Morrissey talking about the punk movement and the influence it has had. Taken from the documentary F U, presented by Jonathan Ross. Broadcasted on BBC 3 (11 December 2004).
*I've read his missives to the music weeklies of the time lambasting all the UK bands [including SEX PISTOLS] as absolute ROT [except of course BUZZCOCKS - because they're from 'MANCHESTER']* *I've also heard him described as an 'Alternative Singer' .... whatever THAT'S supposed to mean [is he an alternative to singing...]*
Whoever edited this, I do not know what to say. It is so a thing of the 2000's where you'd see these one off things. Just repulsive, other than Morrissey actually talking about the punk movement.
This excerpt from Morrissey's interview belongs in the PUNK! exhibit currently at the MET .
