Everytime you watched a video the app's storage increase 15-20Mb idk why
The older version tend to have redundant files. this was the same problem with apps like ML. Luckily they introduced the in app delete redundant file feature.

This helped a ton! I had 30 gigs of space being taken up after clearing everything . So I just deleted the app and reinstalled it and it went back to .19 gigs 🤣

Here’s the thing. I would delete the app but I have so many vids I haven’t uploaded. I’m a cosplayer and I can’t get rid of them that easily.

I did everything you said, and the amount of space it takes up actually increased.
I dunno why that would happen. Unless something has changed. This was posted a long time ago so things with the app have probably gone under changed. Maybe I’ll make a new video.
@@nogoodttv6112actually the 1st step has alrdy done the part for me. Basically everytime you edit a video in tiktok without using other apps like capcut, they have cached files saved which led my tiktok went from 1.28 gb to 24.75gb in internal storage, after clearing caches by pressing the current new button called Free Up Space, then you can clear caches data and also previously downloaded filters, effects on tiktok. I did this step only, it straight away drop back to 1.28gb which is the basic amount of databased for tiktok system files and also profile data

I think it helped.... I had 50gb on it haha what the actual hell? - I do livestream on it everyday though, and most of my music business comes from it, so it's a helpful tool, but 50gb ! I've followed your advice, seems better

deleting the app works for a short time but for some reason withing two weeks all of the same storage issues came back. Its like all of the vids I liked or commented on robbed me of storage space again. Really weird.
An Apple tech guy just told me saved vids takes up major space 🤔 needed this video!!

just deleted like 2500 drafts and posted like 50 of them and it freed up SO MUCH SPACE

You don’t lose your videos. I’m not positive about the liked videos. It’s been so long since I did it

So TikTok has changed A LOT since I posted this. I know that it will delete your drafts. When I did it I didn’t lose saved videos and sounds. I should probably research any new settings and do a new video.

In theory no , it won't delete ur account it will still be there you just have to remember your email and password or username and password to log back in ,done.

Why not just clear app data in system settings
They didn’t have that feature when I made this video. Not sure if it’ll do the same but I would imagine it should.

Eek. I’m honestly not sure. It’s been so long since I did it. I wanna say yes they do. But I’m not positive. Give it a google search I’m sure you’ll find the answer.
Yes it 100% deletes your drafts. That’s why it saves so much storage
