    I was so excited for this video. I am definitely having problems with my vessels. I found out a few days ago in the Living Felt Friends that there was a problem with the resists I was drawing. I was making the bottom of my resists flat. I am so grateful to Marie and all of the Felting Fairies. I have learned so much from your videos and whenever I run into problems I just rewatch the videos. I love you guys so much ❤ Karen Mooney

    Thank you Marie, these are excellent tips. There is a bowl in the background that looks like the beach, on your left as you're facing the camera on 3 books and next to a bird. I would love to see that up close. It looks like a sort of sideways somewhat flat vessel. Neat colors too.

    OH no still taking my hubby for post stoke apointments! i dont think we will be back in time! i had a few questions but will have to hope Marie answers them. love book resists so this will be fun.
    - what is the thinest resist she has tryed and can paplate while laying out wool? (just curious)
    -(when i first tryed wet felting in the 1980's a cardbord resist was used.) will you/did you reveiw what are the disadvantages of cardbord as a resist? deteriationm, gets stuck in wool, can transfer dies and markers to interior of felt. but it dose increas its flexability as it gets soaked. i try to be positive!
    lastly,
    -when using bubble wrap as a resist would it be advisable to use it dubble layered so you have the bubbles affecting both sides of the resist evenly?
    sorry all the stress lately seems to have made the dislexia much more inthusiastic. i hope you have fun and i cant wate to watch the replay ok i will have to wate but i will try to be patent. Have fun!!

    What is the best way to get a good even layer around a cylindrical vase.

    • @mariespaulding8182
      @mariespaulding8182 3 месяца назад

      Around a vase is a bit of a challenge, but you might try batting 1st. Put the 1st layer TOP DOWN, then AROUND, REPEAT AS DESIRED.

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  3 месяца назад +1

      10:41 Tip 5: Choose the Best Shape In this step, we explain -- Taper the top of an open resist to keep the sides of your felted piece straight. This is because the wool tends to flare out. Also, if you want your piece to sit on a round bottom, round out the bottom of your resist. Otherwise, it will just be like one of the sides = straight. :)
