  • The Education Ministry is fine-tuning the micro-credentials landscape to make it easier for adult learners. Micro-credentials are short courses that teach a specific topic. These can then be stacked together for a full qualification. Meanwhile, a Skills Pathway -- which provides industry-related training that leads to certifications -- has been launched for the cybersecurity sector. Mr Sam Liew, president of the Singapore Computer Society, and Mr Alvin Aloysius Goh, executive director of the Singapore Human Resource Institute, discussed how these will attract mid-career workers to the sector.

I support all these government initiatives but they keep harping on upskilling as though the workers don’t have the right skills and this is what constitutes the unemployment right now. Its seems they have ran out of ideas and it’s the only solution they can think of. This has been going on for years but are we are still in the status quo.

What's the point of all these trainings and certifications if there are no suitable jobs?

“Not only do PAP MPs work part-time, they use residents’ money to outsource to managing agents the work they are supposed to do. Managing agents are private, profit-making agencies. They add another layer of expenses for residents,” Dr Chee said.

@martindawn934 The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) has been ordered to put up a correction notice on it's social media post, after it published false statements about the case of three women charged with organising a procession along the perimeter of the Istana without a permit.

This is why PAP-run town councils keep on raising S&CC, the last round of increase (by as much as $17/month/unit) came in the last couple of years.”

We will not focus on cyber security entry.
We want to make all cyber security aspirants to be hackers.
