Thank you for the excellent trouble shooting guide. I just bought a gy6 49cc with no start. The engine would spin with the start switch but no spark. Followed your guide to the tee and still no spark. So I pulled the front cover off and found that someone had installed an alarm/remote start. Removed the alarm and shorted the pink and black wires. Then traced the kill switch wires all the way to the CDI. Still there was a persistent ground on the kill switch wire. Found that this bike has a kick stand switch. It was shorted all the time. Once I unplugged the kick stand switch I had spark and the engine runs great now. The point is I was able to follow your guide and determined that the CDI, Coil, and Stator pulse generator were all functioning. And because you included the kill switch trouble shooting I was able to find the problem. Thank you!!!
This is a Fantastic Video , As a 67 year old retired Technician it is rare to find someone Mature enough and smart enough to help others in a professional way . Countless baby brains only want someone to view their ignorance, but this young man is beyond words as a good Samaritan . The Video is excellent, detailed and extremely informative . Many Americans bought these CHEAP scooters on line and wound up parking them , covering them with a Tarp and left them to rot . Cheap Chinese junk , kind of like the old GM built Cars . So I viewed the video a couple of times , pulled off the Tarp of the Gy6 machine that had been parked for 5 years, found the problem in about 30 Min , Verified the problem and found parts online . It was extremely difficult to find good publications or technical help . The Chinese companies could care less, they basically disappeared once the sale is made . Thanks to Caring people like this young man whom not only is very intelligent , and very patient , he is very caring . He is helping thousands of Americans and others across the World . Now this is an excellent, thorough troubleshooting tutorial. Bravo sir, I have been wondering how to check the kill switch without tearing the steering column apart. Well done
Be sure the kickstand is all the way up. My wife's scooter had no spark. Was in the process of diagnosing the electric when I saw a reference to kickstand in one of comments. Pushed it down and back up. Coil began firing. reconnected plug wire, started instantly.
@tiehut In this world we have many good people, but unfortunately there are also many "Losers" as you stated. I prefer to call them trolls. There is no reason to thumbs down this video. I have seen many videos on RUclips, and I can say that this video is EXTREMELY helpful. If an individual did not think it was special, then just move on. There was no reason for the thumbs down. Some videos are deserving of a thumbs down, but not this one. I suspect the thumbs down are from viewers who could not resolve their issue after watching my video because either they failed to do something correctly, or they have other problems not shown in this video. So I get blamed. Illogical considering they did not even pay for the help I gave.
Glad you enjoyed my video. The one thing I learned over the years as a RUclips creator, is that you cannot please everyone on YT. There are trolls, people that are jealous of your knowledge/videos, or people that own businesses are annoyed because you produce videos which allow people to repair things themselves. Thanks For Watching
electronics and more, thanks for share your knowledge and post your videos but I say again , scooters chinesse are cheap crap, I have one and is problem after problem, I decide buy Suzuki burgman 650 used and is very nice I put 1000 miles on it with 0 problems and I paid 1500 bucks and for the chinesse scooter brand new paid 1200 and have only 800 miles and bunch of problems, Im going to scrap it.again thanks for share your knowledge.
Great tutorial so far. Car / Semi mechanic here so alot is familiar with the few exceptions. Still watching video. At Appx 5:45 in video you show a "Scotch Block" on the back where you ran your ground over. Recommend eliminating scotch block as that invites Gremlins (Corrosion) in the wiring. Better of cutting small section of wire, stripping the end of ground wire you're adding and twist it in the wiring inline then soldering it. You can use liquid tape to put a cover back over wiring sealing it. I generally go 2-3 coats of liquid tape. I do this on any similar wiring situations, remote starts, wires I may pierce with a test light for diagnostics and it don't hurt the current wiring. Now off to watch rest of video. Good battery, scooter starts, runs when kickstarted, runs when battery charged but the starter goes but sounds like it starts spinning before I have to pull the battery and charge. Wondering if alternator or whatever these have is going bad. I do have a voltage drop tester (see AESWAVE.COM as they have alot of great mechanic tools that help save time and get sale result). These tools are great when you do alot of this stuff as it pays back long term. So far scooters are cars on a smaller scale. Loving it. May start doing work on these as well. Wonder what a good hourly rate is for scooters?
Thank you for the video. I have been taken advantage of by so called mechanics to the point that now I have no choice but to try to diagnose & repair moped myself.
You're welcome! I hope you figure it out. Be sure to watch my "GY6 Scooter Repair" video playlist below, and most importantly share my channel with many others. Thank you! ruclips.net/video/5vl1mrTVCQ0/видео.html
I am waiting for my scooter to arrive I just ordered a few days ago I have been watching videos constantly since then and I must say yours are incredible I look forward to everything you upload. I am ignorant when it comes to anything electrical or engine wise I have never been involved in dealing with either or either end in buying a scooter that did not come highly recommended I knew and understood I would have to learn some things or pay 4 things and in my situation learning is better even at 47 so I just wanted to thank you because I think that your video will probably be the most useful item in my arsenal of keeping this thing going I ordered a couple of books off Amazon used for a few bucks as references but once again I commend you and being so professional and explaining everything from soup to nuts in your video hopefully I will not have to use it very often but if it does not start your video will be the first one I go to again thank you very much
Hello, and thanks for the great video up front : ) I hope you are still open to a question or 2.. I would like you to know that i watched your video several times over by the end, and tried to listened very carefully before posting any comments / questions, as to not waste any of your time. Hopefully i did not miss anything i am about to ask ; ) Just a couple bits of info first that may help. This is a go kart with the gy6 150cc engine. I have no keyed ignition (push button). I just tied the on / off switch wires together for the tests just to rule it out of the equation all together. Switch tests fine though. There is a secondary safety switch on the brake pedal. The starter will not kick when you push the starter button unless you are holding the brake at the same time. That switch is also functioning fine. My 4 pr. wire harness going into the CDI only has 3 wires in it. I Did a continuity test of each wire. 2 of the wires go to each lead of the coil,(if 1 of those is a ground then any ground would show continuity i guess) and the 3rd wire is the pick up wire. Other than those couple things, some wire color differences, and the fact that the fuel gravity feeds on mine, everything in your video matches what i have here.. Moving on... @14:00 mins. of the video i guess is a good start. Coil OHM resistance at CDI. I am getting an OHM measurement of .8 -1.0 for this test. (tester set @200 ohm) I have 2 coils, both are used, and they test identical for all tests moving forward... I am getting that .8 reading no matter if i test through the wire that goes from CDI to the coil, or if I just test directly to the coil. both coil wires at the CDI read the same. ( i also get the same readings if i just meter the leads on the coil directly while not connected to system) Skipping forward to 19:30, Coil tests. I did this test exactly as you recommended. With boot / wire off, black meter lead to green coil lead, and red meter lead directly to the screw inside coil (meter set @20k OHM)it reads 3.24, Boot / wire back on. Black meter lead still connected to the green coil lead, and red meter lead to the end of the spark plug wire, same setting on the meter. I get a reading of 8.9. Do you see a problem with any of my readings. By your readings at 14:00, my readings are pretty low. although i saw your caption there as well...)Is my coil ok? All the other tests that i went through with you on the video seem to be with in the same operating specs.. I am stumped! Still No spark! A new spark plug is next on the list as soon as the store opens. I will cry if that's all it is. I usually just have them around, and never hesitate to try a new plug first. I followed the spark plug test portion of your video, first time i have tried this, but that was not looking good for 2 plugs i have. 1 of them has no continuity between the tip and the electrode (junk), and the other measures with higher, and erratic resistance measurements, so it may be bad also. If not that though, what do you think? Would you still lean towards the CDI unit? I would really appreciate any time and info you would be willing to share. I learned a ton from your video, and i would like to thank you again for that.. The title does not disappoint! I hope my question & info is just as clear. Thanks in advance. -EJ
LOL, and you know exactly why.... The spark Plug was bad, but your recommendation to disconnect the stop switch wires was the ultimate info that helped me to correct what i was doing wrong. : ) That is a little embarrassing, LOL. Ohh well... Just so happy that i finally heard this thing fire! Good signs! Now i can move on with getting this thing complete again. I am eternally grateful for your video, & your quick, accurate advice! Wish i could return the favor. Thanks again! : )
i have a jonway yy150t-12. I am glad I found this video because it is basically the same as your bike. I just had an issue with a bolt not being on my manifold. The other one started to come loose as well so it was dieing all of a sudden when i hit the gas. Had serious issues trying to get a decent idle RPM. Seems to be doing better at the moment. Thanks.
Thank you for this. I scored a cheap scooter and your video helped me trace the problem to a bad kickstand switch that was keeping the black wire grounded.
Thanks man!. I couldnt get my gy6 scooter running after transporting it 500 miles in a trailer. No spark at the plug. i swapped the plug, coil, cdi. I was checking craigslist for a person that knew what they were doing. I wasnt having any luck in my area. THEN, I thought of u-tube. yours was the first one I clicked on. I was wondering why you wouldnt use a test light or meter to check the starter solinoid. I fast forwarded to the 6:45 point and paused the video..........when I got to the kill switch part. I went outside and put the switch in the correct position, and it started! Thanks Again.
Thanks for this video bro, all the attention to the CDI helped me locate my problem. For others out there, my scooter wouldn't start simply because one of the wires to the CDI Controller had come loose, plugged it back in, rigged it up with electrical tape, adjusted the idle once she started up and all was good, took me three weeks to figure that out until i saw this thanks again
Do you are very awesome I can understand you you're not too quick very therrell you're a good teacher I thought I knew a whole lot about electric you're really helping me out I never really paid a lot of tension the multimeters but it really helps thank you so much you got my vote Steve from Annapolis they call me Super 6 GY6 most of the mechanical engine stopped them a pro at
I've got a yy-150 that doesn't crank and doesn't turn over with the ignition. Not mechanically minded, but I've already replaced the battery, cleaned the carb and replaced the spark plug. No idea what it could be at this point, but thanks for having this up. I'll watch it a lot for sure.
Wow this is by far the best video step by step as far as running down any electrical problems. I myself know a little but with the help I've seen here I'm sure I can get this scooter running if my problem is electrical, which I hope it is. Got the 150 cc sunl scooter for $50 I know I will be putting some money and time into it and watching more of his videos. Just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to do this for people like me.
Best video I have seen yet. I am working on a Buggy with a gy6 engine that had been setting for years, I need to trouble shoot all the electrical systems. This video will help immensely. Any place to get the simple wiring diagrams that you are using. Most of the time they are very complicated.
Thx for video.. Just wanted to mention some scooters have a kill switch activated by the kickstand. Not allowing spark if the kickstand is in the out position. Found this out the hard way..Denny
Awesome video, awesome detail. Watched it over and over a few times. My problem was my ground terminal came off while cranking over the engine and it idling. The scooter shut off, I placed the wire back on, went to fire it up and nothing. Going to try this tonight when im off work and see what the problem is.
hey bud never got back to replying to you. but you video did help me out on my gy6! I went to ohm out my trigger wire on my stator and it was reading openline. Opened the stator cover up, pulled the flywheel, to then find out that the bolt that holds the stator down, backed out and ripped my windings up. Completely tearing my trigger wire. replaced it that day and good to go. thanks again!
Great video, good to see someone make a proper video instead of some ghetto person holding a shaky cam yelling about random things while the dogs bark in the background.
Thanks a lot very helpful we had problems with our scooter not cranking fast enough after watching your video we found the ground wire on the frame came loose thanks again very very helpful
Great to hear! Be sure to watch my "Auto & Mechanical" and "GY6 Scooter" video playlists below for other great videos and most importantly share. Thank you ruclips.net/video/hnd7P7O_vEQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5vl1mrTVCQ0/видео.html
omg, why i have no friends like u :) i find smart ppl only out of my country. This is so exact what i need, i still dont believe what i have found. i have subscribed to u because an other video of yours, but this is like i hit gold :D. TANK U ! u r really smart
Excellent Video and I learned much. On my Schwinn Graduate, I got no readings from the coil, leading me to believe the coil is dead. I knew I had no fire by using a simple inline spark light. Now I just have to figure out where to buy parts. Any suggestions?
Hi and thanks for this great video, I have a GY6 EFI injection scootervespa Vento Retro that is hard to get started after a ride etc but will start with cablehelp from car battery with no problem in these cases, how is this possible?
ElectronicsNmore, thankyou for taking the time to create the video.I have confirmed my kill switch is not working as intended by carrying out the first test (i.e. always off regardless of switch position).I do have a question: Will the readings for the remaining test be affected by the kill switch not working? The reason I ask is I'm getting inconsistent readings, numerals flickers erratically upon contact of the prongs and immediately zeros out.I have bridged the handle kill switch cable but i believe the issue to be in the ignition kill switch unless my entire wiring harness needs replacing.note I haven't use a multimeter since high school. Thanks in advance.RegardsSergio
+Sergio Rojas Hi Sergio. You're welcome. So the switch is always grounded out preventing the engine from firing up. I have seen that happen several times on different scooters over the years. You may have a faulty meter. You can buy a decent digital meter at home improvement stores or Harbor Freight for $10 or less. If you pull the wire off the CDI that leads to the kill switch, the engine should start up. To kill the engine, touch a grounded wire to the terminal that leads to the kill switch. Thanks For Watching
Hi there. I will bust my meter out tomorrow and check a little closer as you show, checking the wire from the kill switch. I have already installed a new cdi box and the solenoid, battery is charged. When i try to start, lucky if i even hear it try to kick over. For the most part I just hear the solenoid clicking. A few months back, it would start sometimes, other times not. Do you think I should try new ignition coil and/stator coil, perhaps the starter? I followed this long ago having similar starting problems, and just ordered 3 of those components(cdi, solenoid, ignition coil), put them in, fired right up. My scoot has about 7500 miles on it. Have not really changed anything aside from what I mentioned above. 2012 evo 150, same color as yours actually. Thanks, Doug
Do I have to have a coil installed for the lights to be able to come on and the engine to turn over? I picked up this freebie 2011 TAIZHOU ZHONGNRNG 50cc that is totally dead. My ignition switch is busted so I twisted the black and red ignition wires together until I can get another one, twisted the two green wires together, ( left the black/white kill wire disconnected), I am able to turn the engine over by jumping the solenoid posts, battery and fuse are good, start switch and brake switches tested good, there is continuity on all wires having to do with the starting system yet the lights will not even come on. What am I missing after following your tutorial.
Thanks for the video. I have a problem with my scooter. In cold weather especially the electric start just overruns, doesn't crank (make the tatata sound). Kick starting usually will start it but yesterday that was not the case yesterday. Kick starting is not good for my previously broken ankle either. Anyway, the shop can't seem to fix it so I'm trying to. Very helpful and well done video. Thanks again
Great video! My Chinese scooter ignition coil reads approx 0.4 ohms directly across the terminals (shorting the dmm leads is 0.1 ohm) , the bike doesn't crank. Could my ignition coil be a little different from yours, that reads approx 2.0 ohm, but is still good?
I like these types of videos so thank you...while I'm here I have an oil leak on my Geely 150cc JLT-30. Parts here are hard to come by as well as mechanics so I gotta do this myself. I understand these are GY6 engines so wondering if you ever did a video on oil leaks and repairs, remember parts replacements are rare for this particular scooter. Anyway thanks for the vids!
@@electronicsNmore I'm just repairing my granddaughters 125 scooter and a question if I may? The cdi unit were you have the black and red wire only has a single wire a black one do you know what that would 2017 model. Many thans
No idea were the word chicken came from must have been predictive text lol.......Tell you what I did find this afternoon is that the ignition coil is a single connector and I suspect the ground is through the chassis with the 2 bolts holding it. I checked on fleabay and the only couple I can find one is for a 50cc this one is 125 and the other is for yamaha's and aprila's wish I could post images on here
Great Video. Very helpful. My starter coil did not have the screw you were talking about so couldn't do that part of the test. My ohm reading from ground to the coil was only like .8 so I'm guessing it's a bad starter coil?
Hi there! What a detailed video! Have a question for you. What if my starter makes a sound like it's not engaging to the engine? Like when I git the start button, it's sounds like it's working but just not engaging. Please help?
my friend gave me a 150 that wouldnt start when i watched your video about the kill switch, ill be dang i went outside and the switch was on kill. that is the first scooter ive had so thank you for your informative video
Excellent video - thanks! So I have a Chinese scooter (never again) and my new battery (2nd) is not holding a charge; I checked the stator wires and they appear to push energy... what do you think I should check? Thanks again
Hi Roc, Yeah, these scooters are not for everyone. :-) Your sure the battery is charging? Did you check the voltage at the battery terminal while revving the engine? Should be at least 13.75v, but more like 14.25 -14.5v. If you are charging, the next step is to make sure your battery is not draining when the ignition switch off. Disconnect the battery neg cable, then connect a 12v test light between the battery post and the battery neg cable. If the light comes on, even partially, you have a problem. If you have an alarm, I recommend you disconnect it. Thanks! Be sure to share my channel with others, and watch my other videos as well.
I've gotten in trouble with ohm testing before since the DMM itself supplies a very negligible amount of current. Partially open/shorted wires have passed the ohm test because the trickle of current coming from the DMM found it's way through just 1 or 2 strains of copper in a wire that was otherwise damaged (mostly shorted/open) . Voltage drop tests may be a better solution. OHM tests can often lie to you or not tell you enough. I think a voltage drop test on a LOADED circuit leaves little to no chance of a false positives.
Ok I did exactly the way you said in the video and it was very helpful,I think I may have found the problem in the starter, when I bought this bike from a auction,as I am now taking off the starter the starter wasnt bolted down to the engine,it was just in there, when I gave it a few taps it just pop right out of the gears, does that mean anything? Like just stuck in there but locked into the gears?
Great video, I followed it step by step after watching many times. Everything checks out with my scooter except the stator is putting out about 50 VAC, not higher like you mentioned. Could that be a low enough voltage to cause the no-spark, or is it more likely the CDI is bad? Thanks again.
Josh Randall That is not ridiculously low. Remove the kill switch wire on the CDI then try starting it up. If it still does not work, then try a new CDI.
HI, very helpful video, good job! My scooter won't start no spark all of sudden. Followed your video when I test the red wire coming from the stator, no resistance reading and no current coming out of it when I crank the engine. What does it mean, is my stator bad and needs to be replaced? Please reply asap. need to fix my scooter. I use it for work. Thanks
mobuis juan If you get anything vastly different from the video, then that part will need to be replaced. depending on which test failed, you can buy a replacement stator or pick up coil.
great video, when measuring my resistance from the black and yellow wire it was high. you mentioned not above 3 and i got 5 . any suggestions on my next move?
Thank you for all the detail and info. You're a helpful & thorough guide. I pulled the wires from my cdi while hoisting my scooter into a pickup bed. I think I can figure the correct placement for each wire but one got cut and now is difficult to get in and get to stay in the plug. Do local hardware stores carry this small of a connector usable to plug the wire back into the cdi box? Your help would be much obliged.
Keith Buell Hi there. To release the metal connector attached to the wire so you can open it up and solder it back onto the good section of wire, you need to use a tiny(jewelers flat blade screwdriver) to release the connector from the plastic holder. There is a tab that needs to be pushed in to release it. Thank You! Be sure to share my channel with others and rate Thumbs up.
wow Im hoping this can help me get my Jonway 150 cc running. It has less then 500 miles & just wouldnt start 1 day.iM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING TO WORK ON IT MYSELF...SIGHHHH You are the best!
Hi Kelly. If the scooter cranks, but does not start up, you may need to adjust the valves, or the enricher is faulty. I have videos for both. Thanks for watching!
have a Chironex 2010 50cc Scooter. Runs fine for 1-2 klicks then stops .I have to wait 6-9 minutes to start again and after 1-2 klicks it stops again , repeat the waiting game 6-9 minutes to start again. what do you think the problem is and please suggest a fix. thank you. PS: I like your vids .Thr step by step procedure in a logical manner ...please keep doing them Thanks Peter
Great video, I went outside to start my 50cc,,,, hit the start button and nothing,,no cranking sound, battery is good, brake light and horns work, if I probe the soloniod with a test light hooked to batt neg, it lights up, if I use a screwdriver to short the starter soloniod it cranks the bike, it wont start because its having a spark issue, I think its the right side kill - start button switch, issue,,,what do you think at this point? TY
Your videos are helpful. I put a new motor on my 150cc vento 08 and it don't turn over. I used a tester that just lights up when it's on the plugs, i changed the back wires and cdi box still no start. If it's the alarm that won't let it start what do i do?
romeo starr Could be many things. There is more than enough info in this video to troubleshoot your problem. You also should make sure the engine timing marks are lined up properly and the valves are adjusted to the correct gap(.004/.005). Thanks for watching
This is one of the few EXCELLENT trouble shooting videos that I have seen on RUclips. I wish the author creates a similar one for another Chinese scooter - Valentine (marketed by Puma) 150cc Model 150T-c If anyone knows about trouble shooting electrical system for this model, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!!
Great videos! So good I had to subscribe. I am having some starting issues and my scooter has an alarm, how can I remove it or at least find out if it isn't causing my hard starting issue?
Aaron Woolhiser Glad you enjoy them. You have to unplug the entire alarm unit, then place a jumper wire between 2 of the pins in the harness on the scooter. I cannot say which two, because there are different types. You then insert the key into the switch and turn it to the ON position, then press the crank button while probing the harness looking for DC voltage as you press/release the start button. That wire should be connected to the wire in the harness which leads back to the starter solenoid. NOW, your problem does not sound alarm related. If the alarm was the problem, your scooter would not start at all. You said yours is hard starting. Check the battery, solenoid, and the starter. I have videos for the starter and solenoid. Thanks. Be sure to share and rate Thumbs Up
electronicsNmore Well I got it to start 3 times using starting fluid, just got the scooter a month ago from private party and he already had it running. It starts right up when I am leaving for work, its after sitting all night that is the issue. I got tired of the issue and used your vid to tear apart the carb, replaced choke or whatever the electronic thing attached to carb. After a few times of cranking with no starting it makes a grinding sound or electronic hum. Then it will go to not trying to do anything. I turn off ignition then it will try a few times to turnover then, it starts progression over. I have replaced battery also with tractor battery that fits under seat. I was thinking starter since that might be the sound it is making.
Good video, I have a question regarding the "load:" you have represented across your two leads on the four pin connector. I'm new to scooter troubleshooting, but the cdi, on ac units, shows 2 parallel circuits, one for the coil that feeds the spark plug, the other lead feeds the pick up on your stator. The way you show the load in the video is only across a coil?? Is your circuit correct? Or is there 2 parallet circuits as described above. Thanks for the info.
First off I have to say u sir electronicsNmore are a genius this is an excellent video and is very informative. I have a issue which with my scooter. It ran the day I purchased it and haven't touched since then. Stored it till all paper work was done, about month and a 1/2 later doesn't want start. Is this due to bad gas, switch in brake or kill switch this is just what i figure. Your help would be graciously appreciated and any other of you guys out there.
Tolona Anderson Hi Tolona. If the engine cranks, but does not start, then suspect a fuel problem. To confirm a fuel problem, squirt a small amount of gas into the air intake hose and see if the scooter starts right up then stalls out. Thanks For Watching
Great video tutorials,I have a problem where the engine want turn over period its just frozen, the electric and everything works but when I try to start it the motor want do anything, could that be the starter?or should I check and how do I test to see if the starter is good?thanks for any suggestions>
I explained in this video what to do. Either you're not getting power to the solenoid, have a faulty start switch, or faulty solenoid. You need to do some testing.
thank you so much for such a helpful info. great way to explain things. my question is about the green wires. you only refer to one. why do you leave one out? thank you so much, before hand for your answer
Video is really good. I have just bought a vmoto milan 50jx. Its not turning over, ie startmotor gets nothing. Bike was initially stolen and I bought it after. I hear a clicking noise coming from the solenoid when I start ignition. Any ideas?
Hello electronicsNmore, love your videos man. So i have gy6 125 cc scooter. And it has no spark.I check cdi, stator and ignition coil, everything is alright, but when i check kill switch with it being on it always shows me that it's grounded, and i dont know if the problem is with kill switch or key switch, how do i find out, whith which one is the problem? Sorry for my bad english. It's not my native language.
It is either the kill switch or the key switch. Remove the kill switch and see if the wire still shows as grounded. If it does not, then get a new kill switch. If it does, the suspect a faulty key switch. Thanks For Watching! Be sure to share, and rate a thumbs up.
Some scooters have a kill switch connected to the side kick-stand to prevent starting with both wheels on the ground and no rider. The starter motor will still turn over but the switch will not provide spark to the plug. Easy to overlook this safety feature.
Great video, on the one i'm working on all I did was replace the drive belt. I did turn engine beckwards some. But now it wont start, it has spark and fuel. When you take plug wire off it sounds different than with it on.I also replaced plug still no start.
Double check that the engine's timing marks all line up, Also check all the wires/connections you may have touched. Your sure the stop engine switch is not on? See this video here: Highly Detailed GY6 Valve Adjustment Procedure(Step By Step)
Thanks, everything is on, good spark, On the compression you can hold your finger over plug hole it doesnt blow your finger off plug. The timing marks seemed right, the T lines up with mark on case and circle on cam is on top, what now
You must of done something. Not feeling pressure over the spark plug hole while cranking is not good. You have the valve cover off? Make sure both valves are closed when the timing marks are lined up. Your scooter worked perfectly before you decided to change the belt?
+Ronald hargraves Hi Ron. You need to perform the tests. Could be a bad wire, faulty switch, faulty starter, faulty solenoid, or alarm system problem. Thanks For Watching!
Thanks for responding. this scooter has been a headache, one thing after another. I'll check the things you requested. I just bought a CDI and starter solenoid. Also, I was told it could be my alarm system.
What your thought on checking coil having the voltage being solid not pulsing? Ultimately i don't have spark that is the starting issue at this point. Thanks again. My scooter does have auto start on the key foband i am wondering if the alarm has a kill switch not letting the spark.
Aaron Woolhiser Hi there. Everything you need to know is in this video, or another one of my videos. I do not offer any advanced level of support on my channel, I only answer simple viewer questions(which many other channels never do), with one follow up. I actually went well above that with you already. I simply do not have the time to assist everyone who is looking for an advanced level of help. I supply a well detailed, well explained video, and the rest is up to my viewers. Viewers that support my channel with donations, or show they posted a couple links to share my channel, they would be entitled to a "higher" level of assistance. Thanks For Watching
I acquired a 50 cc Chinese motor bike that has been sitting for a year and it gets no spark. Thank you for the video. Here are my results from the unplugged plug. Kill switch works. Don't know how accurate harbor freight meter I bought new is but here goes: Stator wire 495 ohms. Pick up coil 149 ohms. Primary coil, one meter probe on battery ground wire other at cdi plug yellow black wire 3.5 ohms with harbor freight meter, another meter showed .6 ohms. You say under 3 ohms or over .8 ohms so is there a problem with mine?? Tested now turning over engine: Stator wire 70 vac, pick up wire using a analog meter .25 vac, Secondary coil using harbor freight digital meter set at 20k read 3.3. is that 3.3 mean 3.3 ohms or 3,300 ohms?? You say should be between 2000 and 4,500 ohms. Spark plug and wire are good. Still no spark at spark plug, even tried testing for spark with spark plug wire removed and grounded wire a 1/8 inch from coil spark plug screw. Still no spark. Any thoughts??
Hi there, It has been a while since I made this video. :-) You removed the kill switch wire from the CDI before testing for spark? A faulty key switch can also prevent the engine from starting, but if you removed the kill switch wire from the CDI, that should make no difference. You made sure all the ground and +12V wires are connected? You tested/inspected each connector to make sure there are no open circuits? Pick up coil sounds fine from my memory. Stator wire I do not recall, Was it in the range I mentioned in the video? When I mention a particular ohms range, it does not have to be exact. Just as long as it is close in value, you should be fine. 20k setting with a reading of 3.3 = 3.3K or 3300ohms. You unscrewed the spark plug wire from the coil and tested from the screw inside the coil to ground using an 1/8" gap. That should have sparked if everything else was OK. Your missing something. Go back over everything. Sounding like a bad CDI. Thanks For Watching. Be sure to rate a thumbs up, share, and check out my other gy6 videos.
thanks for your quick reply. all ground and 12v wires connected, no open circuits. Stator range 430-630 mine 495 ohms. Pick up coil range 140-185 mine 149 ohms. Stator vac range 65-90 mine 70vac. pickup coil is ,25vac same as what you got in the video. Secondary coil circuit range 2000-4500 range, mine 3,300. Only problem I see possibly is the primary coil test you say range is over .8 and under 3 ohms. I put one meter probe on battery ground wire other at cdi plug yellow black wire and got 3.5 ohms with harbor freight meter, another meter showed .6 ohms. These are both out of the range you stated, what do you think about those readings. Also I am trying to locate the voltage regulator on the scooter where might that be in the wiring of the ignition circuit. Thank you so much for sharing your knowldege.
Those ranges seem fine. The V-reg is located above the glove box, and below the handle bars. The front plastic cover on the scooter by the headlight assembly needs to be removed to access it. The v-reg is bolted to the frame.
thanks again for quick reply, so do you think it is the cdi or coi or stator. One online thread I read says the pick up wire must have at least .5vac to trigger the cdi then coil. Mine is only putting out .25vac.
Hi there, this tutorial was very helpful in me testing out my GY6 The issue I have is more than likely fuel, after watching this and running all the tests that is My scooter will just crank and crank but will not turn on unless I remove the air filter hose and shoot some starter fluid into the carb. Once I do that the scooter starts up no problem and after I let it warm up it will turn off and on without any issues so long as the engine was still warmed up. Would you happen to know of any reasons as to why it's doing this? Cause I can get it to start with that method each time but it's a real pain in the neck to constantly do that when I wanna go out for a ride. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Very simple to rule out fuel. squirt some small amounts of gas into the carb and see if it starts right up. If it does not, then your problem is NOT fuel. Thanks For Watching.
I shoot some starter fluid into the carb and it will turn on without issue. The issue is that if I DON'T shoot any starter fluid into the carb it will just crank forever and not start up.
First off, great instructional video. I still have a problem though, I'm getting no spark and I've run through everything you did and they were all within a close range of your values. The only test that was off was when you were cranking at 15:51 in the video, I'm reading only about 55 volts. Is this too far out of range as to prevent the engine starting?
Probably OK. If you connected up a battery charger, then tried it, you would see a higher voltage output due to faster engine cranking. You need to check EVERY wire connection for the ignition system. If everything works by the stator, then check to make sure the stop switch is not keeping the engine from starting. If it tests OK, then swap out the ignition coil and cdi.
electronicsNmore If you mean every wire connection, I did every single one you mentioned in the video only. The stop switch test worked on the way you showed how to test it. I got a new cdi and installed it and it sounded like it was closer to cranking but still wouldn't start up. Had the battery at fully charged at that point.
Try a new coil. If all the tests on the harness heading to the stator/pick up coil were fine, that does not leave much. Ignition coil or cdi, unless the information you are giving me is not accurate. Between the video, and your testing abilities, you should be able to figure it out.
electronicsNmore I was reading 55 volts with the battery charger on as well. I order a new stator and put only that in and that was the problem. The old one, in two different coils of the copper wiring, looked blown out (not deep, but a couple of layers down). Not sure how that happened, but its running now. Thanks.
That is all good information. I am new to mopeds and don't understand half of what you said. My apologizes I have a moped That I have to use a battery charger to start, as long as it is running it's fine but as soon as I shut it off and try to start it again it won't it acts as thou the battery is dead. i have a dial type tester and it shows the battery is fully charged. My question is why won't it start?
I just have a random question .. On the 4-plug part of the CDI .. What was the reason behind them making it 4-Plugged if many of our scoots only have 3 wires?
Hi I’m having a major issue with my gy6 scooter basically when I’m getting no spark and I changed out the whole entire ignition system and even knew battery and still not getting a spark I changed out the cdi and ignition coil and new spark plug and when I turn the key there’s about 3 different wires that start to smoke and get hot what can this problem be and how would I fix it PLEASE leave some advise and I love ur videos man??
My problem is with fuel delivery. The scooter (Lexmoto still chinese rubbish..) is using up what fuel has dribbled into the carb then cutting out and not starting until more fuel has entered. Can I simply replace the pain in the bleeeep vacuum fuel petcock with a manual cut off switch with no vacuum? Save me so much hastle replacing all those horrible cheap hoses. Just will replace the hoses that are being used i.e. fuel lines. Seems like so many people online have I think you mentioned your manual cut off switch you installed in another video? They say "cap off" the vacuum line that goes into the vacuum petcock and it should be good to go.
Rocketta sicily 50... always runs good. Rode to the store this morning, came out, tried to leave. No juice!! Ignition is relatively new, tests good. Battery is fully charged. Also tests good. No cranking, no lights. Electrical problem for sure... Any thoughts??
That sucks. Never give up! LOL I bet it is something simple. I don't think you ever told me in the very beginning what the problem was that made you replace everything. How did the problem occur?
You're gonna have to pop the valve cover off the top. Put the piston at top dead center compression. remove the spark plug and rotate the engine via crankshaft or rotating the back wheel if its not locked up. then get one of the locknut wrench sets for the jamnut on the rockers and some feeling gauges and look up the specs on clearance and youll be all set.
Great video! It was very helpful while I was troubleshooting my daughter's Schwinn hope 50 scoot. As it turned out, I had forgotten about the kickstand-kill switch on this model. >face-palm
My GY6 150 just had some electrical issues and i am STUMPED. Tried to start it and the tail light, rear brake light, and left side both blinkers all didn't work and it wouldn't start. When i took it apart to check out things i found that the green (ground) wire from stator up to battery area get super hot to the touch. Did my ground fail? Any advice?
You need to probe the wires to the lights to make sure 12v is present. If it is, try grounding the other wire to the light to see if the lights come on. Sounds like a bad ground. Don't forget to share, and rate a thumbs up. Thanks!
I think your work is really helpful! Thank you very much. Does anyone know how to test a non-mechanical speedo cable setup? Please? Remember, its a magnetic impulse type speedo which isn't working. When it started breaking down, it seemed to work intermittently, flicking on and off. Cheers, Den, Wales.!
Hi Doug - I'm getting nothing (no change in the ohms reading) from the black and yellow connection that goes directly into the CDI - almost as though there is a break in the connection. Do you have any suggestions for what I should check next?
I've got a mysterious cold starting problem. Left overnight, I'll get one pop from the engine on hitting the starter and then nothing but cranking. Later in the day, tried again, sometimes it starts right up. Once it does, and it's warmed up, it starts perfectly the rest of the day and runs great. The valves have been adjusted, the carb is clean, and I've tried replacing the CDI which was no solution. A mechanic I know thinks it's a problem with the wiring going into the CDI. But can I ask what you think? What would cause this hot-cold issue? Thanks in advance!
Jay, Could be a fuel problem, or a faulty enricher solenoid(which I have a video for in a week or 2). The next time you go to start it and it does the same thing, try putting some propane gas into the air inlet hose to see if it starts. If it does, then your problem is fuel. If you don't have propane, then squirt a SMALL amount of gas to see what happens.
After recharging the battery over night, my 150 cc scooter moped has no electric power when the main switch is turned on, the panel lights don't even light up, of course there is no reaction at all when I try to start it up. I tested the voltage of the battery with a multi-meter which read 12.78 volts. Then I tested the fuse for continuity which is good. I also tried to kick start for a few times without success. After that, I tested the continuity from the red wire connected positive lead of the battery to the main switch and then turned the main switch on with a key then checked the continuity between the red wire to the black wire behind the switch and the continuities on both tests are okay. To make sure that the electric power reach the main switch, I measured the voltage across the red wire and black behind the main switch, and it read the same as the battery voltage. So now I am at a lost as to what to do next... as I remember when the main switch is turned on the panel lights are supposed to light up, but now it does nothing at all. As if things are not confused enough, when I measured the voltage across the 2 leads of the starting relay, it read 1.78 volts. I double checked it and yes it was 1.78 volts. Then I measured the battery voltage, and it was also 1.78 volts. I thought it must've been the faulty battery that was the problem and dis-connected the battery and took it out and measured the battery again by itself, but the reading this time was 12.38 volts. So now I am totally confounded. Can you tell me what might the problem be?
My 2 stroke 110 genuine rabbit is making the clicking sound when I try to start it. I replaced the Illinois and it's still making the clicking sound unless I had too bad. Illinois, I don't know what else to check. I'd rather check the starter motor any ideas thank you?

So I viewed the video a couple of times , pulled off the Tarp of the Gy6 machine that had been parked for 5 years, found the problem in about 30 Min , Verified the problem and found parts online . It was extremely difficult to find good publications or technical help . The Chinese companies could care less, they basically disappeared once the sale is made . ford sucks... chevys never die.

Yes, that also happens. Thanks for watching Mark!
@tiehut
In this world we have many good people, but unfortunately there are also many "Losers" as you stated. Illogical considering they did not even pay for the help I gave.
electronicsNmore Thanks for the video. I unlike others, appreciate the fact that you took the time to post a video to HELP others....
Thank you electronicsNmore for the great video, you helped me out big time. Again thanks for your time and effort doing this video.
electronics and more, thanks for share your knowledge and post your videos but I say again , scooters chinesse are cheap crap, I have one and is problem after problem, I decide buy Suzuki burgman 650 used and is very nice I put 1000 miles on it with 0 problems and I paid 1500 bucks and for the chinesse scooter brand new paid 1200 and have only 800 miles and bunch of problems, Im going to scrap it.again thanks for share your knowledge.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the tips!
Thank you!

I am waiting for my scooter to arrive I just ordered a few days ago I have been watching videos constantly since then and I must say yours are incredible I look forward to everything you upload. I am ignorant when it comes to anything electrical or engine wise I have never been involved in dealing with either or either end in buying a scooter that did not come highly recommended I knew and understood I would have to learn some things or pay 4 things and in my situation learning is better even at 47 so I just wanted to thank you because I think that your video will probably be the most useful item in my arsenal of keeping this thing going I ordered a couple of books off Amazon used for a few bucks as references but once again I commend you and being so professional and explaining everything from soup to nuts in your video hopefully I will not have to use it very often but if it does not start your video will be the first one I go to again thank you very much
Thank You VERY much. Glad you like them. :-)
Hello, and thanks for the great video up front : ) I hope you are still open to a question or 2.. I would like you to know that i watched your video several times over by the end, and tried to listened very carefully before posting any comments / questions, as to not waste any of your time. Hopefully i did not miss anything i am about to ask ; )
Just a couple bits of info first that may help.
( i also get the same readings if i just meter the leads on the coil directly while not connected to system)
Skipping forward to 19:30, Coil tests.
-EJ
Disconnect the wires to the engine STOP switch, then try again. If noting still, then try a new CDI. Make sure the pick up coil is also working.
Thanks man, my coil was bad this is an excellent tutorial on how to troubleshoot electric problems, scoot runing again thanks
Glad I was able to help. A thumbs up, and sharing my videos with others would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
i have a jonway yy150t-12.
How would you remedy that?
Bill Ott Glad I was able to help! Be sure to share my channel with others and rate Thumbs Up. Thanks!
Great video but just one question. What is the voltage reading from the CDI to the coil primary?
Thanks again for the great video.

You're welcome! Please be sure to share my channel with others.
You're welcome! Please be sure to rate thumbs up and share my channel with others. Thanks
it was good to have first saying the name of the parts and then showing them. that makes understanding better.. good video
Be sure to rate thumbs up, check out my other GY6 videos, and share. Thanks!
Thanks for watching Mario!
hey bud never got back to replying to you. but you video did help me out on my gy6!
:-) Thanks. I have to deal with cars and dogs too, but I edit them out the best I can.
Thanks For Watching!
Thanks a lot very helpful we had problems with our scooter not cranking fast enough after watching your video we found the ground wire on the frame came loose thanks again very very helpful

Excellent Video and I learned much. On my Schwinn Graduate, I got no readings from the coil, leading me to believe the coil is dead. I knew I had no fire by using a simple inline spark light. Now I just have to figure out where to buy parts. Any suggestions?
Google product search. :-)
+Sergio Rojas
Hi Sergio.
Sounds like the starter is not making contact with the gear behind the flywheel, or the spacing is off, allowing it to not engage.
No video on oil leaks, because there are many places they can occur. If you have a leak, then you need to replace a gasket/o-ring.
Thanks For Watching
2021 and this is still a very useful well presented video. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful Jerry! Be sure to check out my GY6 video playlist and share. Thank you
@@electronicsNmore I'm just repairing my granddaughters 125 scooter and a question if I may? The cdi unit were you have the black and red wire only has a single wire a black one do you know what that would 2017 model. Many thans
@@jerrybootneck1736 It should have more than a black wire. You can search online for gy6 cdi images to help.
@@electronicsNmore ok many thanks I was hoping to find a red and black but even the chicken on that connector only has a single pin
Nick Goebel starter coil?
Hi there! What a detailed video! Have a question for you. What if my starter makes a sound like it's not engaging to the engine? Like when I git the start button, it's sounds like it's working but just not engaging. Please help?
If you get readings close to the values shown in the video, then it makes no difference how rusted.
Absolutely Brilliant, best description of any troubleshooting i have seen. Really appreciated.
Marinus Slabbert Slav Glad to hear that! Be sure to rate thumbs up, check out my video playlists, and share my channel with others. Thanks
my friend gave me a 150 that wouldnt start when i watched your video about the kill switch, ill be dang i went outside and the switch was on kill. that is the first scooter ive had so thank you for your informative video
Great to hear!
Excellent video - thanks! So I have a Chinese scooter (never again) and my new battery (2nd) is not holding a charge; I checked the stator wires and they appear to push energy... what do you think I should check? Thanks again
Hi Roc,
Yeah, these scooters are not for everyone.
Can you kick start it?
HI, very helpful video, good job! My scooter won't start no spark all of sudden. Followed your video when I test the red wire coming from the stator, no resistance reading and no current coming out of it when I crank the engine. What does it mean, is my stator bad and needs to be replaced? Please reply asap. need to fix my scooter. I use it for work. Thanks
mobuis juan If you get anything vastly different from the video, then that part will need to be replaced. depending on which test failed, you can buy a replacement stator or pick up coil.
Thanks for replying so soon, I guest I need to replace my stator then.
my dude shortly after running harness through frame no spark ended up bad cdi very helpful

great video, when measuring my resistance from the black and yellow wire it was high. you mentioned not above 3 and i got 5 . any suggestions on my next move?
Thank you! Where in the video?

IMPORTANT!! When testing the green ground wire going to the CDI, does the key have to be on or off?????
Your videos are helpful. I put a new motor on my 150cc vento 08 and it don't turn over. I used a tester that just lights up when it's on the plugs, i changed the back wires and cdi box still no start. If it's the alarm that won't let it start what do i do?

If the scooter starts right up when you use starting fluid after it sits all night, then your problem is either a faulty enricher, or faulty carb.
You really covered things well in this video!

Good video, I have a question regarding the "load:" you have represented across
your two leads on the four pin connector. I'm new to scooter troubleshooting, but
the cdi, on ac units, shows 2 parallel circuits, one for the coil that feeds the spark
plug, the other lead feeds the pick up on your stator. The way you show the load
in the video is only across a coil?? Is your circuit correct? Or is there 2 parallet
circuits as described above. Thanks for the info.
Charles Martinez What "load"? I am not sure of other types. The only type I know is shown in this video.

I have one of these scooters and I can't get my headlights and taillights to work. Running or brights. Do you have any suggestions
Hi Mike. It sounds like a faulty stator or bad ground connection. Make sure the regulator didn't go bad and burn out all the lights.
@@electronicsNmore they came on briefly one time but nothing ever since. How would I check the regulator?
If they came on briefly, then you have a poor connection or bad wire. Good luck finding it. You need to do a very careful inspection.

Great video tutorials,I have a problem where the engine want turn over period its just frozen, the electric and everything works but when I try to start it the motor want do anything, could that be the starter?or should I check and how do I test to see if the starter is good?thanks for any suggestions>
Can you kick start it?
very good video. Mine GY6 is not cranking. Only when I jump the solenoid? You can make a video about that too
I explained in this video what to do. Either you're not getting power to the solenoid, have a faulty start switch, or faulty solenoid. You need to do some testing.
thank you so much for such a helpful info. great way to explain things. my question is about the green wires. you only refer to one. why do you leave one out? thank you so much, before hand for your answer
All solid green wires are grounded to the chasis/battery NEG.
Thanks For Watching!
Video is really good. I have just bought a vmoto milan 50jx. Its not turning over, ie startmotor gets nothing. Bike was initially stolen and I bought it after. I hear a clicking noise coming from the solenoid when I start ignition. Any ideas?
Try another battery. Check all connections.
Hello electronicsNmore,love your videos man.

3:37 I am talking replacing that exact petcock vacuum valve with a manual cut off switch fuel valve.
Some scooters have a kill switch connected to the side kick-stand to prevent starting with both wheels on the ground and no rider. The starter motor will still turn over but the switch will not provide spark to the plug. Easy to overlook this safety feature.
Yes, this model didn't have that. Thanks for watching!
I just read that Loftur Hjalmarsson posted the same thing 1 year ago... Sorry to be repetitive. Very informative video. Cheers.
See this video here:
Highly Detailed GY6 Valve Adjustment Procedure(Step By Step)
Thanks, everything is on, good spark, On the compression you can hold your finger over plug hole it doesnt blow your finger off plug. The timing marks seemed right, the T lines up with mark on case and circle on cam is on top, what now
You must of done something. Not feeling pressure over the spark plug hole while cranking is not good. You have the valve cover off? Make sure both valves are closed when the timing marks are lined up. Your scooter worked perfectly before you decided to change the belt?
Thanks for this. I'm having an issue with my electric start button. It doesn't work. Any suggestions?
+Ronald hargraves
Hi Ron.

Hi there,
It has been a while since I made this video.
Mine is only putting out .25vac.
cdi and coil are cheap. You can buy them on Ebay. What was my pick up reading? Go by that.
Hi there, this tutorial was very helpful in me testing out my GY6
The issue I have is more than likely fuel, after watching this and running all the tests that is
My scooter will just crank and crank but will not turn on unless I remove the air filter hose and shoot some starter fluid into the carb.
I would take apart the carb and make sure everything is clean(no clogged ports). I would also add an inline fuel filter on your scooter. .
Between the video, and your testing abilities, you should be able to figure it out.
electronicsNmore
I was reading 55 volts with the battery charger on as well. I order a new stator and put only that in and that was the problem. The old one, in two different coils of the copper wiring, looked blown out (not deep, but a couple of layers down). Not sure how that happened, but its running now. Thanks.
This video kicks ass - thanks for your video.

Hi I’m having a major issue with my gy6 scooter basically when I’m getting no spark and I changed out the whole entire ignition system and even knew battery and still not getting a spark I changed out the cdi and ignition coil and new spark plug and when I turn the key there’s about 3 different wires that start to smoke and get hot what can this problem be and how would I fix it PLEASE leave some advise and I love ur videos man??
Clearly a short circuit somewhere.
I’ve been schooled, thank you
Great vid. My cdi, coil seems fine or I have replaced. I have good spark but the scoot won't start even with starting fluid HELP
If everything tested fine according to this video, then check your valves according to my other video.
Just curious is the idle enriched an open or closed loop component? Also do you need neutral switch to get spark?
Rocketta sicily 50... always runs good. Rode to the store this morning, came out, tried to leave. No juice!! Ignition is relatively new, tests good. Battery is fully charged. Also tests good. No cranking, no lights. Electrical problem for sure... Any thoughts??
You check the fuse by the battery? Also check ALL connections from the battery, to the starter, etc. Take them apart, and put them back.
yep... did that. Thinking it's the CDI. Everything is testing good to that point
CDI would not cut all power off to the scooter. Your missing something
I gave up and called my mechanic... Thanks though. He picked it up a while ago and will be fixing it tomorrow. Thanks though
That sucks. Never give up! LOL I bet it is something simple. I don't think you ever told me in the very beginning what the problem was that made you replace everything. How did the problem occur?

Thanks mate. It just strange that it only done around 1000kms. Do you have a video on how to adjust valves?
You're gonna have to pop the valve cover off the top. Put the piston at top dead center compression. remove the spark plug and rotate the engine via crankshaft or rotating the back wheel if its not locked up. then get one of the locknut wrench sets for the jamnut on the rockers and some feeling gauges and look up the specs on clearance and youll be all set.

Probably need to use an oscilloscope. Could be a faulty wire or power supply issue. Make sure the power supply is constant.
Hi Doug - I'm getting nothing (no change in the ohms reading) from the black and yellow connection that goes directly into the CDI - almost as though there is a break in the connection. Do you have any suggestions for what I should check next?
If the results do not match fairly close to what's shown in the video, then either the component is faulty, or there's a bad wire/faulty connection.
Jay,
Could be a fuel problem, or a faulty enricher solenoid(which I have a video for in a week or 2).

Sounds like a bad connection, or an engine ground wire problem. You need to check every connection.
Thanks, Sir, for taking your time to answer my question. I really appreciate it.
My 2 stroke 110 genuine rabbit is making the clicking sound when I try to start it. I replaced the Illinois and it's still making the clicking sound unless I had too bad. Illinois, I don't know what else to check. I'd rather check the starter motor any ideas thank you?
what sort of resistance reading should you get on the center electrode with a RESISTOR type of plug ?
Joe f. Please refer to my highly popular spark plug testing video! Thanks

Glued to your video, have a Lance 2008, lights come on, no crank up just a clicking sound on the starter soliniod? Any tips on where to start

Hi there. Clicking sound is either a low battery, faulty solenoid, or faulty starter.
