She can be brave because of her position as the daughter of the Ruler of Dubai. There are many, many women in these Gulf states who are helplessly stuck in awful, abusive marriages who can't get out because their husbands won't give them divorce. They need the husband's consent first to get a divorce from him!

The crown Prince of Brunei must be around 50 years old now. Also he married his wife when he was 30 and his wife was 16 or 17, which is quite a big age gap.

@@AB-nk6sm Yes, commoners can't walk away from their awful marriages to adulterous or abusive husbands because consent has to be given by the men. This is one of the few instances where a woman has more power to decide for herself as she is a daughter of Sheikh Al-Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.

Alexandra, that intro to what the King n Queen were doing in Parliament sounded really strange so I wonder if I misunderstood. You said Charles was there to deliver a speech WRITTEN BY HIS GOVERNMENT. Doesn’t he get to give his own speech written by him with help from his speechwriter of course? Does Parliament actually write it, send it to the King and tell him this is what you’re going to say? If that’s what happens it just rubs me wrong that he can’t even use his own words. Sheika Mahra is right but it is a shame, they were such a beautiful couple. Another Saudi woman could not hope to copy her behavior. They are not allowed to use triple talaq, only the men are. Nor could a Saudi woman divorce and be able to keep her own children; the husband would have custody of the child. Which is why most Saudi women so rarely get a divorce; who would leave their children, no matter how unhappy. Saudi men can have more than one wife legally. She is half Greek. She should stay single or marry a Westerner. But she has her daughter and that will make her happy.
Sheikhs Mahra’s husband like his fellow citizen Khalid Al Ameri Is following in the footsteps of the prophet (PBUH) and his sunnahs. It is clearly mandated by Allah through his beloved prophet that a believer can have a maximum choice of 4 wives and anytime he falls in love with another woman he is sanctioned to divorce one of his wives and marry the new love of his life. There is no compulsion to remain married to Salama as long as Khalid supports his children financially and releases the divorce agreed amount of money to Salama his ex wife.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) too wanted to divorce his second wife Sawdah because she was fat and ugly & marry a new beautiful young girl. But Sawdah agreed to forfeit some of her cohabitation & c0pulation rights and allow her husband the prophet to take on a new wife in lieu of her if he didn’t divorce her. Later on Allah sent down a convenient verse to his beloved prophet that he alone was allowed to take on limitless numbers of wives. He should not restrict himself to 4 wives.
Salalma & Mahra should emulate Sawdah the wife of the prophet & stop fretting and be obedient to the commands of Allah.
For Allah knows best.
