk kid that left me angry as hell. Good thing he had comments disabled, and I think I know why. Anyway, I appreciate your videos, commentary and all.
To bad for the water damage. That is so god alful and you can't save anything after water damage. Feel sorry for the lady that lived there. All those jars just awesome. Remindes me of my Mother she save every blessed bottle, what a mess to clean up.Usually a house along a river is real bad mistake, I know water is beautiful, but it canbe very harmful.
JPVideos Ah- it's so tempting! But PA is a good distance from NC! Haha. I was in Lancaster in January had the chance to do some exploring. Loved the country views.
Seems like a nice house, but to bad of the fast decay and the flood does a lot of damage. Man the collection of all those jars why do people do that. My dear Mom also did that its crazy.
Another great find. That place is beautiful vintage everything. The old carpets the old furniture and nice woodwork that hasn't been painted over like most other houses
RICH DISCOVERIES if you lift the lid to the tank of the toilet it will have a date stamped into the porcelain. It will tell you how old the toilet is and that would make the house the same age. Let me know what you find
@@mcanally5940 I think you replied to my comment by accident, I think you meant to leave this for JP videos. All that aside, that is great information I never realized the porcelain lid on a toilet had the manufacture date stamped into it!! The next time I do on abandoned house for my channel I will definitely look into that, that is great to know thank you. I just recently did a video for my RUclips channel at an old an old rail yard that has been abandoned since the 70s. I think all of the toilets in the control towers are smashed unfortunately. But I will definitely look into that for my next abandoned video, thank you again for that information!!
The wood molding and doors are salvageable. That furniture with the velvet fabric is Duncan Fife. A very expensive item in antique shops. Pockets doors and the weights in the widows. Great find if just to have a quick look around.
Wow thats some collection of jars and the old tv's are a treasure blast from the past. To bad the house is so far gone. Someone needs to come in and take out all the wood doors with the porcelain knobs they are worth money. Great explore.
I love that green retro furniture. That must have been some seriously powerful flood to push out that wall. I learned that blue mason jars are more valuable than clear. Thanks Robin. Thanks JP. Great find!
This is a cool find! The Sloan’s Lintiment bottle was pretty awesome as well. It’s used for aches and pains, as you might imagine. The active ingredient is capsaicin, which is what makes chili peppers hot. Prolonged use of it will actually block pain receptors thereby reducing pain. They still make it too.
Great vlog! Why would there be so much stuff if it was just a summer home? You wouldn’t bring your family photos etc to a summer home. There has got to be more to the story.
Yay ! Another abandoned house to tour.. Love the craftsman style with the beautiful wood- work and built -ins. It was probably a beautiful home at one time. Loved the old bottle of liniment ..a real collectible. The suitcase of old photos is so sad. ...The tiffany (?)blue has become my new favorite color this year. ( love blue canning jars too : ) .Thank you for another adventure...enjoyed it a lot . Have a great day ! : )
I love the fact that the woodwork hasn't been painted over like it has in most homes. I love the look of the wood just finished and untouched. You really just don't see that anymore
I do family history and every time I see family photos left behind, it breaks my heart. Hard to believe younger family members would not want to go through a relatives house and claim those.
It's sad what happened to this home. Really nice collection of Mason jars, she's right; the blue ones are valuable. I love the old wallpaper, really nice...my grandmother had similar in her apt.
I like old places they are neat to see
Beautiful place 🤗♥️💋
Beautiful built-in cabinet's and pocket doors are beautiful was a lovely place.

It’s so sad to see those lovely old homes destroyed.
my favorite are the house tours.
Thanks Pamela
One of the best examples of all kinds of decay that you've documented. Strange that mementos like photographs were left behind.
those tvs were very cool beautiful

I love watching these abandoned house videos. Bittersweet. Thank you for sharing.
The stairway to the attic was interesting. ☺️

So glad you changed the intro
Great find!!! Whoever lived there must have done alot of canning with all those jars!!! Wonderful job on the video Jay!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Amazing fine even in its condition!
Great find jp
Awesome!!!!
cool bug.....it's easy to collect canning jars...takes a lot of jars to can fruits and veggies
That TV is worth a lot! I sort of want it, very nice roundy.
Another great video J - nice house beyond renovation because the flood water caused the wood to rot 🙁
That TV was beautiful and unharmed by the flood - I am surprised the owners didn’t take it out
I like the way you do your videos- you are a great videographer 😁
Thank you for sharing this interesting video 😁🏡💕
I love your old house explorations- poignant and interesting.
🙂
Very interesting house, too bad it got flooded as that leaves huge damage.
I had that retro couch style at one time! Loved it!
Great explore! 👍
Ty
THE. YOUNG LADY IS SO VERY SWEET !!!!! AWESOME. ROBIN. !!!!!
Cool explore Jay & Robin, thank you for sharing this place it is greatly appreciated. 🙂👍
You must be driving a delorean since you're traveling back in time.
🙂👍
Still catching up on your videos...haven't run my vacuum in two days! Love the sound of your shoes on the gravel, leaves, snow trash!
💙
Very expensive internet books. Those would have cost a couple thousand back then.

Most jars ive ever seen
You had me at the cave cricket as I would have run. lol It is a shame how so many homes get left to rot.
Those crickets only look scary lol
I bet it smells great
Oh yeah
I enjoy your content
I know you do ;)
Well yuck on the big bug but sad about house, really sad all those photos were left behind, just sad, but was interesting to see those old TVs. As always thx for sharing
Great video :)
Ty Yvonne 🙂
Cool find these places getting reclamied by mother earth.
House tours are my favorite
Mine too!
Sorry buddy I love the antiques
Watched it again and enjoyed it again : ) . The " tiffany blue " is a HOT decorating color this year ...old is new again. Now, to find another abandoned video to watch again LOL.

I thought at the beginning that house looked familiar, the school photos nailed it. I grew up not far from this house.
Angela Stewart no way!
How neat. Do you know anymore about it?
What happened to the people
Love the old solid wood doors especially the pocket door. Could have done without the close up of the cave cricket though lol not a fan of creepy crawlers.
Some people enjoy the close ups. Sorry

Cool old vacation house.
All by itself so it was a great location, except for the massive river behind it.
Lime Ridge/Central is only 10-15 minutes from my house. Lime Ridge was named for all the limestone they found in the area, according to my dad. Tv at 10:30. I have the metal table top version.
Wow, what a cool find. It's sad that such a big beautiful house at one time got destroyed by a flood.
Scenic location, but mother nature had other plans.

Those same type of videos are aggravating to me as well. I'm hoping others can watch my videos and see the respectable way to do this.

Wow cool old tv.
Always a great find! You're making me itch to go exploring again!
Lets go! Theres so much to be discovered.
JPVideos Ah- it's so tempting! But PA is a good distance from NC! Haha. I was in Lancaster in January had the chance to do some exploring. Loved the country views.
If you come up again, let me know. Otherwise, get out a camera and explore around your area.
JPVideos I will! I am! Some of my followers on my old FB page got ahold of me with some cool places to check out. Can't wait.
Hope you share them on here. I plan on traveling around so if i head your way ill let you know.
Seems like a nice house, but to bad of the fast decay and the flood does a lot of damage. Man the collection of all those jars why do people do that. My dear Mom also did that its crazy.
Another interesting place. Always enjoy your content & narration. Loved the Swan wallpaper !
Thanks
Beautiful. And that insect on the stairs was a sort of grasshopper. ☆☆☆☆☆
How I love watching your videos and imagining about living in those houses in it's hayday.
Glad you enjoy them
Cool find!
Love this house. That kitchen upstairs reminds me of my Grandmothers, with a door and no stairs.🙌
I'd love 2 get that pillow
The white porcelain door knobs are beautiful, as is the doors and wood trim. So sad!
I love that retro furniture!!
As for all the jars they probably did some canning ...

Just picked one up
Awesome glad to hear!!!!!
I fixed a tv that was sitting in a dump from the mid 60s it was face down sitting for about 20 years
Wow
It's a shamrock it was probably a beautiful place once
The wood molding and doors are salvageable. That furniture with the velvet fabric is Duncan Fife. A very expensive item in antique shops. Pockets doors and the weights in the widows. Great find if just to have a quick look around.
Ohhh be still my heart! Those doors, knobs and tiles! Thank you for sharing.
Enjoyed the video!! Thanks for sharing!
Wow that's so weird just everything left behind!!!! Creepy... But sad what a flood can do...thanks for sharing!!!
Oh my, I had that same kitchen table in the 70s! It came with swivel bucket seats.
Wow thats some collection of jars and the old tv's are a treasure blast from the past. To bad the house is so far gone. Someone needs to come in and take out all the wood doors with the porcelain knobs they are worth money. Great explore.
Good video like your abandoned videos do more please
Hey jp how are you it's Jackie period I wouldn't mess with cricket spiders!!!
That bug was a cave cricket.
The bug was a cave cricket. So many jars....jar hoarder? Lol, that's so jarring.
Haha
I would love to have an old tv like that and turn it into a fish tank.
I love that green retro furniture. That must have been some seriously powerful flood to push out that wall. I learned that blue mason jars are more valuable than clear. Thanks Robin. Thanks JP. Great find!
I like the orange chair upstairs. Also the doors and door knobs

Very true. May have became someones permanent home.
I don't think it would be strange for a family to bring some family photos to their summer home.
cool find man!

I remember when I was 6 yrs old, we got our first colored tv. It looked similar to the tvs in this house. That would have been 1967.
That's a really old tv
Don't take that book out of the wall!!!!!!! It could be the Necronomicon in disguise.......
What a cool place. I bet it was beautiful at one time with all the neat windows and built in shelves. Another great vid JP! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jay, wow that place was really interesting with those really cool old tv's and all of those jars. Thanks for sharing that with us. x
Thanks for watching sue
Very cool spot JP it’s crazy how place get abandoned like this excellent video and solid edit 👌
Looks like they got a lot out when the flooding began. Hope so. Cool find guys.
It's sad what happened to this home. Really nice collection of Mason jars, she's right; the blue ones are valuable. I love the old wallpaper, really nice...my grandmother had similar in her apt.
Your exploring partner needs a better urban explanation outfit. 😁😂
Haha, i told her about that.
I had boots on! 😂🤷♀️
Robin Massina well as a mom of a 27 and 22 I believe you need a little bit more gear and long pant .. oh also a tetanus shot. 😂😂😂😂😂
